5:26 That's not a weak headphone, neither is a dollar store headphone. That's Koss KSC75, one of the most cherished on-ear clip headphones ever among the audiophile community and certainty sounds better than any of your apple headphones.
If all you care about is sound then those are probably pretty good, but comfort is such a huge part of any headphones. If my headphones aren't comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time then they're not good headphones. Doesn't matter what they sound like if I can't wear them for more than 30 minutes.
3:54 Hi, it's me. The old room was 2x2,5m, old one person bedroom with very cheap desk, and it's just a vinyl cover on the wall that look like tiling. I mean I know theyre great for $20, but no sub bass is no sub bass, the DAC isnt gonna change that. for the price of that DAC they couldve got some nice IEMs and had sub bass in their life again.
@@thomasnuggets9719That's more a restriction on the form factor and less on the specific model -- any open-ear or on-ear headphone will suffer in the sub bass range, you'd need closed-backs with proper isolation for that.
5:14 those are the Koss KSC75s, by far the best bang for buck budget audio device of any kind out there. And you may look ridiculous in them but they are also the most comfortable at any price.
yea thats what confused the hell out of me, $100 DAC and $20 headphones, I know the KSCs are sneaky good for $20 but theres definitely better options for the price of that DAC. And they said no studio monitors but its a double setup, the studio monitors are on the other side pointed in the other direction. How did their studio monitor partner not tell them to get some decent IEMs first? this one broke my brain a little bit.
Yes, the DAC struck me as somewhat pointless unless you really like those cans and you get the DAC for cheap (can sometimes find refurb for $40-50) at which point it can drive those Kosses harder than a regular phone amp can if you’re out and about. Which is absolutely bad for your ears lol, don’t do this
And oh yeah, it looks like they have an entire separate setup behind the desk that wasn’t pictured, I guess for critical listening or recording or something?
@@thomasnuggets9719 Ca vouch, the Fiio runs 20$ Koss as well as 500$ Sennheiser very admirably. I tend to mix up my headphones, and the Koss are in my rotation.

5:25 those headphones are actually very popular in the audiophile world. under 20 bucks but are very accurate with a great frequency response. i prefer the ksc35's or 40s over those ksc75's because they have more bass but the 75's have clearer mids and highs
5:16 Do not diss those Koss KSC75 headphones without trying them. They are actually one of the best sounding behind the ear wear headphones behind the late Sony MDR-G45s. Horizontal mouse movement is way faster and precise, than vertical. Left or right is a personal preference. Every now and then, a smart person at M$ writes an article about about good and bad patterns. They explained why recursive directory links are bad, and how to design UI for less mouse movement. A few years later, we have recursive links. And now the start menu is locked to bottom with grouped buttons. So I started using explorer patcher. Any idea how to fix the customizable Win+X menu?

Evan and Katelyn's desk is going in my "Awesome Ideas" notebook. The extruded aluminum legs of the desk have L-brackets for the wheels. The wheels are retractable! A quick zap on all four corners with an impact wrench lowers the wheels, due to the excess thread. Push it to where you need it. 17:51 holy f**king shit i have this exact chair. I had it for 3 years, the "lumbar support" is a mesh stretched around a metal hoop that is stapled to two little wooden blocks, there's no cushion underneath so when the staples inevitably rip through the mesh you end up with no arch support, a wooden block jabbing you in the back till you decide to knock it off with a hammer, and eventually if you don't buy a new chair because you cant afford it you end up with scoliosis trying to find a comfortable position. (i was also a trucker for 8 years, im sure that was the majority cause of that, but still my lumbar support ripped out the first week i had it. I ordered it online in 2020 because that was the only way you could get anything in Indianapolis and ive hated it ever since.) I miss proper office chairs. Also the "headphone holder" only holds smallish sized headphones. If your phones are not slim they wont fit. Oh they'll go into the loop but trying to get them out requires two hands and cant be done from the seated position so its completely useless.
5:15, ah the koss ksc75. amazing sounding headphones for the price despite how they look. you guys should definitely look into the audiophile / iem space. especially with the kimura mics out, people could have amazing sounding earphones / headphones with solid mics for not a whole lot of money.
That's unfortunate. My only glow up since the the first time you guys roasted PC setups is that I basically refurbished and maximized my current hardware. within the span of October 2022 and April 2023: I replaced the SSD with a better one I had separately, new battery from the UK, replacing the GPU stock pad with Gelid ones, upgrading from 4GB to 8GB RAM, and Linux Mint ended up needing that extra RAM due to mixed usage of Minecraft and internet browsing. I can eat about 6GB in the worst case scenerio. Better than before but I still suffer bad GPU temps. I think I should cut a small hole in the bottom and attach some kind of dust filter. Ah, M3*3 nylon screws and nuts should do it, though I should probably install the screws and dust filter outside the case.

The kitchen is actually on the opposite side of the house, also it was 2014, and I had no taste at all. Guess I got some now
Edit: Some people thinks that's Windows Vista on the old laptop. It's not. It's 7
You've definitely got some fine taste now. Plouffe even likes your keyboard.
It's funny to see Evan and Katelyn 11:40 especially when they streamed from the small setup. Great channel.
5:29 these headphones are actually amazing
@5:11 Laugh it up but that’s the venerable KSC-75, they’re classics at this point. Also that was a pretty decent FiiO BTR3K next to it
yea thats what confused the hell out of me, $100 DAC and $20 headphones, I know the KSCs are sneaky good for $20 but theres definitely better options for the price of that DAC.
I wanted bluetooth but also needed low latency and my brother (enjoyer of the speakers on the other side) told me to get something that supported aptx low latency and it works pretty well. @@bilditup1
Yay Evan and Katelyn! ♥ Very wholesome youtubers, I love watching them. Fun to see them make it into a video.
Absolutely. Definitely NOT "that sort of channel".... :) :)
as an evan & katelyn watcher, it's so fun to see them actually submitting for this! for some context, the before and after are at different houses and they built the desk themselves with ikea butcherblock and resin (it's actually one of their first videos i saw) :)
I think the reason that the person at 21:45 has 2 gpu's is that they needed more outputs for all their monitors. There are cables out of both! A gpu doesn't normally support more than 5 monitors at once and this man has 7
I didn't expect much from this video, but it was actually very entertaining
5:16 Don't sleep on the Koss KSC75's. Those are some of the best low-budget audiophile-aproved headphones you can buy.
"They've grown up, but they're the same person" hit hard. I think you're cool Bocchi bro
Fun fact, those headphones that the cardboard guy had are pretty sweet, they're made by koss and for the money they are top tier, not the best koss has to offer but still pretty good.
I love how Linus calls the slimmest version of the PS3 a PS3 fat 6:07
5:15 those are actually really good quality audio earphones they are the Koss KSC75. Only downside is the weak cable
17:42 that figure probably was just a ramen topper (yes, they make figures that go on top of cup ramen to hold the top lmao) that they probably just put on there cause "why not" lmao
True
5:25 those headphones are actually very popular in the audiophile world. under 20 bucks but are very accurate with a great frequency response. i prefer the ksc35's or 40s over those ksc75's because they have more bass but the 75's have clearer mids and highs
5:16 Do not diss those Koss KSC75 headphones without trying them. They are actually one of the best sounding behind the ear wear headphones behind the late Sony MDR-G45s.
You claim you want labs to test a wide range of products? Test those, because even Etika, may his soul live immortal among the stars playing SmashBros, rocked the Bad Boys!
Honestly my favorite ones were the ones where the setups reflected the owners at the time and you could see how both the setups and they aged and matured with time. And the one where it went from one setup to two, showing the life that the two people have built together, it’s honestly kinda sweet.
5:20 I mean, the KSC75s are absurdly good for their price, there's a reason the Oculus Rift devkits used the same drivers
Thank you for the love! 21:21 also I have ordered you a sign, it will be shipped out soon! I wanted to clear somethings up LTT I'm not mining I just have 7 monitors on the main PC - the other PC is only a camera host, it handles the 15 soon to be 18 cameras in the room! All the parts in the room are for the pc builds I do for Veterans. My content is 100% always for charity....
The one with the Mr Bean? That was funny and your setup was pretty cool lookin'
Every time i see the intro I get so excided! Especially on a new vid! love your content, keep if up!
You have always brought a smile to my face when I felt down. (sorry for the English, it's not my first languge)
- It might be the same desk, just reconfigured.
- That's what the axe was for! 🤣
5:27 There is no way you're going to call the legendary KSC75 "dollar store"
I like these types of videos - not very often, but often enough that you remember the last time they did one.
Always enjoyable to see other people’s setups with a bit of light roasting from the hosts.
The first big anime wall setup at 3:09 went from good to worse, because it went from anime in general to Genshin.
Also it's really fun to date the general age of that photo, since there's like Re:zero (2016), LLENN from SAO:AGGO (2017), Zombieland Saga (2018), Kobayashi's maid dragon (2017), Blend S (2017), and so on.
tbf, there's also some Arknights at the top left with SkAlter. That aside, I hope the physical media collection grew to just require a different area, cause having that much physical manga looks aesthetically pleasing.
I prefer the before 😬
i noticed that Ai poster 👀
Hey as a fan of Evan and Katelyn, Their space has come a long way. The make amazing content and totally love their vibes. I know they at least have 3 channels, one that includes a gaming channel. You guys would approve. Also James saying about the primitive technology video about the concrete case was funny.
This is the 2nd time they've trashed the KSC75's. I think the first one was in the video they did touring the LTX Lan. Cmooonn they're actually really good for the money and fun to mod !! :--(
At 5:19 in the video, you guys call the headphones on the table weak.
I urge you guys to get a pair yourself, they are "Koss KSC75" they look cheap and ugly, but they outperform many headphones 10 times their price.
They honestly have amazing soundstage, and good bass response. I used a pair as a DIY headphone for my Rift S, and they sound amazing.
Please test them out, you'll be surprised how good they sound.
Don't let the look fool you😉
5:15 heyyyyyy don't you EVER disrespect the Koss KSC75s. They're the best headphones. Literally, you could buy one, drop it in the river, not even care much, get new ones without breaking the bank, and have GREAT audio.
right hand start is actually the best. i will not tolerate the slander. its actually out of the way when it auto hides and its easy to get when u want it.

5:17 those are actually damn good headphones. Whenever i want open backs, they are what i use, affordable AF as well.
Evan and Katelyn made the table for their glowup. They are awesome with resin projects.
10:49 installing your monitor somewhere completely disconnected from your desk is actually quite a decent idea, since the absolute majority of commercial desks will shake significantly from your mouse movement and body contact. I fixed this by mounting my monitor to a concrete wall via an arm, but only because my home didn't have window ledges like that, the setup looks very cool!
The Koss headset that AxeMan is using is one of the best sounding small headsets available. They are old but if you are looking for something on ear with a cable, you can do significantly worse for a lot more cash
7:22 Time to start selling desks Linus
5:16 they really just shat on the KSC75s, the greatest set of cans to ever exist.
17:28 that Albedo figurine is fire though. And they're a Nino Nakano fan? Nah, Miku is best girl.
24:50 EYYYY CHISATO AND TAKINA FIGURINES LETS GOO. And amazing Bocchi art.
Miku? I can say that you have no taste 😘
Would love to see you and a sponsor do something like a mix between this and extreme tech upgrade, like the MSI Amazing Glow Ups where people send you pics and specs of parts of their tech setup (pc, consoles, what ever tech related thing they think would work), they give you either a goal or what they do or their even their contact info so that you could discuss with them, and you send them stuff and send someone over to set it up or something like that. Sooo nice to have the intro back on this one. I was missing it.
Those Koss headphones at 5:16 were actually wicked good quality for the price in their hayday, no joke. They were also unbeatable in their ability to stay on your ears while exercising, far better than anything I've been able to find these days. You guys should do a roundup of old headphones like these, I bet you'll find some diamonds in the dust!
Those are still great, not just in their hayday. I got mine just a few months ago, they are still very much being made and sought after.
@dragons_advocate No way! I'm gonna pick up a pair for Xmas lol! If you would be so kind, could you post the model number? My memory fails me.
@@drkalamity4518 KSC75. KPH30i and Porta Pro are also worth taking a look at

holy hell I got in. I’ll fix the cable management someday I promise
Those headphones (Koss KSC75) at 5:17, while not the fanciest (or imo the most comfortable, but I'm biased against anything not completely over-ear), sound extremely good for the price. They go for literally $15-$20. They are some of the highest recommended entry-level "audiophile" budget headphones.
Incidentally, all other entries in the list of entry-level "audiophile" budget headphones in the same price range are all from Koss, too.
the headphones at 5:23 are actually the Koss KSC75's (or a similar model). They're $20 and were a great bang-for-your-buck deal for a long time until IEM's like moondrop chu's became really cheap.
They're still great if you (like me) can't stand in-ears (but also dont want to plonk giant over-ears on your head)
I'm all for right side start menu.
Both the X to close the page, and the windows button is right next to each other and the clock stays where it always is.
Also nice to have like 3 extra lines of reading space.
At last a smart person who knows what's productive! 👍🏻 I first moved to top, because most content and controls are there. At some point I switched to left side, because now I have more vertical space. It's also easier to read a column and hit a button on the side edge, than top or bottom.
@@GeorgeValkov use open shell menu. Basically brings back the menu from win 7 or older.
@@CreamAle Thanks, I'll give it a try. All I need is a custom WinX menu.
You know that there is a windows button on your keyboard?
@@Jehty_ and moving your hand over is still less efficient than the 2mm move added to the mouse movement you're already making.
On top of the fact that I don't have a keyboard next to the drums when I'm recording but I do have a mouse as that doesn't get in the way unlike a keyboard.
woah when did you guys start using the intro again? it's so nice to see it again :D
Zap it with your impact again and the wheels retract letting the frame rest on the floor. Super impressed! I'm sure if I look more I'll find other cool stuff!

19:06 no way the microwave displays temps
17:51 the one right before this one was hilarious
As a Steins;Gate fan, the microwave PC attracts my attention
I ordered it online in 2020 because that was the only way you could get anything in Indianapolis and ive hated it ever since.)
I miss proper office chairs.
It brings me joy to see someone else using a right hand start menu.
The Couple Setup looks like a nightmare. So close together! Did that with my future wife for a while and it was tough.
5:20 I mean, they're pretty cheap but have decent audio quality, and they don't go over your head. I get why someone would want to get these.
Glad to see the intro back. Been missing it in the last few vidoes...
