Simply the greatest band of all time. John Wright is absolutely unlike any other vocalist in punk rock, Rob is an exceptionally tasteful and creative drummer, and Holliston is the icing on top - perfectly cribbing a lot of the early classics which featured their brilliant first guitarist, Andy Kerr, while adding his own personality to the band. Other bands may be "heavier", or whatever, but nobody flat-out rocks like these three.

@@sciencecharity Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I realize why I skipped part two - a lot of covers at the end, and I don't know The Ramones that well. That said, I just posted the song list for part two 🙂 I do need help with one of the covers there though. Enjoy!
Since 1989 when I saw them the first time live in Zurich/Switzerland NMN ist my absolutely all time favorite Band. These Guys are the best live act ever.
NMN are quite unique in the whole rock-punk-hc-whatever world. Not only ever-lasting, but always compelling. I discovered them in 1991, with Wrong, saw them 7 times, still find their music fresh and surprising. Who else could have done a a-cappella cover of DK's Forward to Death?
Slob Roger Sterling on vocals! Nomeansno have defeated all possible rivals for the crown of greatest hardcore punk band of all time. Bad Brains and Dead Kennedys were up there, but sheer longevity and relevance have pulled Nomeansno well above everyone else.
+xTheOxx I keep re-listening to this gig, and I keep re-seeing your comment, but I can't re-like it, so I keep re-thinking that you're absolutely right.
+xTheOxx They've kicked ass and they've been at the top of their game for as long as they've been playing. No one even compares, they even get more credit for being unabashedly old in a young-man's genre.
My first live punk show was NoMeansRamones back in '88 or '89, they covered the entire Ramones album "It's Alive", dialogue intact. I think in '93 ('Wrong' had just come out) I saw them with Victim's Family, another excellent act. It's amazing they are still out there rocking the bells.
They did a show in Vancouver once at the TownPump club Vancouver , called Clone Ramones, where they had Joey Ramone singing and Nomeansno playing the songs it was amazing. Joey was having a hardtime keeping up. Wish there was video of that, but cameras are not like they are today.
wow they are just amasing here. I put up show with them in Iceland 98 i think it was. Show them still rock lika teenagers give us hope. Punk just keep u young.
When i saw them 'bout 25 years ago in Austria, they looked quite nerdy and a bit stupid, now they look geriatric. But they consequently play brilliant, well thoughted and professional Music from then till now.Looooove it !
Classic Alternative Tentacles! I remember that as my go to record label for good hardcore and punk like DK and NoMeansNo etc. back in the 80’s and 90’s. I have no idea if they still exist today but i remember them as a huge institution for creativity and punk back in the days and the deserve every accolade and praise they get! I’m glad to see these guys still perform in their golden years. Imagine being so lucky!!🙌🏼
I (sorta) feel your pain. That I can't find a man who likes this as much as I do & isn't disturbed that I spent my teen years learning every note of their greatest records on every instrument, is a loud, brilliant badass explanation as to why this girl can't find a decent man. Your post gives me strength for the search, & there's always playing it for your kids later, right? It'll blow their mind..
The River In Her Eyes Oh No! Bruno! Every Day I Start to Ooze Jubilation Ghosts Slave I Don't Care (Ramones cover) One And The Same The Graveyard Shift
Is this 2013 Tour the last from NMN? My last time was 2007 and first 1989. And first Records in 87 Small Parts Isolated and Destroy and The Day everything became nothing.
I guess the voice starts to go after 60. Be that as it may, and 30+ years later, No Means No remains the ONLY band that leaves me with the impression that they're addressing themselves to me personally. -Whatever....................
I was on this tour tour managing/merchandising, never a bad show! This band was amazing night after night! An honour to be associated!
That is freaking bad assery right there
The River is a fabulous piece of songwriting. So epic.
Best band on the planet!

This is my first comment on TH-cam. I saw No Means No live many years ago... they are fantastic, absolutely love this!

so happy to live in the same city these dudes are from - Victoria, BC - the highlight for me would be "Everyday I Start to Ooze"!
Me too. If I wasn't, I might never have heard of them, and I'm sure my life would have gone on a completely different track.
This song defines everything and anything that is love, and how human shortcomings can make it slip away from us
Which one? They played several.
Holy shit this is beautiful.
The best show! Listen to that rendition of Ghosts!

when they get ready to go into everyday... the excitement in the crownd is almost palpable?
There's place for virtuosos in punk? Yes, there is. These people know how to fucking play and it's still as punk as can get. Or not?

da hab ich ja echt in der death metal- zeit eine band völlig untreschätzt. nomeansno war für mich immer 0/8/15 punk...was für ein fehler!!! 0.0
