    Your videos are very helpful! As a few others have pointed out, the eclip and associated pin do not need to be removed in order to adjust the linkage bar. But I did not discover this until after the fact, and as you know that eclip is challenging to put back in without losing it! If it would be possible to lay over some text in that section of the video that mentions how the eclip and pin can stay put and that the nut can be loosened to adjust the length of the linkage, it would save many people from going the treacherous route of removing and reinstalling the eclip...

    Another just waiting for the next video. About to put a bigger plenom on the gun. I have found so far the gun tuned up to about 2600 on the reg shoots the jsb 25.39 jumbo monsters. Shoots great. Just did a bottle upgrade with a regulator for 4500 fills. Now I’m just looking to dial it in more with a bigger plenum

  • @jimdshea
    @jimdshea 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    My Zelos has a small leak, will lose about 1,000psi over 24 hours. The bottle itself is fine (doesn't lose air when removed).
    Hope you do something on replacing orings etc one day, there certainly isn't anything helpful in the manual :(

      Mine did the same thing. The fix for me was replacing the seals between the plenum and the barrel on the poppet valve body. I forgot I even did that till I read this comment. I'll write that down as a video idea, but not sure when I would get to it.

    • @InspirePrecision

      no, you can clean with a rod from the muzzle end or use a pull through solution. The magazine space is just big enough to pull through. Cleaning is easier if you remove the barrel shroud, but that is somple to do.

    Great video, but the trigger pull adjustment does not require the E-clip to be removed. Just loosen the nut and turn the threaded shaft as desired. Some discussion of techniques for removing jammed pellets from the barrel would also be useful. When there's a jam, the magazine can't be removed and the only way to access the jam is by sliding the barrel foreward.

    • @InspirePrecision
      @InspirePrecision  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, On that adjustment, another commenter pointed that out to me early on. I'd have to think about jams, I haven't had one yet.

      @@InspirePrecision When adjusting trigger pull weight and trigger travel, it's easy to get into a situation where a pellet will load, but the sear won't reset and the rifle won't fire. Since the magazine can't be removed in this situation, the only way I've found to remove the loaded pellet is to slide the barrel foreward. If there's another way, I'd like to know about it.

    I don't suggest removing the air tube to release the pressure, use these degas screw. The reason is when you screw the tube back on it can damage the sealing o-ring as it did mine. LOL Now need to figure out the size.

    • @InspirePrecision
      @InspirePrecision  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There will always be a risk of prematurely wearing or damaging the O-rings on a tank or tank fitting with constant removal. However, removing the tank with at least 500 psi is referenced directly multiple times in the manual and is the accepted practice to degas the rifle unless you will not be removing the tank. If you never remove the tank there will be no chance to damage the seals. Tank removal is certainly not required to adjust the regulator. If you do choose to use the degas screw when the tank is still attached, be aware that you will be emptying the entire tank, not just the plenum. Most people would prefer to keep as much air in the tank as possible to reduce future pumping time. This is less of an issue with "set and forget" regulator tuning, but can become tiresome for someone who will be tuning the regulator down multiple times.

    Hello, you have some inspirational content. I received a 25 Zelos last evening, began Wheeler 220grit polishing, and TRYING to make a SLUG GUN. My channel, albeit long while since i even made video, its about DIY Castig, Sizing, and demos of mostly NOE bullet Molds. When i tried, after 100 patches 220grit last night, is that 10 squibs, in 0.251 sized to .248 and even the .249 (Both NOE RF/Dish/HP RG4s) was i have to take anything which my other 25 cals will push over 90FPE to 104FPE on FX radar, is that i have to bench-Lee size press to 0.248. I did your HS access Drill out, and turned it 1.25 CW, then i ran NOT my own casts, but PrePandemic 25 HN Baracuda Hunter Extremes. I was, with Reg set at 2.15KPSI, and HS 1.25CW, a high average around 50FPE on radar. INext is that i will probably remove barrel, and OPEN UP the initial breach, firstly with 220grit, then i will probably use Tapered Reamer at breach end, to give the PSI a chance to MOVE my over 35 types of 25cal slugs, cast, trhough, as like many other UMAREX, the bore/grooves begin too quickly. THANKFULLY they sent me replacement SL30, rather than 1st gen G2 30 BOLT, that rifle was a JOKE for slug shooting. What are your best results, on the REG, and with HS, for projectiles in 40gr to 50gr? I have been running .252 cal Driverings through three of my other 25 PCPs... but i also spent HOURS per barrel, TAP TAP TAP polishing to MAKE them 252. Thanks for making such a nice video. You are good at your explanations. Thanks... Caster, Modder, and Slug Slinger.

      @InspirePrecision  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      lots to unpack in your comment. I have not tested any heavy weight slugs over 38gr in the Zelos. My experience it prefers the lighter 25-33gr NSA (and the like) moving at higher velocities. I only have experience with 30 cal NOE slug moulds. Very interesting your details on polishing the bore and opening up the throat.

    Nice job. Thanks for the invite information. Exactly how far from the small hole in the stock did you drill the 3/8 hole?

    • @InspirePrecision
      @InspirePrecision  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The hole would be approximately 5/8" down from the horizontal "top" line of the stock, however it might be best just to remove the material from that cavity as it is hard to drill through that rib molded into the stock.

    Can I adjust the regulator and hammer without taking the air tank off.on my zelos

    • @InspirePrecision
      @InspirePrecision  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, you can always adjust the regulator up or to higher pessures while the tank is full. If you need to bring it back down you will have to remove the tank. The hammer may be adjusted up or down anytime while the trigger sear is not engaged/cocked.

      @@InspirePrecision Yea, that's how it normally works. That's why I was surprised when Nate advised you couldn't adjust either way under pressure. I actually asked how you would know the pressure. He responded that you just guess. It didn't sound reasonable.

      The Zelos is currently my favorite sub $1000 rifle, it has long market history as the snowpeak m60 and just works well. Mine in 25 cal is a laser beam at 70 yards. Take a look at my other Zelos video where I installed the bottle adapter and increased the shot count. There is the Avenge-x from Air Venturi and the MA2 from Macavity Arms, but I don't own either and can't give a recommendation.

    • @InspirePrecision
      @InspirePrecision  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @goldentrucker7921 generally speaking you will have to degas the rifle. With the zelos, you can remove the tank so you don't lose all the air. Then degas the rifle. Tighten the reg screw just till snug. Reinstall the tank (make sure tank is full if not already) and slowly loosen/unscrew the reg to your desired pressure.

    • @InspirePrecision
      @InspirePrecision  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can buy any bottle from 700cc on down for the Zelos and it will fit and be shorter than the barrel, however, the only source I know of for the M60b bottle adapter is airgunarcheryfun.ca and they are out of stock. Same goes for a moderator, the same place that sells the rifle should also have them in stock for the specific caliber. I don't currently have one place I prefer over another.

      My experience with this one has been great. I have been impressed at every level. It is an m60 with a few design changes that favor the US market, but that is only a plus in my mind as Umarex was able to draw upon years of consumer data that proves the design. I don't own any JTS rifles so I can't make a direct comparison, but certainly worth it in my mind.
