Bandit unknown should definitely be a series. İt's not only surprising for us but it's also a very good training for you to think fast and find a quick solution to how to neutralize your enemy.
@@ilejovcevski79 I know it's a different Dev, but the Viper is criminally underperforming according to many USAF pilots. Let's hope both of these issues are addressed sometime soon!
@@ilejovcevski79 G-onset was one of the main gripes I've been told, as well. Also heard energy retention in the vertical is a little off, apparently the Viper is modeled a little 'heavy' in that regard.

However, when I left, we were flying the F4J and F4S Phantom. Also, I know a guy personally who belly landed a Mig-21 and lived to tell the tale! I’m really liking this content of X on X. In a real engagement, you will know what the enemy has in the fleet, but what they send up is unknown until you can get sensors on.
Just love all of these videos. DONT change the sound track I love the close up replays. This is the best channel for fighting skills thanks for your efforts.
I barely play anymore but 100% agree. GS does an amazing job talking through what’s happening and WHY. The context and explanation with the amazing graphics is so interesting.
Gs, very, very nice! We used to time ourselves to less than 90 seconds for a kill when offensive or to survive longer than 90 seconds if we were in the inferior airframe or defensive. You may want to try to implement something along those lines for realism. Maybe the unknown bogey (+unknown weapon) could be a series...? You do outstanding work! Thanks for all your "tapes"!
@@KJ-kn8pg The Tomcat is bigger. Not by much, bit it's also heavier and has more complexity to it. The Flanker also has greater TTW ratio giving it better acceleration after a sharp drop in speed/tight maneuver
Bandit unknown is really interesting, and I would love to see a 2v2 with 2-4 different airframes. Could you do some new videos on the Phoenix and how to fight from a full loadout to a potential merge? I think it would be interesting to see how we go into battle with full fuel and weapons and then are forced to deal with a potentially complex situation where the end result isn’t guaranteed. I know it makes for more difficult videos and if it’s not what you like to make then it’s probably a bad idea, but it’s probably more realistic in terms of what we face on full scale war servers.
If I’ve learned one thing from watching this channel, it’s to never do a turn reversal in front of a bandit, unless you’re 100% sure that you can pull it off and get behind him.
Bandit unknown should definitely be a series. It's not only surprising for us but it's also a very good training for you to think fast and find a quick solution to how to neutralize your enemy.

I am late to Bandit Unknown, but after both watching this fight and reading the comments, the idea of this being a way to up the ante and add some unpredictability is such a good thing to have.. imma catch up on this series!
I am wondering if you had entered the merge (in the third round) at or closer to Max Corner if you would have been better able to set the tone of the engagement. I have a feeling that, having lost the first round in the J-15, once he saw your wings in full sweep he adjusted his game plan accordingly. I am also wondering if you had switched to manual, dropped flaps and squatted the jet over the top, maybe you could have forced a two circle and relied on the engines to get you back up to corner and beat him around the circle ... I was both happy and sad to see you win, and lose, in that VF-143 jet... Thanks again for another great video!

Seems like in the F14 it’s so powerful, especially with the splitting of the throttles and wings out, you can out maneuver, keep it two circle, and go vertical whenever you need to. Not to mention it’s the coolest looking plane ever made.
I would absolutely love to see a MiG-23 by heatblur in this game. Would be an excellent variable-geometry plane representing the bloc, and a great dogfight between the tomcat and the flogger
GS, I'm curious about something specific in the third fight: At 12:15, after the Flanker had taken his gunshot and no longer had his nose pointed at you, I thought you might continue rate-fighting the Flanker by maintaining the left-hand turn. Yet in actuality I saw you respond by reversing your turn direction to try going into a one-circle fight, which you had earlier commented was not the Tomcat's nor your strongpoint against the likes of a Flanker. My question is, in hindsight(and assuming you hadn't lost an engine seconds later), do you think you would have stood a better chance of reversing that fight in your favor if you had stayed in the rate fight at that specific moment?
I think GS was too slow to have any chance of success in the 2 circle, the flanker would have regained enough energy to thoroughly screw GS in the 2 circle with it better low speed performance. By going into the 1 circle gs had the opportunity to try and control the fight and have it neutralised giving him another chance to get into the 2 circle with more speed later on giving him better odds of winning
Been doing a lot of 1v1 dogfights with a buddy of mine, and in any case the SU-27 always gave him the hardest time in the tomcat, the F-18 comes close too, but that is rather my style of dogfighting and experience in the F-18
