I have found in my Accounting class i have to have BOTH video and book.... and over and over again hits spot on with me when it comes to testing. Like you say...people learn differently.
I disagree about not redoing the same questions again. You can, but make a minor tweak - don't read the choices. Try to answer the question from your memory. They effectively become like flashcards then.
Great tip! Thank you! I'm an audio learner. I guess I will just listen without writing notes ( cuz I always feel like I need to record things down ) and move on to the mcqs. It makes sense because I'll eventually just write notes on what I really need to excel better at
I would considered myself a kinetic learner because the part of the CPA exams that have led to me barely passing the two I've passed so far are the simulations. The problem is that I score in the 60s & 70s on the simulations in my first attempts and I know that opening once again, I get it right because of knowing which was wrong and through memorization. Does anyone have a couple tips to help me do better on the simulations in my first attempts?
Love the tips, I'm a visual learner and have sat for BEC & FAR once each didn't pass. I've procrastinated on retaking (years). I'm trying to refocus now (mom of 3). Any helpful visual study tips are much appreciated.
Honestly I don’t know how to study for only 100 hours.. I have Wiley and there are over 200 lessons... There is no way to know all this stuff in that amount of time and I study for 8-10 hours daily. I have to read every lesson because I hardly remember what I learned in college..Then taking notes takes time too.. Unless I am doing something wrong?
This may be a little late, but if you're still in the grind, You're studying too much. Go over the information, then just start doing a bunch of MCQ. If you passed already, great job!
Hi there. I'm interested in purchasing your crush the CPA exam study guide. But I wanted to know does this guide help study for the latest CPA exam? As they have changed the study material. I'm going to be utilizing Wiley...please do let me know. Thank you!
sorry but what a stupid question. not only is the new exam not out yet, he's already a cpa. on top of that, his tips in this video should apply to any edition. why would they be different? the answer to your question is simple, find out whats on the new exam, and study. pretty simple. btw there should be a question mark at the end of a question, not a period.
Hi my name is Ranpal Sharma and I am from India, i did B.Com and MBA in finance and now I have enrolled for the CPA course and buy wiley cpa excel course. Except far rest of the sections are ok but far will blow my brain. As i have never did journal entries and accounting like that in my previous education. Would you tell me about the good book about financial accounting which will be enough for me to cope up with the cpa far section. Thankyou

Finally, I found someone supported my opinion about relying in studying visually for the CPA. Thank you so much

that’s what I do, or I’ll verbally eliminate the wrong answers
Seems good technique, but I also feel like watching videos while doing final revision. Good , thanks

This makes me feel better. I think making studying your life is not good. I like to work smarter not harder.
