I was in the audience for one of the recording sessions; half the audience were school students, the other half were from an old people's home who moaned about the cold draft (and probably didn't know what was going on!). Fascinating to watch it being recorded at the much missed Central TV studios in Birmingham City Centre.
Excellent stuff! When I was young I used to find blockie so boring but the music, and city animation at the beginning were brilliant. As for Bob himself he's a LEGEND! Frankly no other game show host since him as as much respect or credit! Shame the game was a bit boring but I suppose thats what made it so unique! I really miss it now I'm 28 especially Bobs upbeat positive character!
@@Hgames_RBLX they've always had the can i have a P please Bob joke loads of times on blockbusters. I've written to Bob Holness once when i was in secondary school. It was part of one of the English lessons we had
No one was forced to do it but the majority always did and enjoyed it so why be a downer on the thing, guess what most would have that climate of tv to now in a heartbeat!
God be with the times you used to wait to see if it was this or the ordinary end credits and being excited when it was this!!!

I remember the 1st Blockbusters Hand Jive. It was 1 of my earliest memories of the gameshow, before I went to bed, as a child.
What time did you go to bed at ?!?
TV seldom got any better than this. Happy times, spent watching Blockbusters and doing the hand jive before doing homework. Le sigh...
This is so heartwarming and nostalgic. Thank you.
BACK THEN, TV WAS SO GOOD THAT EVEN THE AUDIENCES HAD TALENT!!!!! :(

How dare Challenge not do the Hand Jive for their revival of Blockbusters?
Nor does Comedy Central. Although they joke when someone picks P.

Blockbusters - End Titles and Hand Jive - Central ITV - 1992
I used to find the Blockbusters hand jive irritating- I still do!
This is a very good reason why audience participation (even in the closing credits) should never be allowed on any television game show.
I spotted one of the pauls (Those posh lads) in the audience at 0:39
Brutal shame
watch at 0.5x speed
@ElectricMVx Would that have been done by the show's board operator?
The anti fur T-shirt ❤
