Obviously CPA exam has been a pain in my ass that won't bother me any longer I have gotten my license already thanks to you Mr Dylan God bless you more cuz you made it possible for me
Great job passing the CPA exam in less than 7 months while working full time! Love all your tips! Also, it must be challenging when you got married just 3 months after the graduation. Wish you all the best in life! I know you will do great where you go.
Thanks for the honesty! I identify so much with your story and it’s very motivating hearing from someone who doesn’t make it sound like you need to be perfect from college and it’s all easy! I will just keep trying! 🙏🏻

Bledsoe Consulting Services I’m retaking FAR after not earning a passing score. Like you, I have been away from undergrad and grad school for that matter for quite sometime so I’m “studying” by watching lectures. Your point about doing MCQs rather than watching lectures makes sense. I’m going to give that a try this time around. I’m using Surgent CPA review.
I am an Indian chartered accountant but truly speaking Indian CA is tougher than CPA. But everything needs dedication and hard work. Congratulations.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You ARE my life right now! My goodness. This gave me exactly what I needed! I have been "fake" studying and I need to get my life...NOW! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
Bledsoe Consulting Services i am studying BEC using becker. I turned in my application yesterday so now it's hitting me. Im going to give myself 6 weeks and take it. Im scared like hell but im going to use all your advice! Thanks again for posting this. Its inspiring for a guy like me to see something different than what you normally think of when a cpa comes to mind. Much respect Mrs. Bledsoe! ;-)
I'm on Step 1! Finding a study program. Doing the trials for a couple of them to see what works best for me. I plan to start with FAR and I planned to review and study for 6 months like you. YIKES! Soooooo how long should you review/learn using lectures and reading text?
For how long you should review with lectures and text, it depends on the length of the content. Some study programs offer content in such a concise way that you can power through it quickly, but others you'll have to cram more hours. My strategy was learning the first 4 weeks and then reviewing the second 4 weeks.
I'm about to graduate soon and I'm having so much anxiety just thinking about it. Idk how I'm gonna do it 😖. Hopefully I'll be able to to stay on track.
It truly is all about mindset. Making your studies a priority creates a huge impact. Congrats on graduating soon! That is a huge accomplishment. Make sure to celebrate that fully before starting on your CPA journey!
I'm going to use the part about what studying is actually and that is going over the question making studying cards cause those lecture don't help much and I'm scheduling my test in May giving me 8 weeks to get it together. Thank you.
I passed the CPA Exam while working full time too! When you say practice exams do you mean reworking multiple choice? I didn't a full practice exam made up of 70 questions (was intimidated by stories of becker practice exams) but little quizzes of like 10-30 or so and I reworked all of my multiple choice 4 -5 days before taking the cpa and when I did that I scored above 83s on the remaining three exams. I would go through the notes I made for a section in a chapter, rewrite more condensed notes on the topic (like a little study guide), and I reworked all of the mcq for that section until I got through the chapter(s) I was supposed to review that day. That helped me immensely and helped me pass my remaining exams. I also took off a day or so before my cpa exam (i tried to schedule exam for a tuesday and take off monday and that prior friday to have four full days to review without work). Luckily, I had an understanding boss. Good luck to those studying!
What I meant was taking the time to sit for 4 straight hours and take a practice exam as if it was the real thing. Back in my day (can't believe I'm already saying this), there were no built in breaks, therefore, I had to plan to sit there the entire time without a break because I needed every second to focus on the exam. Therefore, part of the reason I say do practice exams is not only to identify your weak areas, but also to get in the mindset of focusing for such a long period of time without experiencing mental fatigue or distractions. In other words, providing muscle memory for the brain! Congrats on passing the exam! Of course, everyone has a different approach, but practice exams are crucial, in my humble opinion. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am sure it will be motivating for others! :)
Hello...i real need help...i have degree in finance and banking but i real want to take the cpa exams...i feel this is one thing i need to accomplish. I do not know how to go about it.. Thanx in advance
Hi Linah. Before going down this path, I recommend you understand why you want to become a CPA. Having that why firmly nailed down in your mind will fuel you during the really hard times. Afterwards, you can visit this site to get started on learning about the testing process: nasba.org/exams/cpaexam/
Bledsoe Consulting Services ove decided not to take the to a but the CFE exam. I wanna be a forensic accounting. I'm. Not there yet, just regular classes are hard rough
Awesome! That's great you have some direction about which path you wish to take. Keep pushing through. It's rough now, but it'll be worth it once you are finished.
Hello, What programs were you referring to when you said you started with one and switched to another. Also which review course has the better practice exams between Wiley and Becker? Thanks!
When it comes to payroll, I recommend Gusto: gusto.com/r/melanie1186 - I use it myself and recommend that others use it, too! I'll share more behind the scenes in future videos. Thanks for watching! :)
Hi, my name is Anderson. I’m International Business major student and I want to become a CPA certified accountant. So I would like to know what kind of studies materials that you’ve used to studied and what studies materials do you recommend me to buy in 2019 to 2020? THANK YOU!
Bledsoe Consulting Services I actually passed all sections already but sometimes I like to watch these kind of videos to remember the struggle and how far I've come. :)

Please help me with this question: Whatever review course you used. I see that some offer video classes (extra $$). If you did, were they useful to you, or textbooks, your notes, and MCQ's were sufficient? Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for watching! :) I relied on the lectures, textbooks, MCQ's, practice exams, and my notes. I used Roger CPA Review (Now UWorld) and it was enough for me. I worked full time, so, didn't have the flexibility to attend live classes. But I have heard of others who did attend live classes and found them to be very helpful. Hope this helps!
I like her tips, I just wonder how people who work 10 hour days plus traveling time do it. This is my situ, so if anyone did please tell me how mAny hours did you sleep. I need my 8 hour sleep.
Yes. You will have to get your credentials evaluated by the Board of Accountancy in USA. It is a process and will take sometime. You may be required to take additional courses as well to fulfill the credits needed to enroll for the CPA exam. All the best.
Hi, I’m 41 yeas old u think still it’s worth for me cpa ? Mine uncle demotivate me he said it’s too late since your preparation didn’t done last five years ?
Hi Erum! I don't think it's ever too late to accomplish a goal you feel passionate about. Think of it this way. Say you start studying. Then, you get your CPA by the time you are 43. If you plan to retire in your mid-60's, then you still have 20 years to go in your career! 20 YEARS!! I'd say it's totally worth it! What are your thoughts?
Hi Daniel!! I'm so glad you found the video informative. I have so much to update on this channel!! One of the updates being that I'm not going to Udemy route anymore. Instead, I'll be putting together some programs later on this year. So definitely stay tuned. In the meantime, is there anything I should make sure to include in the program? What is of most interest to you?
I was looking forward to the third video you mentioned, the one about how to study efficiently. I already have the review course... Also, how do u like being a CPA? Is it a good field/profitable?
Ok thanks for letting me know. Which review course are you using and for which part are you studying? I love being a CPA! I realized shortly after that passing the exam is just the beginning! So much to learn. But I really enjoy it and so happy to have the exam behind me. :)
I am using Becker. The video lectures and even the text are too long and at the end they don't even relate to the multiple choice questions, it's very time consuming. The multiple choice are faster and make more sense. Nice, I am glad you enjoy being a CPA, it motivates me to pass my exam, lol

Hi my name is Ranpal Sharma and I am from India, i did B.Com and MBA in finance and now I have enrolled for the CPA course and buy wiley cpa excel course. Except far rest of the sections are ok but far will blow my brain. As i have never did journal entries and accounting like that in my previous education. Would you tell me about the good book about financial accounting which will be enough for me to cope up with the cpa far section. Thankyou
FAR was the most challenging topic for me. I used Roger CPA Review for my main course, because his lectures helped me better understand the journal entries. He has a channel on youtube. Check out this videos to see his lecturing style. You'll probably learn a lot and can use that information with your current course.
I started with yaeger, switched to becker. I just didn't feel it. I didn't even do the exams (funny thing is I have my masters in accounting, worked for PwC, decided to quit because of the crazy hours and also, b/c i haven't done the exams. Went to a new job with leaner hours, bjt I am so in a grut. I graduated in 2009, and to go back in the study "groove", it's difficult as hell. I decided to give it one more time, starting in 2018. I'm thinking about rogers. Also thinking whether to buy only one course in order to see if I can make it (especially after so many years of being out of the "groove"), or jist buy the elite package and deckde to go HAM (gosh, haha), just to save a buck.
I would say before you purchase anything, you will want to solidify WHY you are studying for the CPA exam. This will be your motivation so when you are tired of studying or discouraged, you'll have a firm foundation. Visit my website and sign up to get notified when I launch, because I have a program that I think will be ideal for you! www.bledsoeconsultingservices.com
i have my BS in economics and currently hold an entry level accounting position. to fulfill the education requirements/build more foundational knowledge i’m considering mba in accounting vs ms in accounting. what are your thoughts?
Bledsoe Consulting Services i plan to hold an accounting position for the next 3-5 years in corporate setting (to gain experience and take advantage of grad school/cpa sponsoring). i LOVE real estate investing, so leveraging cpa with that, both personally and as service to others, is what i’m really pursuing. expecting those services to start off as needed/part time, while continuing to work full time. rereading my comment..maybe i’ll work on a more structured plan this weekend lol
:) Sounds like a structured plan is definitely in order. Masters in Accounting is best suited for those who wish to have an accounting career. People with this background are typically in public accounting as auditors or tax professionals who eventually move to industry and become Controllers and CFO's. I only became a CPA, because I knew I wanted to remain in accounting as a career. Prior to that I was in accounting, but dabbled with different industries on the side (fitness & TH-cam - personal branding). The CPA is a lot of work so you'll want to make sure you have a STRONG why so that when times get hard you'll be committed to your goal. Let me know if this is helpful. If you have further questions, then I'm happy to answer!
Passing exam can be good if someone is making headways into the job market.I am so demoralized to make more attempts towards earning CPA because entry in job market has been so discouraging.Kindly give me some tips on how to go about the job market.
I'd say be ok with taking an entry position. Public accounting is not for everyone. Just because you are a CPA, doesn't mean right out the gate you'll be making a 6-figure income and be a manager or controller with no previous experience. A CPA provides a great foundation and is more of a ticket to take you to the next level and get your foot in the door. However, you gotta do the rest and prove yourself while on the job. Be willing to work those crazy hours during peak season, travel, relocate for the job and whatever else is necessary to build a reputation of being a diligent worker. Having the CPA designation is a piece of the puzzle. This rest is your determination to work hard. Hope this helps and this is a great topic for a future video. I'll definitely add it to the list. Did this response help? Let me know and thanks so much for watching!
Hi... I wanted to ask some questions... This video is really helpful to me... I am preparing for an exam... Need help for registration and some other study points .. trying to msg you on Instagram but it's not showing... Can you pls help to get the questions clear .. it will be helpful...

Hi Mr ranpal I am also preparing for cpa
I have Becker material
My mail id inus2009@gmail.com
I want Wiley test questions and can we share the material if you are interested
You worked for PwC!!! I would LOVE to work for PwC!!! Do you have any advice???
Lillian Anderson make sure you are a CPA when you start there. It is very important for your promotions. Success.
Yoga1978 Thanks for getting back to me!!! I will take your advice 😊
Hey bro I am also in same situation and I am working with EY. Did you start with it? I am planning to start by Oct, 18.
i have my BS in economics and currently hold an entry level accounting position. to fulfill the education requirements/build more foundational knowledge i’m considering mba in accounting vs ms in accounting. what are your thoughts?
Hi Shakilah! Thanks for your question. It truly depends on your goals. What is your 5 year plan? Ideally, what does life look like after the CPA exam?
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! Where are you in your CPA journey?
