rewatching this and the day of Sigma makes me think that the virus that infected Sigma from Zero doesn't really have a reason to be evil. It's just a plain sadistic nature to see chaos unfold and toy with the will of the innocent, to see how far they'll go. Sigma's view of the world is the same as sitting on a throne and watch with pleasure seeing a pure and innocent being have to make a sacrifice between his selfishness or his growth. X is too forgiving and a rethinker, he's like a pure child. Sigma seeing X's "limitless danger" is more of in the eyes of what an innocent person can't do when they have to be decisive. However we all know he is proven wrong.

for those who are having trouble keeping more than 1 subtank when you fight sigma here's a hint: power up your mega buster to where it either shoots out the big blue shot or the pink 1 when you fight the wolf. the wolf will have no chance to use any of the attacks he does. he'll fall backwards every time. this will ensure you have at least 2 or 3 for sigma's final form.
The voices are fantastic, X games finally got good dub (X4 still gives me nightmares). Too bad that I don´t have psp to play this game. Frost Walrus show your face! I know you are hidden there making the WARNING sound!! (sorry but it sounds like a seal XD).
Well to be honest about it, the whole final Velgauder Sigma battle is different because in the original it was pretty much just a still body with floating hands. In this it's an entire mechanized machine torso coming from the wall and the whole body moves along with the hands. I think I know which attacks you are talking about but the whole boss in general is easier because you can see things coming easier than in the original because the whole body makes movements.
4. Sigma 1st form always has a cape that he takes off before fighting X or Zero in both games. His 2nd form is weak against large spherical weapons (Rolling Shield in MMX and Spike Ball in MMX5) and attacks with his fists in the fight.
That makes sense. I leapt to conclusions and thought that the game's general speed was slower to match with the difficulty decrease of MMPU. To be fair though, they did get rid of/nerf final Sigma and Velgauder's cheapest attacks, which is a good change, even if it makes the game easier.
Not sure if you knew this. But the Dog battle before Sigma, You can blast him a couple of times with Shotgun Ice. (Spam it 5 or 6 times) and he dies in under 10 seconds
You know, if you fail to get the buster upgrade canister, zero can actually give x his buster arm when he dies, and if you have zeros buster part the full charge shot will be a red plasma shot which is actually stronger on sigmas wolf form than the pink spiral shot from the upgrade canister
Lord Hyperdragon well when i played it all the upgrades were not there where they were suppose to be so I just thought oh they took them out of this game so i beat it with no armor or dash boots or buster upgrade

You can also use the tornado on the dog for easier kill........for Sigma just keep on climbing and dropping on the wall and hit hime while going up or while he's on the ground.......for the bigger Sigma.......dont know....never defeated himm
This may have been said before, and it may be kind of a nerdy observation, but the conversation between X and Sigma sounds like Goku and Vegeta. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they used the same voice actors, honestly.

The uploader was using RemoteJoy, a homebrew video out program which, if not properly configured, makes games run slowly. If the uploader had experience with the UMD on a stock PSP, he would've known the game ran slower when he recorded. That or he just didn't care he made every game he demoed look bad. Why he still keeps these old videos up is beyond me. I still prefer the original SNES game, but these old videos from 2008 make this remake look like crap.
I juts beat this game and I like the idea that they added the mega man X movie. the movie was awesome because it tells you what happens before this game.
I actually like this version of the final Sigma Boss fight over the original. Not that the original was bad but this was easier and wasn’t killed by a boring method (Standing on his hand while firing a Arm Part Buster Shot as his head).

When Sigma beat with his saber (second part), I think the Spark Mandrill attack is good.
