I’m in a predicament my factory disc/drum gtx had power brakes and the factory brake lines are on the right side of master cylinder the kits online all have left side ports on master cylinder 🤦🏼‍♂️

Since the dash was already in the car and the brake pedal was there were there any challenges with installing the booster. I'm doing the same with my 70 Challenger and there is not much room under there. I also have a clutch pedal not helping the situation.

It's a royal pain in the ass. No easy way to do it with dash and pedals installed. Wish I could say there was a trick, but nope.

How did you get the plate off to switch it( you skipped over it)? Trying to do a 1967 GTX, seems like I have to take the windshield out then the dash?

Once you pull the master cylinder off, it comes right off..

Do you remember what kit # you used?

No kit. I got the booster from Classic Industies. Master cylinder from Master power brakes.

Why the Bell Crank pedal linkage adapter? What was the reason the new booster doesn't have the same length rod as the original?

Thats they way factory did it. Its exactly the same as the factory one I removed.

@@mikesmopargarage4734 That explains things. The one I pulled out just had a long rod to the brake pedal with no adapter. I found a picture of one like the one I removed in the Service Manual but maybe the one I pulled out was not original but it looked like it was.

Hi, wondering how your brake conversion worked out. I was looking for part two!
