Excellent! Love the new format. The talk through was great, especially the drying process as i have had problems there. Now I know where I was going wrong.

While I am not a woodturner, I love watching and listening to the process. I always have questions that usually go unanswered so love that you are taking the time to explain the process thus making my experience even more enjoyable.

Great video, Matt! You gave us an insight of your design process plus we now understand how long it can take for a project like this. Take care.

I watched your quick take video of this process. Really glad you also did this walk-through as I was having delusions of grandeur. I watch a lot of turning videos and haven’t seen a lot of discussion about moisture content. There is something to be said for jumping in and giving it a shot but with the price of wood and everything else I’d like to make educated decisions as well. That being said, I love the coffee mug idea and I’ll start looking into finding a good beginner lathe! Glad TH-cam suggested your channel. Thanks!

Thanks Bill, moisture content of anything you are turning is an extremely import thing to take into consideration

Great video. Thanks for explaining the finishing process in detail, I thought I was doing something wrong with my DO finishes but just needed more time and patience.
Next request would be a video explaining how you choose whether to use carbide or traditional tools. Cheers!

What type of wood moisture meter would you recommend as I’ve never used one before and find it difficult to work out how much time in the microwave oven my timber needs to dry , thanks for sharing your thoughts in advance all the best from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺

I can't thank you enough for your great informative video! My daughter bought me the kit, but I was having trouble with my pieces breaking off of the chuck when I was using the forstner bit to hollow it out. Your tip to start small and increase to larger bits should work better and I will try again with more confidence. I also appreciate the info on how to apply the Danish oil. I'm so new at this! Thanks again!
