Was looking for a recipe like this last year but couldn’t find it but here it is and what a great recipe it is thank you so much.
What an interesting recipe, I'll be sure to try it! Although a lot of pesticides are absorbed by citrus fruits, so it is best to use organically grown alternatives when possible. Another non-food use for orange peel: when dried completely, it serves as additional kindling for a fireplace in colder climates such as here in Scandinavia, as the aromatic oils in the dried peel makes it burn well (and it adds a nice smell to the house while drying). @@AnaMarinaThe pesticides on the surface of the peel, sure. However, no amount of scrubbing will remove the pesticides absorbed into the cells of the fruit or peel...and citrus fruits are among the crops that receive the most pesticide use. But by all means, to each their own! Have a nice day!

I made these before Christmas and everyone in the family loved them but if you eat more than two pieces you will get an unbelievable headache. After some research I discovered that citrus rind is high in naturally occurring histamine which can trigger migraines in susceptible individuals. Please eat only a small amount until you are sure you aren't one of these unlucky ones.
