Really great tips! I'm noticing that as I continue to go through MCQ, I get better. It's time consuming, but it really feels great when you finally get a problem correct that has been causing heartburn for you! Thank you again!
What worked for me (in 2004): Time management practice software that tracked my weakest areas, where my study time would make the most difference based on the expected test content. Handwritten flashcards with drawn pictures - recopying them by hand - invoking visual memory (not verbal memory). Rewriting flashcards to simplify them. Sorting the flashcards into concepts I mastered vs. needing work and focus mostly on the ones needing work. Basic test taking - answering the easy questions first - excluding bad answers, identical answers, and answers too absolute, like tax answers containing "always" or "never". Exercise and nutrition, I find soy lecithin and vitamin B helpful for memory and stress.
My first test, I highlighted text, listened to lectures, did the skills practice and MCQ. By the third test, I no longer listened to lectures or highlighted as I found I'd forget everything by the time I started questions anyway. I watched the skills practice to give me a good visual and then strictly MCQs and found this to be adequate to pass. I agree with all these tips. I have two more tests to go, and I like the addition of the flashcards for difficult topics, which I will add. Very streamlined approach. Enjoyed your video!
1st of all congrats for passing CPA exam in 3 month. You put your effort in preparation of this video and sharing your secret with other. Good going. knowledge should be discussed.
I passed reg on Dec 2019 and was planning to sit for rest on 2020 but the pandemic and lock down took it down. I’m still working on it and will pass It soon
Obviously CPA exam has been a pain in my ass, but that won't bother me any longer I have gotten my license already thanks to you Mr Gabriel God bless you more cuz you made it possible for me
awesome video. i've taken all the parts but only have FAR and BEC done. this video encourages me that i'm on the right track with my study method, but i just gotta stay more focused in doing it. Only one question....how did you prepare for the sims? Unless you (we) just rely on the knowledge acquired from MCQs and apply that to the sims. I feel like practicing sims on a review course doesn't do anything.
But how did you actually study the materials? Was it in classes, books, or online courses? I can't take classes now and I want to go with a full time CPA. Where do I get the materials to be prepared for all exams? Thanks!
Ima edit That out I just started studying a week ago. I’m taking notes on the lectures right now and when I’m done with all my notes then I’ll study the multiple choice his way. I always have to write things out. My brain remembers things better that way. So I’m going to write them first, then study it later. Then I’ll use his multiple choice method to decide what to focus on more. Did you get started yet?
Ima edit That out Also I got the Becker program. Are u going to get a study program? I don’t know how people do it without one. I only know of one person that did it without one, but he was always the one that got As on all his tests.
Thanks so much for the time you took to make this video! So you are saying that the first thing you did was do multiple choice questions without watching the lecture or read the text first?
I'm wondering about cpa excel multiple choice. I can't find a demo of how they are set up but can you explain how to learn from them. I assume they they tell you why an answer was correct but do they explain why the wrong answers were incorrect? I'm trying to figure out the best way to learn from multiple choice questions before the lessons as you did.
Hello. I am a foreigner hoping to get the CPA soon-ish (I'll have my Bachellor's in two years, and I think I need it before I can sit for the exam, correct?). I have basically no background in accounting (I am studying accounting, but being on IFRS, in spanish, not the best education and me not the best student, it's easier to say I have no knowledge at all), and preparing to buy Roger CPA. Any advices for me? any tips? how do you think I should go into tackling the CPA?. Thanks. PD: Don't worry about the bureaucracy. I have already figured out how to deal with my working expierence, and my education CPE credits. I have chosen NH, which has no Ethics exam. Also no requirements of SSN or any annoyance for a foreigne. My question is purely regarded how to pass the exam itself.
would this strategy work with becker study material? they have MCQ for each chapter but would range anywhere from 10 - 63 MCQ per chapter depending on the difficulty of the chapter. Thanks

I think it's a matter of personal abilities, I mean this really worked with my cma but I passed the two parts in 3 months of studying and cpa is way heavier material. I will take your advice consider your words in my studying hopefully will pass in 9 months period. thank u
I have FAR exam scheduled in two weeks and as I know now after searching the net the best way to prepare fast is doing tons of MCQs, but all MCQ banks I have found are for US CPA FAR and I'm taking the Australian one. I still cannot find the info on suitability of those MCQs for my case. Can anyone help me with this please?
Trust me, unless you graduate from a top 10 school, GPA's don't really matter. If you're planning on going into public accounting, then even your GPA from a top school won't matter because you'll need to attest to the financial statements as a licensed CPA. Good luck and all the best.
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to uncover cpa exam process try Renkarter Study System Report (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my m8 got amazing results with it.

this strategy is literally GOLD. It took me more like 9 months, but still, better than 4 years without success using the other methods.
Hey, less than a year for one of the most important millestones in the career of any accountant, sounds good to me!.
Congrats.
This guy made me feel a lot more comfortable. And for that, I thank you sir
You’re smarter than lots of people because of your intense concentration. Thanks for the tips. My classmate also told me to do the MCQs first.

Have you used other CPA review program to help such as Becker...thanks
does this method work for any professional exam?
Amazing video...thanks a lot for tips...Really helpful...
Is there any helpline or person to talk more about the material.
How much time should be allotted to working on SIMS vs MCQs?
But how did you actually study the materials? Was it in classes, books, or online courses? I can't take classes now and I want to go with a full time CPA. Where do I get the materials to be prepared for all exams?
Thanks!
Does CPAexcel still have a mobile app that includes this MCQ function?
Great advice. Thank You!!! I'll let you know how many months it took me. I'm going to start studying soon.
Can you give any updates ?

Did you pass or fail
This is why you can do comparable in all categories on AUD, as everyone else and get a 74. Yup, the letter reminded me it was all about luck there.
Should I start preparing for the CPA during college? Or would a higher GPA be more useful
