Why do all attempts to revive Blockbusters die after a single series? Especially the recent Simon Mayo version, that was one of Challenge TV's biggest ever ratings hits. You'd have thought they'd have jumped at the chance to do a secend season.
+Classictv90s Oh, definitely. If you take on the Blockbusters hosting job, you can only strive to be the show's second best presenter. I think Simon Mayo achieved that. Liza Tarbuck was enthusiastic enough, but not a natural fit in the role. And Michael Aspel just looked fed up the whole time.
The board was meant to be used for a single broadcast. The original board was meant for multiple broadcasts. No production company would spend the money to make it look more expensive. For a single broadcast

+97channel Bob Holness is in my opinion a tough act to follow as he is too irreplaceable to replace as host of Blockbusters.

I thought Michael Aspel looked wooden when he presented that cheap BBC 2 version in 1997.
Because nothing beats a classic
Because the legend BOB HOLNESS isn't hosting
Having a question where the answer was one of the contestants (Jamelia) was unfair.
No Bob, no blockbusters. Simple.
This is a gameshow marathon it's to play the gameshows of the past
this can't be blockbusters
He could bring it back
Or maybe Ben could

Gameshow Marathon debuts in Italy and in Vietnam this year of 2023
T question was funny
Unbelievable that the board in 2014 can look cheaper than in the 1980s...
snufkin84 This is not 2014 this is 2007.
The point still stands.
