- ► This week on the Yippie Cayenne build, the behemoth of a Porsche gets its new Eurowise armor. Taking any vehicle off-road can be a real challenge. Rocks, boulders, and other obstacles are generally everywhere on off-road trails, and even the smallest ones can damage an SUV designed for some off-road use. Although the Cayenne has locking differentials and hydraulically disconnecting sway bars, it isn’t exactly set up to handle those obstacles, so Ben had to make some modifications. With a lift kit, rock sliders, and tube bumpers at the ready, the only thing preventing Mike and Ben from outfitting the Cayenne was reaching the new parts at Eurowise Performance.

Always love videos like these that show the internet(Well sort of since "overlanding" has been picking up within the last 5-10 years) that luxury SUVs aren't just purchased/used for the critical whole foods grocery run. Way to go guys!!! Looking forward to the next video.

Looking good! Maybe one day with my GTS.... Since I typically do road trips (did one from Denver to KY and back, several between Denver and MT) and very occasional track days, I'm not looking for a heavy off road package - but I've still gone some places that were questionable with my stock GTS and street tires or snow tires (washed out trails to Gross Reservoir campgrounds in CO, snowy backroads in MT). Not gotten stuck yet, but I still keep a "come along" winch and snatch block in my gear - just in case... The locking diff, gear reduction, and air suspension all work together to make an incredibly capable car. FYI - I've read that it's good to give the air suspension a workout a few times year - if you leave it in one setting all the time, you may find it's stuck in that setting when you do decide to use it.
Wow track days in your GTS sounds rad, we've gotta see that! With all this additional weight the Cayenne was not super happy when we took it for a rip at the FCP Euro Proving Grounds 😂The car genuinely felt happy on the trails, all its factory systems being put to use at once.
@@fcpeuro Boiled my brakes, which brought HPDE to an early end for me. Gotta replace brake fluid and pads with good racing brake fluid and pads before the next track day. Nothing gets the instructor's attention like saying "whoa!" when entering a curve and the brake pedal goes to the floor!

BT is lossless with a range of 30ft while RF from those things is lossy with a range of like 6ft. Plug the adapter into a trunk outlet, you'll get MUCH better signal being close to the antenna.
I go shooting and fishing in mine all over Europe and Asia. Really strong car....once you upgrade the prop shaft!!
It is a proper all arounder. We hope to take the Yippie Cayenne on some epic Fly Fishing trips this summer!

Thanks AR1, in the Final Episode (7) we plan to put the finished project on the scales to see where things end up for this Cayenne. It gets beefier and beefier!

Not sure final height as it depends on what air suspension mode we are in - but still fits in parking garages even with the tent on!
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! Self wash brush? I know the Cayenne paint ain't worth it, but hot damn, that's cruel.
Joel, we all cringed when Ben did that (notoriously anti car washer), so we HAD to publicly shame him for this crime. Luckily we wash away these sins later in the series.
Can you shoot a Treg or Poersche which Billstein coilover installed? I’m interested in coilovers because of huge difference than lift kits while off roading.
We'll see what we can do! The Yippie Cayenne is still going string and has some new changes for this year hopefully.
Shall I go for a 957 Cayenne S or Turbo, I'm planning to modify it for offroading, I'm really confused for which one should I go for.
You really can't go wrong, the Standard S obviously has less going on and bit less to go wrong without the Turbo system, but if you want the extra punch of a Turbo then there's your answer. We have some in depth videos that go over the pros and cons in our buyer's guide here on the channel!

We have the JBX in ^.^ and youll see the loadout in Episode 7! We shot this way back when last year there was no rear tire swingout at the time!

Awesome project! Just curious, what kind of fuel economy did the Cayenne.get after all the mods?
Andre we still get 14.5mpg on the Highway and only about 8mpg in Town.

To avoid the fuel penalty, I would first let @EVWest convert to electric then investment in overland upgrades. Thank you for sharing what the Cayenne can do. 👍
