What's with the background music, it's like a serial killer fondly remembering his first murder

Agree! It is too loud and detracts from the speak. So worth a downvote! Så ka han måske lære det.

@@illel-zorro9527 What the fuck are you talking about? Carl Barks has always been held above all other Donald Duck-artists in Finland, where DD (Aku Ankka, jos olet psykoosisi sivupersoonana edes suomalainen) is even today the most popular and most widely circulated comic book in the whole country.

Carl “The Duck Man” Barks was an Oregonian that created a good portion of comics and Disney. Especially the Donald Duck Comics that Donald Duck and all other duck characters originated from. They are Oregon Ducks in California and Florida and the rest of the world.

An interesting choice of music, using the soundtrack from Citizen Kane here.

Yes, probably because Don Rosa's "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, Chapter Twelve" contains references to Citizen Kane. I read that when Carl Barks first pictured Scrooge McDuck in "Christmas on Bear Mountain", the mansion and other parts already were a nod to Orson Welles' movie as well.

Yeah there's a reference to the 'Rosebud' snow globe when Scrooge recalls 'Goldie...'

Don rosa is also a great Artist and hes " life and time of scrooge mcduck" is such a Masterpiece but it doesn't mean he wants to take over the credit on barks making the duck verse. Don rosa is just another fan of barks duck comic and as its fan, he did hes best not to put some shame in duck comics so its not right putting some blame to him that even don himself admit that it he doesn't have any bad intention taking the credit over duck comic, he actually made it more popular with hes " life and time of scrooge McDuck" so there nothing to criticize with over the 2 artist.

Carl Barks laid the foundation upon which Don Rosa made the most wonderful character exploration and development pieces.

@Koipo-z2x and that's the reason why both artist is been acknowledged . Don is soo passionate in creating the life and time of scrooge mcduck the reason no one ever followed to this 2 even till now as a popular artist cause Don and Carl barks raised the bar high when it comes on duck comics story. There's alot of artist that made a duck story after Don rosa but no 1 is been recognized and got popular

Barks' managers were talking shit about Rosa in the media and implying that they were speaking on behalf of Barks himself.

Carl Barks was being exploited and abused by people he hired to manage his work and they were trying to create animosity between him and Don Rosa by speaking on his behalf and saying awful things about Rosa.

I don’t think so, I think it’s quite sweet. Imo his work is as good as it is because he’s a giant fanboy

Are you joking? They both have their strengths. It’s like steak and butter or salt and pepper: great on their own, fantastic together.
