    To all that must be concerned : avoid beauty salons as much as you can . If you don’t have any other resource , mom , sister , someone you really trust , do it yourself . Most beauty saloon owners are either pressed by time , greed or they care less if they mess up your tresses .

    That's sweet/cute that your husband helped. I appreciated the extra steps you took with parting and applying the rubber bands. I was worried about the touch up process and how to avoid processing the already processed areas. This was a great video, thank you!!

      How did your hair turn out🤔 I'm doing mine in the next 2 weeks after being natural for over 16 years.

    • @cosmicbeauty5682
      @cosmicbeauty5682 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@csexitube I JUST did a touch up on my roots and a re touch on the rest of my hair that had already been processed today, and it turned out MUCH better this time.
      When I made this post I relaxed my hair like the next day and on a scale between 1-10 with 10 being fully processed, my hair was at a 1. It was like my hair didn't take to the relaxer, but it was due to me not smoothing the relaxer well enough.
      The first time I relaxed, my hair was still frizzy and unmanageable, but now after touching up the roots and retouching the rest of the hair, it looks and feel so much better. I made sure to base my scalp and the under processed hair with Vaseline. The curls are looser the roots, edges and nape are laying down nicely 😊

    Using rubber bands was genius. Did you take them out before or after washing?

    • @UmaAbde
      @UmaAbde  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! I took them out while washing. After I use the neutralizing shampoo a few times. I gently removed the rubber bands while my hair is under the water. It’s the easiest way to take the rubber bands out and to also make sure you wash all the relaxer off because they May be relaxer under the rubber or in between them that you don’t want to miss washing of.

    Thinking about doing this myself today but one of the biggest problems for me is I need glasses to see. Anyway, how often do you get a trim?

    • @UmaAbde
      @UmaAbde  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh I’m so sorry, yah that would be tricky. I’m sure there is a way… I would tape the glasses to my face so they don’t move around. Let me know if you figure something out. I actually haven’t trimmed for ever. Just big chops. I recently did my first trim.

    Do you wash your hair with the rubber bands in?

    • @UmaAbde
      @UmaAbde  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      yes, because I don't have time to take them off while the relaxer is still in, I take them off slowly after washing the relaxer off while the neutralizing shampoo is in my hair. if you don't tie the rubber band too tight, it should just slide off.

    Is this safe to use on 3c hair? My hair grows out straight about 2.5 inches and then curls. I have a lot of hair so I just want to be able to easily manage my hair.

    • @UmaAbde
      @UmaAbde  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The best way to find out is to collect the hair you lose from brushing, and relax it at different times ( 15 min, 10 min, 5 min) till you get the results you want. Always test on small piece of hair first. Hope this makes sense.
