- Nomeansno playing Two Lips... and Rags & Bones live at the Vera in Groningen 12-04-1990. From one of the two shows taped for the Live N Cuddly record. This one two punch of these two songs is the exact same performance found on Live N Cuddly.
I can’t believe I’m still discovering brilliant shit at nearly 50!!..I’m hearing these guys for the first time today early August 2019 goddamit!!..why!!! WHY!!!!

Nomeansno with Andy Kerr was the best band in the universe! "Wrong" "Sex Mad" "Small Parts Isolated and Destroyed" was great fucking albums :)

Seconded strongly. I heard they're jerks,(could be repelling against the legend of NICE CANADIANS or having a bad night in Green Bay), but this undoubtedly is their apex. WRONG!!
every time I watch older NMN live performances I get how important Andy was to their sound, guitar and vocal wise.

I've loved them since I heard Wrong & Live & Cuddly when I was about 16. They are still prob my favourite band 20 years later. Metronome is absolutely amazing ❤ from Australia 🐨

When this album was released we had no idea or even a fantasy that it was filmed - and here it is. Amazing. Totally amazing

I had no idea, Live and Cuddly introduced me to them in the 90s and going to buy all the stuff before and listening to it was amazing. 20 years later youtube vid of actual recording blew my mind, soooo gooooddd!!!!
We skated a mini ramp in the north east of England with this playing relentlessly. Such a trip to witness the video of it

Just amazing. Especially Rags & Bones. Got see them on the 0+2=1 tour, Nottingham Ballroom 1990. When Andy Kerr was in the band they were unstoppable. The Wright Bros. should be honoured for their contribution to punk rock music.
I am a proper music junkie, not a snob, I love all of the best music, and when asked what my favorite band is, I will wear it brightly on my sleeve, this is the best rock band that ever existed.
this tape was stuck in the casset player in my old car......all it played was this album, over and over and over. It was awesome, i cant think of a better unhappy happy accident.

My first "real" live in my life was them, in Toulouse, France at about that time. I also discovered just a few years ago that they were still around... Thanks to an ad for a concert in Cork, at the Crane Lane :D (almost missed it)
So I went to see them a second time, more than 20 years later.. It was weird, awesome, and it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen in Ireland. Even got to chat a bit with them after the gig. Just really great human beings :)
I had the privilege of seeing nmn at least 10 times in the nineties and every time it was magic . They blew away every band I have ever seen !! When they played there was no hate only a united crowd digging the vibe .just like its supposed to be . Next time the pop through Calgary I'm going for sure!!

Nomeansno (sometimes stylized as NoMeansNo or spelled No Means No) was a punk rock band formed in Victoria, BC and later relocated to Vancouver. They issued 11 albums, including a collaborative album with Jello Biafra, as well as numerous EPs and singles. Critic Martin Popoff described their music as "the mightiest merger between the hateful aggression of punk and the discipline of heavy metal." Formed in 1979 by brothers Rob and John Wright, the group began as a two-piece punk band influenced by jazz and progressive rock. They self-released their debut Mama LP in 1982. They were inducted into the Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2015, and announced their retirement the following year.
This brings back great memories of their incredible Dublin gig the same year, I wore my 'stay at home read a book' t-shirt until it fell off me

Holy shit, I had no idea there was actually video from Live & Cuddly. Thank you! As every one else has said - one of the tightest Live bands on the planet. Was honored to open for them soooo many years ago.

Live and cuddly was my introduction to Nomeansno. they became my favorite band, saw 'em five times and now they are not anymore...and they never turned shitty or let us down. how amazing is that?!

Saw them 4 times in the 90's up here in Portland. I'd force my way up to the rail and glue myself there just to watch the drummer the entire show. GD phenomenal players, thank god they never got "discovered".

I was born in '82, (in Victoria!) but: I had sisters who were 8 and 10 years older. I was spoonfed The Radness that is NMN.

I was living in Montreal and saw them on this tour. The Ex opened and they were amazing but these dudes absolutely killed. Still one of the best shows I have ever seen, screaming these lyrics in the pit with so many others screaming them as well. Andy Kerr was crucial.
Prog-punk at its finest. Along with Bad Brains, best pure musicians in punk rock by a long shot. It would have behooved you all to have seen these guys live in the early 90s.

@Trips :) Lots of good bands. If you think NoMeansNo wasn't brainy you didn't get into them. But the topic was prog-punk live energy, not many people who saw NMN in early 90s think there are bands anywhere that matched them for that. I brought people who loved all those bands and also deadheads, hip hop fans... jaws always dropped.
@Trips I'm wondering if you are at all aware how cringy this statement is. "You can prefer shallow music, I prefer more intellectual" You're not smarter than anyone else here, you're in fact far dumber for thinking like that.

I only saw these guys once. It was around this time, 1990 in Seattle at the OK Hotel. Killer show. So tight, such energy!!!

NMN played about 2 hours and then they came back out and did 30 min as Hanson Brothers.
They blew the mains at the Cattle Club in Sacto.

One of the few bands still around that rock every time, and just give you a damn good show!
Nomeansno is great. I saw them more than a dozen times in the nineties. He inspired me to learn to play bass. This is a real punk rock band.

HA! i was in a band some 20-odd years ago, and we used to cover 'Two Lips, Two Lungs And One Tongue' all the time. We ended up seeing them live too (where they also did the Hansen Brothers), with Alice Donut.
I've seen them in France in the earliers 90's.. What an incredible show !
