I bought one new in 2007 have over 40000 miles on it and it runs great. It is a perfect motorcycle for me .I'm 5ft 9 in and weigh 185. The bike fits like a glove. Kawasaki let's the good times roll
Wow, 40k miles is a lot of good ol’ riding. And it still holding up well? That’s awesome! I’m trying to get one myself. Looking at a 2009 right now. I’m 5’-7”. It will fit nicely I think.
Thanks, great video. It really helps me to decide for this motorcycle. I bought it this summer. I am very satisfied by my choose. Riding on EN 500 is truly pleasant. Advantage is low weight of this motorcycle for manipulation in garage. My height is 187 cm, so I moved footrests about 3 cm diagonal in forward down direction. Ride is much more comfortable for me.
Thanks for the video. good information. easy talk and language for english as second language as me. I bought one, second hand, and I agree with you in all the very well describe features.
Good video. I've had a few motorcycles and never have had complaints with kawasakis. I currently have 2002 VN750 with over 40k miles pretty carefree, although I am able to do much of my own maintenance.
I enjoyed your video sir, i have rode street/sportbikes for the past 31yrs & recently came across an 05 vulcan 500 that i thought would be a good around town/ride to work rig, you answered my questions, looks like im going to buy it 👍
S R Universal Vista Motorcycle Cruise Control. Fits most Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki... with 7/8 inch handlebars. Takes some special care getting use to... safety first! Thanks, and safe riding.
It is in storage until it gets a bit warmer. I will check on the windshield then. I like using a windshield. I am 6' tall. I am use to a bigger cruiser and had more stretching room. I do like this motorcycle, it is fun to drive. Happy safe riding.
I had to custom the seat so that i can stretch my leg. i keep it cos it's my dream bike n i enjoy riding it. in general i dun drive fast so i am not after speed i am after living the dream. Thanks for the response, and look forward to your next comment
Small windshield, ~23 inches high. Most are adjustable. I like a windshield/windscreen, bugs, birds, stones... ect. I ride in the country and helps with various flying things... Ha.
I think these bikes got overlooked because they're not V-twins. I believe that they probably get better performance than the V-twins around the same displacement. Most cruiser riders want the look & the sound of the V's though.
Here are the ones I bought from Amazon.com. I hard mounted mine. www.amazon.com/dp/B00GOQFL0I/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B00GOQFL0I&pd_rd_wg=sJORU&pd_rd_r=NXP6EPVT6P1293F9SGAV&pd_rd_w=QX1M3
A short ride on a 1986 VT 700 might change your mind. If Honda ever made a perfectly geared transmission, that was it. Watching reviews and other videos, it seems like almost everybody is reaching for another gear at highway speeds.
55 mpg is piss poor - my VX800 was doing that in 1990. NC700x - easily does 75mpg. Royal Enfield 500cc - designed in 1950 - will do 90mpg. My car - Kia Niro - does 55 mpg all the time

I have the exact same bike. Got in in '14 for $2950, only 4K on it. Love it.

I myself am thinking of buying this bike later, anything I should know about it from an owner?

Thanks for the info!
Great video. Looking at picking one up this week as a first bike since 250cc is too small for my 250lbs weight.
Lots to choose from. A midsize bike is nice, just be super super defensive. God Bless, have a safe ride.
Very nice video, thanks for sharing! SAafe riding! :)
Good video

I wonder how this compares to the old KZ 440 LTD, in the 80’s. I had a 1975 KZ400 and an 1980 KZ440 Ltd that I rode-multi state when I was younger.
Excelente!!!
Good job , thanks.
Actually this is a 50hp bike, you can easily cruise at 70 mph from gas station to gas station, from Alaska to Florida.
I don't think I've had more informative 5 minutes 14 seconds in my 31 years.
Great vid thx
Nice video 👍
Hi, i've the same bike and i love it. What kind of throttle lock do you use. can u share link or a name. Thanks

When stopping at low speed you ALWAYS use the rear brake only. Low speed is up 20 km/t. Never use front brake at those speed.
Good, very smart.
What measures do the saddlebags have?
Here are the ones I bought from Amazon.com. I hard mounted mine.
www.amazon.com/dp/B00GOQFL0I/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B00GOQFL0I&pd_rd_wg=sJORU&pd_rd_r=NXP6EPVT6P1293F9SGAV&pd_rd_w=QX1M3
Motorcycle Saddlebag Dimensions: 16" Long x 11" Tall x 6.5" Wide. You need the mounting bracket kit to hard mount. The back pack is great storage too.
4 spd ,, 5 spd and the 6 spd final drives are all similar or the same.. my shadow 600 4spd does highways fine.
I agree, the 6 speed is only a nice overdrive.

@@davids6533 yeah i have no idea why the 80s shadows are so much better than the later models
Mecanico.....oscar.raicing
Im 6ft 3inch.. Would it be okay for me?

Cool story

Amazon, Nomad Saddle Bags. I don't think they have or sell the ones I bought. (2016)
