For all of you who are wondering, Liam was the voice director for Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where he directed Adam Driver playing Kylo Ren.
The game?
Funny enough, I *was* wondering this so thank you.
Aidan Hunt Did not know that
@@privpi no the playset
Privatizität no the historical fiction, yes the game you dolt can you think of a single other thing named “LEGO Star Wars” that you know of? I mean I suppose there may be a film, but there is no voice acting in LEGO films so that’s out as well, and since there’s no other medium besides those two in which I can imagine that Adam Driver would voice his own character, I believe that we may have a bingo. This was completely unnecessary, and I’m sorry if you’re just a kid who’s ears are still wet, but still - get dunked on.
"Sleep well with your bad decisions." Is something I can hear both Molly and Caduceus saying just in very different ways lol
Honestly, depending on the situation I can hear Percy saying it too 😂
Yeah, that's just Taliesin being Taliesin. He's quite the guy!
The fact that people unironically watch this garbage just blows my mind
@skinnie2838 thanks for your comment interaction it helps support the show for people who enjoy
Dear god, Tal with the epic lines. I am so happy I met him.
Yasha when Matt is playing her: Mysterious, deep
Yasha when Ashley is playing her: _literally the most awkward big scary woman youve ever seen, even in front of the group of people shes been fighting alongside for a good while now_
Yasha when travis plays her: the most flirty badass you’ve ever done seen
I hate to say it but Matt plays her way better.
@@therootb ehh idk, i like how ashley plays yasha over how matt does
matt's version is very gloomy, yasha's is funner imo
I like Ashley, I really do. Love what she did with Pike. But she's barely been here and we're already 40 episodes in. Remind me, why is she playing at all? I'm glad that her career is doing as good as it is, because everybody has bills to pay and I'd be sad if she wasn't able to do that. But her character is basically an NPC that a player occasionally turns up to play.
@@therootb Ashley created the character to be more goofy and less broody, just because she's a heavy doesn't mean she has to be a dark character, I personally really like the way Ashley plays her, Ashley created the character and its through her image that Yasha is portrayed and I think that image is very good, it breaks the stereotypical heavy, not to say a that that type of character is bad, I just personally think this way is more interesting.

Does nobody find it weird that Travis has not called for an insight check on Avantica yet? Like not even once.. although he knows she might be lying..
Oh when Jester finds out lol. if she finds out. is anyone else tired of the monks bull crap??

The first kiss between Jester and Fjord, and laura isn't there...
Also technically he's blowing CO2 into her lungs. Drowning both of them??
@@ohhi7168 My dude... No...
We exhale about 75% of the oyxgen that we inhale, most of it is not used of absorbed by the body between breaths. Breathing air from your lungs into the lungs of another person is not harmful at all. This is exactly what you do when performing CPR, you exhale the contents of your lungs into the lungs of someone else. There is more than enough oxygen still in each breath to sustain them for that breath.
Also, blowing pure CO2 into someone's lungs wouldn't drown them anyway, it would suffocate them. When you have a lot of a non-oxygen gas in your lungs, it takes up capacity that should be used for oxygen. It's why you die from things like gas leaks or if you inhale too much helium without properly expelling it all from your lungs. It isn't that these other gases are actually hurting you, the problem is they are occupying space that should be filled with oxygen instead thus preventing your lungs from absorbing sufficient oxygen.
This is what happens when you're enclosed in a small airtight space as well. You never really "run out of oxygen" within the enclosure, it's just that more and more of the gas in the enclosed area becomes CO2 so its preventing you from absorbing enough oxygen. This is why on submarines and the like, they have CO2 scrubbers in their ventilation systems. It takes CO2 from the air and traps it, thus removing it from the air so the submariners don't suffocate. Oxygen is usually stored compressed into pressurized canisters and released as needed to refill the atmosphere inside. Also sometimes Oxygen is made through electrolysis of water which disrupts the H2O into separate hydrogen and oxygen. The Oxygen is then used to breathe.
Anyway, point is, expelling your lungs into someone else's lungs saves lives on a daily basis.

It has to be so hard for Taliesin to have to lost his character in the way that he did and dealing with that to have so many close calls with his brand new character that he is learning and still figuring out. I can’t imagine all the emotions that he must feel when things are going so wrong and fighting that. Like when he retreated for safety before but than was almost left behind as they stole the boat. He is such a soulful player, which is why, IMHO, many of the most moving and engaging moments -- both funny and serious -- include Sam.
@@bananafish58 there is literally nothing funnier in all of critical role than Grog and Taryon’s shopping fiasco, imo. While a big part of that is because of how naturally comedic those characters are, I think it’s even more so because those are the two most soulful, honest, attentive, and “down” players, so willing to listen to what everyone else does, go with the flow of Matt’s whims, and just really live within the world of the show
Well Liam almost killed him and honestly it's kinda petty that he will argue with Matt over his slow spell for 5 minutes straight but when he almost kills a friend's character it's "I already did it, it's done". Ugh what a douche
@@xXxIMNOTANGELxXx The Hydra had the potential to kill ALL of them, Cad included, for all he knew that Slow spell was the only thing that would let them survive the encounter at all. Also, Beau had like 10 health and Caduceus was full health, there was a decent chance he would survive the fall whereas Beau definitely wouldn't, he probably didn't think of monks having immunity to fall damage, Beau didn't always I think that was from her recent level or training or something, and Caleb would totally put Beau over Caduceus anyway. Also, since Liam DID already argue with Matt earlier in the episode he probably didn't want to be disruptive again. Making one mistake, especially in a game where so many things are going on, doesn't make you a douche or a bad person.
@@M00nSlippers cad was unconcious and on death saves. HP don't matter at that point, he would have taken at least one failed save there
I just love that by the end of the episode everyone looks normal and Matt just looks like he’s aged dramatically haha 😂
He said it himself, he is a broken man 😂 They have all collectively broken him
After this arc I wouldn't be surprised if Caduces developed a fear of water like Nott. How many times has he started to drown in the last one/two weeks of game time? Three, four? What ever it is he is quickly discovering that water particularly salt water doesn't like him very much.
Shhhhhhhh it’ll be fine
That and his friend's lack of apathy for his survival. It took two NPC's to save him, one of which was the waste of space Cosko.
@Elijah Suever while some of those points may line up i still stand for my original statement. Sympathy implies that the crew would, and did, eventually feel bad about abandoning deuce. Apathy would be their lack of concern in the moment. Neither of those are mutually exclusive for the fact that both can happen at the same time for the same situation.
It seemed pretty clear to everyone that getting to that door was more important than saving Tal's character. It took Tal's longest friend Matt to salvage the situation. Liam tried to make amends in the next episode with Molly's old necklace which was good because Liam's character is/was very myopic on his allegiances early on and showed that in his style of game play. Very Zemnian in his thought processes which was both aggravating and inspiring at the same time.
@@eb4305 that's the point, saying lack of apathy means they care a lot, cause they lack apathy, meaning they don't don't care

Caleb: "Do what you have to"
What he really means: "pimp yourself out"
I was speechless for a second when he said that! 😂 He was so serious.
On the other hand, I wonder what Caleb has "had to do" in his years on the run...
Caleb's training was very much 'the ends justify the means'. To him, the discomfort of sexual manipulation is justified if it leads to significant advantages.

Also, yeah it was a barrel but like it's a barrel of black powder on a PIRATE SHIP. It's absolutely gonna be waterproof.
But probably not as much as for like ale or stuff, if it's soaked in water for a few minutes it will let some water through. It would be more time consuming to actually waterproof them, and if the ship is going down the gun powder isn't much use anyways. It's likely that they were more fire resistant than water resistant.
@@taylamuller1811 It'd be as waterproof. Either it stops working after 2 days from the humidity or it's pretty solidly waterproof. Black powder does not like moisture.
Fun fact about gunpowder:
Unless corning has been invented, humidity and water don't do as much to gunpowder as you might think.
If you have gunpowder and you mix water with it, and then grind it in a mortar and pistle (what you grind dry herbs with), you actually make it more stable, and more explosive. But once it dries out again, you can't get water anywhere near it, AND gunpowder has to be kept dry.
Corning, by the way, was invented in the late 1300s, according to Michael Crichton, after 1357; see his book _Timeline._
When Sam realized everyone else took their costumes off and then slowly took his off, my heart broke a little. 🥺

Oh man, poor Caduceus. Starts drowning to death and his new supposed allies (who had already almost left him behind once coming out of Nicodranas) proceeded to drag the drowning Jester with them, one of them risks his own life trying to give her more air, but not one of them pauses to go try and grab Caduceus before bolting for the exit. Instead he was rescued by a shady pirate zealot who's been threatening their lives, and the cowardly navigator who he'd just finished telling off for not fighting the hydra by their side. I'm surprised this wasn't the straw that broke the Firbolg's back. It would be pretty reasonable to ditch the party after all that. Although to be fair, I guess he might not have seen any of that considering the fact that he was busy drowning to death and fell unconscious shortly afterward.
Yeah why are they ignoring caduceus? I understand they haven’t known him long but he literally heals them and has been very useful. As if they would leave him to die? It makes me think the players just forget about Taliesin or don’t care about him. As if you don’t cast feather fall on him. If I was caduceus I would be asking what happened and who saved me, and when I find out Caleb left me to die I would refuse to heal him ever again. I feel like Liam plays too harshly sometimes.
@@jimjam751 Agreed, Liam is playing Caleb pretty callously early on. He's gotten better later in the campaign but it takes a while. Tal's always kind of been the outsider of the group which is hard to witness. This is one of the worse times it was evident. Laura would have been there for him if she was there. Her mom side wouldn't have let this shit fly.
Yeah not the first time watching Crit Role when it hasn't made a ton of sense for the party to stick together. I mean a LOT of D&D parties are like this, so not trying to say that the Crit Role group is some terrible example of teamwork compared to most, but as with many D&D groups, everyone is mostly just out for themselves. Like when the swimming fight started, Beau just immediately left. With all the movement she has, she could have tried to make sure other people got out first considering she could easily leave at any time, but that didn't seem to be a consideration. Another thing is I'm not even really sure why they are helping Fjord with this - he's trying to just gain random power I guess? But if so, why would any of the rest of them care about this. They aren't getting paid, etc, the reasons for following the current plotline just seems very questionable for everyone else. And even for Fjord it's not exactly something great, he's trying to gain the ability to control the ocean by releasing some powerful unknown being? Wouldn't exactly call that a "good" reason to do something. If Crit Role S2 is going to be about not being the good guys anymore, I guess that's their choice though.
@@jimjam751 1) What a meta gaming way to go about things. Hey guys when we were rushing out of the temple who specifically saved me and who specifically did actions that would be considered detrimental to the cause of saving me.
2) Caleb had one reaction to save 5 people falling from death. Of course his character would instinctively save those emotionally closest to him.
3) How petty are you. This character instinctively acts to save those he knows, so I am never going to heal him ever again. That would singularly ruin a game for alot of people.

Watching Travis lose out on those powers was SO PAINFUL. Matt was trying to stress the urgency when he was losing time to follow Avantika thanks to Caleb's distraction... such a bummer!
Fjord shouldn't have needed to make athletic checks to beat her. He has a swim speed with the Mariner Armor and thus should have been able to just take the dash action since her speed was halved and his wasn't.
i was thinking that as soon as he said something to fjord, like wtf are you doing dude.
1 roll removed, but tbh it's scripted so it was meant to be :)
Caleb was the absolute worst this episode. Hoping that this is just Liam playing high Caleb as a real d*ck (because he doesnt know what else to do???) and this is not proof of future decisions on Liams part.
@Axel Henx He stalled him purposefully because he didn't want Fjord to release the seal on the demigod leviathan. Regardless, in the end, the only reward ended up being the ability to cast Control Water, which is a pretty shitty exchange for potentially unleashing a primordial evil. Haha
@@TheThreeHeadedDragon agreed completely I got so mad at this moment because it feels unwarranted, he found the sphere slot before her, was next to the sphere slot and the falchion out already and Avantika was not next to him so it felt SUPER forced to me to do this just to build on a potential villain, at the very LEAST Matt should have given him advantage due to literally all the conditions being in his favor.
