Tips and Tricks: Minifigure Repair

Are you or another beloved minifigure beginning to show signs of age? Hair falling off? Arthritis in the writs and other joints? Introducing the most amazing solution ever! Sticky tac!
But seriously, in this video, I show how to make some simple fixes to repair minifigures that are showing signs of wear.

My biggest problem is cracks. I have a collection of over 200 Ninjago minifigures, I’m extremely gentle with them, but over half of them have some sort of crack or fracture that just randomly appeared. They’re mostly just on display, which makes it very irritating every time I find a new fracture since I didn’t even _do_ anything. Most of them were bought either directly from Lego or in mint condition, and most of them I’ve only had for a year.
Most fractures are on the backs of the feet, a good few have fractures in their sides, and two have GIANT side cracks. I never pull the legs apart, never pull the arms out, nothing. I’m at a total loss.
I love doing stop-motion, but now I’m too scared to do any more since I don’t want to cause any more damage. I don’t want the fractures to grow into cracks, I don’t want new cracks to form, I just wish they’d stay in good condition, for the love of cheese.

lmao same i just got my superman minifigure and then i had put the head gently and carefully as well and then some other day i noticed a crack in the neck part of the head as if i put the head wrong or forcefully? idk that bothers me even if its small or something..

@@aannjjoouu Oof, yeah, that sounds annoying. Head cracks aren’t as common as other pieces cracking, from what I’ve seen, I only have one cracked head, a Garmadon head that has a split going from the base all the way up to the forehead… it’s really bothersome.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter how gentle you are, they just crack. :’)

Simple Solution when buying a new set: don't play or do anything to the minifigures

I wouldn't consider putting sticky tack repairing minifigures. It's a temporary fix at most
For loose legs (when they just don't hold onto the body) I use pliers and "squish" the legs top studs thingies to give them a thicker shape that will hold onto the torsos. I do a similar thing for hair pieces and helmets, I twist the circular thingy inside the helmet towards the center to create enough friction for it to stay on minifigure heads.

Maybe wrap blu tack around the neck where you insert the head. Just put it at the bottom and try not to put loads on.

Dude same here. Since I have two minifigs that are the same I only needed one. So all I have to do is took on torsos off that minifig and replace it with my broken one. That’s way I don’t have to keep buying. And no I don’t have to worry about my minifig with a broken torsos I have an extra one that is the same

The main problem I have with cracked torsos is that they don't hold the legs together with the torso. Adding this sticky tac doesn't mend the crack but it helps mitigate the issue of the legs falling off.
