Very good question. I own a Detective, too. I'm sure you noticed the lower is exactly the same one you'd find in a full size Hi-Power - but, obviously, this doesn't apply to the slide lenght, where I believe this new rod works. Moreover, I *love* my Detective, specially because after installing an SFS kit, and removing the mag safety, the trigger became of 1911 quality. (Note: No other gunsmithing job was performed, so could've been sheer randomness) So YES!, I'd love to have an answer to this question as well - haha! Oh dear, if only I had them at hand, I swear I'd pull my calipers and give you an approximate answer right away! May you have a great day ma'am!
You should make a slo mo video showing the recoil with and without this. Would make some of see that it really makes a difference.
My H&K USP40 uses a similar system. It freaking works.
Hi, I have purchased quite a number of your products and I am happy with them. Are you going to manufacture replacement standard guide rods? Thanks.
Mark does this Recoil Buffering Guide Rod allow safe firing of +P or +P+ ammunition in my FN Hi Power?
How does this compare to the FM Dual spring for the Detective? Does this fit in the Detective?
