So sad :( When i was younger and basically couldn't read, I still loved Don Rosa stories for his drawings. Still, he can, still write brilliant stories and keep tabs on that wonderful universe of his, which i still LOVE even twenty years later.
so sad he can't draw annymore. Donal Duck is the onley literature i like reading. and Don rosa and carl barks are my favorite writers/drawers. carl is dead and don is almost blind in his left eye. etleast he is still alive
Hi everybody. I newer knew who Carl Barks was, cause i didnt grew up with him, i just read his stories. Today I watch some animes (and even mangas, im actually i little embarrassed over it). But even though anime is nice, even though there are some Donald drawers out there that dosent make good stories. Then guys like Carl Barks and especially Don Rosa makes me praise Donald Duck higher than any anime will ever make me.
yes but have you ever tried drawing or writing with one eye closed. itgets really har because you cant mesure the distance between the pen and the paper with onley one eye. so you never know when the pen is about to touch the paper
btw last year they started using a special kind of eyedrop to cure cataracts. if anyone is having surgery youre better off rying the eyedrops because their success rate is higher
christopher gundersen: where there's a will there's a way. i've always had pretty terrible depth perception, and mostly draw with one eye closed. it's not hard at all if you draw with your wrist on the paper, instead of holding the pen up in the air. and you also get a lot more control since it's your finger muscles doing the movement of the pen, instead of the arm. the main reason Rosa doesn't draw for Disney is a bunch of powercrazy shitheads, who pay crappy salaries to their artists.
@wreyoG I am not exactly sure what you are talking about. But please keep the sarcasm to yourself. Miracles are not created by God or any higher so called power. But science. With science, nothing is impossible. Maybe not tomorrow, maybe not even in our lifetime. But someday there might be a way to fix Don's eye problems.
This is heartbreaking. My best childhood memories are reading Don's $crooge comics.

Wow Nosso Don é sempre um exemplo de superação! \o/
Wow. i have always thought that Don Rosa made the best Scrooge stories and artwork.
This just makes it even better.
This makes me so sad, it's as if my grandpa got sick. I wish there was some way for him to get better.

Sad violin
Sad violin through the whole video and for the rest of time time Don Rosa is with us
He deserves that
I shot this video last June at Heroescon in Charlotte, NC.
*I have almost the same, my right Eye is ok and with my left Eye i see blurred, it's started 6-7 Years ago, exact after I quit smoking ;(*
Oh wow, this is so sad! :(
Seeing like that it must be hell! Just walking around must make him feel nauseous. :(
Heil Don Rosa. The greatest donald duck drawer ever to exist!

I am so sad that Don Rosa can never draw an other of Scrooge's adventures, but i will always remember him as the greatest drawer that has ever eksist.

Dejawolfs Egmont publishes the comics, not Disney
