All I can say about this theme when compared to the original is that it's awesome. I honestly don't have a preference to either one, as the melody is still incorporated, just in a newer and more modern way. The old music will always give me waves of nostalgia, but Nintendo has done a great job remaking these classics for a more modern audience.
@@eeeeggnog._. The peak theme was never creepy, the only real difference is it sounds "objectively" worse due to tech constraints. But nostalgia nerds gonna complain, what can you do.
This song is a frigging banger, reminds me of Gerudo Valley theme in Super Smash. Really like the mexican/spanish style of music. Especially with Nintendo's tint on these tracks.
It's not as good as the original to be honest. If they'd of made it more 'Latin American' or 'Mexican' as everyone says like the original it would of worked pretty well.
I prefer the original just cause it has more of a nostalgia hit for me, but the ORAS remake is really good too. This one is more mystical and echo-y versus the unsettling feeling of the original.
ok hot take here but seeing the comments i gotta put it out there - RSE’s soundtrack is one of the most earsplitting and annoying OST’s I have ever heard and this is vastly superior in just about every way. Every ORAS track is.
The original soundtrack for this area was my favourite..... This alternate version sounds like it had ALL the notes from the original SHARPLY cut at the end. WHY GAMEFREAK? WHY!!???
I can't get over how fucking good the intro to this is..

I am madly in love with everything related to ORAS OSTs. And I think this one might be one of my all-time favorites.
This games have incredible music! I recently replayed ORAS and originals so I got footage for my covers and I loved it so much!
I know the (Peak) is in reference to this being played on the mountains peak but peak is such a perfect word to describe this track.
as a kid i would stay up late and put in headphones and go onto the top of the mountain to listen to this, i would get chills and cry bc it’s so good

This honestly sounds like something out of Mystery Dungeon

Whenever I am out climbing particularly difficult mountains - especially in winter, this song often plays in my head.
Though it may be slightly slower and not as "intense" I like this one better simply because of the instruments used.

I'm pretty happy to see so many others here recently. All the graves were a bit of a turn-off for me, but very little in this game disappoints.
There's a reason why it's called "peak".
