Just wrapped my plate on my Jaguar yesterday with this kit and it turned out awesome. It looks like its the DMV issued plate. Going to buy one for my audi a3 now. Very impressed with the quality.
I've wrapped my trunk and other parts of my car but this was extremely hard for me. Mainly getting the black vinyl on the plate itself. I dunno how you were able to get it without any wrinkles

Would applying a light soapy spray of dish soap and water help to adhere the vinyl to plate with the option to reposition it if needed. I used this method on my trucks hood to adopt a vinyl decal and it has worked fine for 2 years now with multiple drive through car washes with no sign of release.
I would love to do this. Just wondering if a cop can tell that you don’t have a real black plate? Would the first letter or number be different with a personalized black plate? Has anyone gotten a ticket from doing this?
The new 60s plates have a different sequence than the regular plates (if you didn’t get a vanity plate). Its Letter + 3 numbers + 1 letter + 1 number as opposed to the 1 number + 3 letters + 3 number convention on the “normal” plates. Most cops wouldn’t notice or care but some might, especially if they want to conduct a pretextual stop of your car.
Ah............. one issue. Colorado stopped using embossed plates. A Colorado tag is a wrap to begin with. Plus it looks like one could make a plate say anything ...................... one wanted it to read.
I know several guys who paint theirs black and yellow with a super high gloss and the fuzz doesn't know shite. When the fuzz runs your plates the computer doesn't say what color tbe original was. If it looks legit then it will pass.

At 5:04 a policeman says that 5201 of the California Vehicle Code prevents any covering or coating on a license plate. And he goes into detail. First he talks about illegal covers. Then illegal coatings. And surprising to me was he said that in the eyes of the law you do not own the license plate, you are leasing it from the state. Please be careful, guys.

why not have letters on 1 peice so they stay straight?
like the california sticker.. if shipping size reasons you could fold the letters in half between w-x if it was that plate in vid
It's very difficult to get the spacing between letters exact so for the cleanest most accurate placing its best to do them 1 letter at a time

You don't need cricut but you do need a vinyl cutting machine. Cricut works well for me super easy.
