I love this! We have a cute little crabapple tree in our front yard, and the past couple of years, we've been using the fruit to make jam. It takes a couple extra steps because we pick the fruit and clean it ourselves, but it is so worth it!
This quarantine I’ve taken up bread making and just baking in general and I’ve been loving every little bit of it. I’ll definitely have to try this out! 🧡
this is so personal and sentimental. I've been considering making jam from some of my great grandmothers old recipes. I've been afraid to unveil them, but lately I've been reconsidering. Excellent video and thank you so much!
Will have to try this. I think we will all have learned to do more with what we have thru all of this. From making our own bread, to making things stretch a little farther and making do with what we have, it's definitely good practices to continue with. At another house, we had Concord grapes and I would make grape butter, very similar method to what you did, except for having to strain the seeds and skin. I loved giving a jar to family members at Christmas along with other baked goodies.
Here's a tip for tying something by yourself. If you loop 2 times before your initial tightening, it will hold itself together. Then do your second knot as normal to make your square knot. I hope that makes sense.
Lady omg thank you I made some yesterday and today at 6 am I tried eating some of it on toast it taste so darn good thank you ma'am for showing me how to make jam I won't forget this recipe
I wish there was smell vision!!! Looks so delicious and i can't wait to try it! Please share more homemade recipes like this if you can, especially because we are all still in quarantine and want to make the most out of our items at home. Thanks for sharing
This looks wonderful! I actually have half a bag of frozen blueberries that I wasn’t sure what to do with. Think I’ll make some jam soon. Thanks for sharing, lovely! 💕💕💕
you don't have put them in the oven just add boiling hot water in the jar , and cookin the jam is clean enough since is boiled for the jars. The funnel is just a great idea. and only 2 cups of sugar, I was concerned with other videos they put a lot of sugar, this is so simple. Those French Jam jars the red checked lids are so beautiful typical traditional .
TIP : Just immerse jam jars into a basin of cold water overnight to soften labels. That way it helps to save the planet by not wasting precious electricity on boiling away labels that will come away easily soaked in cold water. Just do it the night before you wish to use them and if the sticky won't come off use a little baby oil. NO NEED TO BOIL
Diet has never effected my arthritis, the only thing that does is weather. I don't eat a lot of sugar and something like this I only use a couple tsps on toast so there's not much sugar in it at all!
Much to watery for me, looks messy to "spread". you need to cook the jam on a rolling boil, no need to add chia seeds, just boil it to reduce the sauce and so the fruit can release its natural pectin.. its all about the chemistry when jam making, loving the cloth tops, but yeah just some advice for people out there, rolling boil for thick jam. You know jam is done when you can spoon a large amount and all of it stays on the spoon,
Why American eat too much sugar????homemade lịke this is not different buy from the store. ( Im so sorry if Im offence you American, but this just telling the truth)
Nothing beats homemade jam. I still remember my mommy making this.
it's so delish!
Em people laugh at me//but i save them also//jars are sooooo much money//i save them//you are doing the right thing//
you saved my life with that trick for removing the tags!
My grandmother makes jam all the time I'm so happy you did this video

that is so amazing! I love that!
If you wanna make this healthier:
- sub sugar for a sweetner like erithritol or stevia
- add chia seeds - this will give it a thick jam texture
sweeteners are not healthier than sugar
It looks so yummy! Also a citrus squeezer is amazing! It ensures that you get all the juice fr the lemon with no seeds!
I’m doing some little care packages for some friends with homemade croissants and a few other little things. This video gave me the idea! Thank you.

Thanks:)
Rubbing your jars with olive oil will also easily remove adhesive. Very effective!
Using a juicer for the lemon makes it easier and you get the pulp, the kind that's got a ribbed place to turn the lemon on and juice it
My heart needed a sweet Emelyne baking video 🥺❤️ Thank you Em!
awwww!! hope you're doing well!
I just made raspberry jam on Sunday. I’ll try this recipe next :)

stuff look fab//I bet it taste great//
It looks delicious ❤️ yummy
i love your content!!
Super yum! But how do you eat stuff like this and not have it impact your R/A? Sugar is a huge inflammatory factor in that.
Diet has never effected my arthritis, the only thing that does is weather. I don't eat a lot of sugar and something like this I only use a couple tsps on toast so there's not much sugar in it at all!
I loved this video thank you
These are amazing tips!
Thank you for the information
Can you use honey or agave instead of sugar?
Can I make it with strawberries instead of the mixed berries?
Can I put a little bit water?
How long can we preserve them?
Thank to this can I copy it
Looks delicious... was your bag of berries actually 6 cups tho? the bag says 32 ounces which equals to 4 cups doesnt it?
Can it be frozen I wonder
So you don’t need pectin ??
Wondering how your TTC journey is going..? Hope all is well. I know you haven’t talked about it for awhile
I'm going to post an update video about TTC this week or next!
And it also sterilizes the jars.
"De-thaw"
"Dethaw" is freezing, thawing is thawing
