I have had a set of these resorts for some time and they work a treat. The only thing I have found is that leaving them in over night produces fewer holiday makers. IMO you should put them in just after lights out and remove them 2-3 hours later for the maximum number of tourists. Keep up the great work Gallery Aquatica
Bless you Ania, you managed to keep up calling them a resort all that time, towards the end i was laughing and screaming "TRAP". Now you know those nasty things are going for a swim down the toilet :)
Well that's neat, and you're quite hilarious. As a biology teacher, I know how you don't want to seem scared of critters in front of an audience ;) awesome video!
I too find Ania’s reaction hilarious. As someone who sees bristleworms on the daily I expected she would keep her cool when filming the bristleworm video😂 Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV Yeah I really expected a Steve Irwin kind of excitement from an Australian biologist, but this is more entertaining. The Crocodile Dundeeing is your job :D It seems she's more the Crown Princess Mary of Denmark type.
@@GalleryAquaticaTV Sorry, that's what Australia is to someone growing up in the 90's Denmark. I really need to travel more and broaden my cultural insight haha
@@GalleryAquaticaTV haha how could I? you're strapping a Leatherman knife in your short shorts and handling dangerous animals daily! You're obviously either Irwin or Dundee. Didn't even know Crowe was from down under. Honestly, that's what hooked me to GA at first, the look that's a nice mix of Irwin and Dundee and reef keeping. That has to be good right? :D Idea for a spin off show: exploration of the tidal zones near TGBR, what exciting animals can you find? And add in some Ania screams of horror and you got gold!
We can send them to you no worries. It’s a bit pricier and lengthier duration for freighting. PRivate message our FB page and we can send a quote. Last I checked it was about $17 AUD for up to 500g. Ania
We sure do! We sell these in store, but also through our website www.galleryaquatica.com.au and also eBay Australia .... alongside through FB messenger
This puts me at ease, I am only just now starting to see a population boom of small bristle worms hanging out in the red macro tray I have in tank. I'll try a few of these traps if I can find them in the US. Thought about a wrasse but I would lose any crabs
Yah, we sure do. You can grab our BW resorts on our site, galleryaquatica.com.au If there are any issues best to contact us via our email (shop@ ) or just via the store page on FB messenger
Just saw your video and ordered a small one I hope it works 🤞got a nasty looking long one around 3-4 inches.. I decided to look n see what was going on at night to my surprise didn't realize I had a few scavenging around and if there's a few there's out to be more
@@GalleryAquaticaTVI hate them with a passion I was so proud of having a bristleworm free tank until I found out that I got them Like catching herpes. I’ll never be rid of them but I do what I can to keep their numbers low and they don’t dare come out during the day or visible on the rock at night
Loved this video! Ania, you did well not to squeal in horror because we could tell they were creeping you out! 😂😂 I wondered what the “whale” was and noticed you replied to Paul that it’s a Grammoptilis tang - I couldn’t get any google results - does it have a common name? I’m not super-good with some of the more obscure tangs though I’ve finally learned the difference between a sohal tang and a clown tang 😁
Hi Reefgrrl! Thank you! The BW do make my skin crawl! And my apologies for the delay in reply. I’m getting better at checking in on the TH-cam these days . I think the Whale common name is Ringtail tang. But I believe that is another very similar species of tang. She is Acanthurus grammoptilus (maybe I have spelt that wrong ☺️🫢) Ania
@@GalleryAquaticaTV Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it given I know how crazy busy you guys are these days! I’m still enjoying your videos, though I am somewhat behind in watching them - busy here too! 😁
Very interesting to see such good results. However I wish these traps were see through so I know what I am opening up before I take that lid off🤯. I have seen only one last night of maybe 5 centimeters perched on a rock in my 29 gallon reef. My heart skipped several beats at the sight of this alien looking grey thing. I have never seen a bristleworm and I could only see the grey part. Then I waited for it to pop out again and saw the head is fleshy color.
I would bet there are no bristle worms in my display tank. I'm so careful introducing any new coral. Also my Leopard wrasse and other wrasses are on the hunt for any critters :D Yet i always find one or two TINY ones when i clean the return pump or skimmer pump... I wonder if I'll be able to get rid of them for good one day :S
@@GalleryAquaticaTV hahahahah, it's just a reference to a meme I found that time. The creature looked so alien to me, so I checked around and found out what bristleworms were.
Thanks for sharing your opinion but we definitely have to disagree on that. The bristleworm species we get in Australia are not desirable and can absolutely damage soft tissued LPS corals. Almost all of the Reef safe fish we recommend for coral tanks do not eat them, and there are many many many safer options for clean up crew which do not harm livestock (or us 🤣) to choose instead. There are over 40,000 species of polychaetes so it’s certainly possible the species you have experienced aren’t as savage as our Aussie ones but I would still advise against them given the countless times we have seen them harass and damage delicate LPS tissue. Best part about this hobby is you can choose to do whatever you feel is right and that’s ok! Happy Reefing! Ania
Ania just brims with love for all things reef'y. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic video Ania, wish I could get one of those traps in the UK. I could do with thinning my population out a bit!
Great to see you back in action on the channel! Those “resorts” do a really great job

Hello, so is there any way to get these worm resorts/traps in the U.S.?
Nice video 🌹

Do you have a link so I can buy a couple little ones?
Hello Gallery Aquatica Team,
I have tiny bristle worms throughout my 4ft tank. I was just wondering how long you can leave the trap in with the bait?
As long as you want, but I’d normally empty it daily if you want to reduce your bristleworm numbers. Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV Cheers Cam
Made my trap out of a pepsi bottle and airline. Had a worm in my clownfish harem tank that more resembled a marker pen. 😂
I need a couple of those traps lol
