@N4505 It's the GoPro "unfortunantly", it's also called the Dassault Jet on HK's website, and it's pretty heavy duty, so it does have the capability to fly with a brick such as the GoPro :)
Hi there! Great video once again guys! I have one of those airplanes and I had a few problems with it! First problem was the landing gear! It's not sturdy enough! After 3 or 4 flights the gear just collapsed. I had to glue it on with epoxy. After that I had no more problems. Mine was also very nose heavy with the same battery pack you used. I had to add lead weights to the tail to keep it right. Other than that it flyes very well. Regards Ricardo PoAF

Magnetic hatches are a bad idea no matter how strong. See Coanda effect for fuhrer info. Also, I know it sucks and is time consuming, but a balanced EDF rotor is priceless in terms of performance and longevity. Pretty cool jet and performance. Nice landing.

O i forgot too ask..What camera did you use for the in-flight footage? Seems decent. Ha i like that,send the Boss out in the bushes for the canopy!!! I assume that was Mr Hobby King...

i have a rebel 70 and this and that fly very similar. What i do is hold the wing right beside the fuselarge and power up to full, run with the jet, and then give it a nice firm straight push and you should be in the air

I have a Euro fighter which I had inverted and my magnetic hatch popped too, however battery came dangeling underneath soon after, I reverted the the jet threw it around and managed to get the battery flung on top of the wing. CG was too far aft then so I power stalled it to the ground. Besides a bit of cosmetic scratches it came out in one piece, have not flown it since though. Think it is EDF time again props are for boats.

@kGCryTeK You definately should choose a pusher prop plane for beginner, or a top wing foamy trainer like the Cessna 182 or J3 Cub, but these have the motor on the front, so the first crash might be a little too hard on you. A pusher prop gives the easiest and best flight experience for a beginner.
@bakonlicious ...actually mulletitus sets in when the hair falling down the back of the neck is longer than the hair on top of the head. Mine is the same length in both areas, only the sides are shorter, making it sort of a mangy mohawk. But don't fear. My wife has since cut an inch off of it, so it's a but less extreme. I was starting to scare small children... except for my son, who thought it was so cool we gave him the same haircut.
@flitetest Love my DriftHD170 but hate that the recorded file format is .MOV. Just be warned. .MOV's are hard to import to PC based editing applications like Movie Maker, Adobe and Sony Vegas. I've heard that all you need are the appropriate codecs but I've tried all the suggested codecs with no luck.
Mine balances well at the prescribed point in the instructions (178mm)....but there is much talk on that leaving this plane nose heavy. Haven't flown mine yet, but I'll try the 177mm and see how that goes. I welcome any advice!!! Cheers.

well, hobbypartz sells the turnigy 9x under the name of frsky something-something 9x. BUT for less than that i wud get a dx5e and buy a full range receiver, wich is about 50$ the dx5e is about $70, so i wud recommend that, because you could get wayyyyy longer range. BUT a downside is that the dx5e is only 5 channels vs 9, it also does not have a lcd screen, but i wud still think the dx5e is better, becuz u have delta wing mixing by just flipping a switch. If u are a beginner use a dx5e. cont>
that plane rocks with the Portuguese colors on it! of course we don´t fly the alphas no more... we have the super modern 2nd hand old U.S.A.F F16 on the job! :\ the alphas are only for training... and air shows! The Joshes rule, peace!
I actually saw one of these at our field on Saturday... doesnt look like the most prettiest thing, but flew exceptionally well!
