Very interesting information about the Mexican Mint and the very cool Libertads StS, nice pick ups at $35US each, currently $45US each here in Aus, love the older full frontal versions, I do like Libertads but not the premium price here in Aus, love your interest in the early Datsun cars the 510 was known as the Datsun1600 here and was extremely popular back in the day when I started to drive, closely followed by the Datsun 180B, then the 200B and so on, the early Datsuns were known for their reliability, my first car was a 1971 4 door 4 on the floor orange Mazda Capella 1600 SOHC with square headlights, I loved that car and often wish I still had it, interestingly I visited my niece and her husband 2 days ago and he showed me his pride and joy, he has just finished restoring a 4 door Datsun 240K, he is skilled enough to do all the mechanical work and painting himself, he tells me these models are as scarce as hens teeth now as most have been shipped to Arab States. I wasn't bored at all. That sounds like a cool little car. I'm sure your first car was cool too. I guess we all love our first cars. It's hard to find old datsuns or parts anymore. I remember how cheap and plentiful the parts were. Maybe one day I'll find a 510. Thanks for the great comment.

Great video! Love hearing about Libertads from someone who likes them as much as me. I've been tempted a couple times with buying a Roll of 1982's. It was either that or food for the month, girlfriend liked food so...😊 Had an old Datsun 240Z for awhile, most fun I've had driving! Thanks for the video!

It's the better one for sure. I normally prefer a reeded edge , but the writing on the edge really makes it even more awesome!

Congrats on the deal on the Libertads! It was a good buy. I was able to pick up one of the Type 1 and Type 2 for around $30 plus tax recently. They rarely have them there. I also just picked up a suprise Libertad. Hopefully I can show a video next week.
