Lyrics:
Hey, little girl, is your daddy home?
Did he go and leave you all alone?
I got a bad desire
Oh-oh-oh, I'm on fire
Tell me now, baby, is he good to you?
And can he do to you the things that I do? Oh, no
I can take you higher
Oh-oh-oh, I'm on fire
Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby, edgy and dull
And cut a six-inch valley through the middle of my skull
At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet
And a freight train running through the middle of my head
Only you can cool my desireBruce Springsteen & the E Street Band performing "I'm On Fire" at the Hard Rock Calling festival in London, 2013.

Who else finds this song is too short?
there s an edited version that lasts more than 9 minutes.- look for it in youtube
You are right❤
Wayyyyy too short
Came here to say it needs to be at least 7 minutes longer.@@rar603
I remember sitting in my dads car as a child listening to this song and thinking exactly, what you are expressing❤😊
You know he's one hell of a performer when a crowd of that size...grows silent.
Oh my God, I was 12 years old when I bought this great album from pocket money myself, now I'm 53 years old, this album, this song I just can't get enough, it seizes me emotionally like the first time, thank you Bruce, for your great music, you've been accompanying me for 41 years now 🫵♥️♥️♥️✌️👍🤘🙏🇩🇪
One of the greatest melodies of all time.
Yes! And here he really sings!
Ja.... ❤️
🖤
Ya brings back good memories
Yes! I agree. Hot 🥵!
Oh come on now. When is this man going to get old. He's as handsome as ever.
I'm 25yo, and I'd run off with him in a second ❤😂.
Oui le boss
There's a reason why this man is called the Boss.
@ Hahahhahaha I'm crying...Underrated comment :)
Of course!! Bc my ex couldn't deliver!! BAHAHAHHAHA
The best
Ask Ann Kelly !
Yes and every time you see him you remember that.
This song cuts through your soul till it hurts - it's so haunting... Bruce's voice and the melodic music behind the song.
Rip dad. He was Bruce’s biggest fan. And I grew to be a huge fan. Love you
Bruce Springsteen is such a stud. Gorgeous. A real man, and an unbelievable singer/musician. His music is one of a kind, and in a class all its own. And I have to admit that I'm definitely on fire whenever I watch him. OMG, if I could ever meet him, my life would be complete. :)
This IS one his best songs... it hurts and pleases at the same time... I love it
AGREED
I can relate
Yes
But Johnny cash made It Better although in a huge fan of the Boss but i must Say it
@@John49910110 naaaa, Cash’s version is good but it’s missing e hypnotic, mysterious and oddly intimate beat and synth of Springsteen’s version; not to mention Springsteen’s voice rlly drums home the intimacy and wistfulness of the song.
The most underrated song ever, should be longer. Classic. The best. Memories. Forever.
Feel fortunate this tune touches your soul..No worry of others
Hi Friend
GoodEvening
Have a beautiful day
I love his song's
Bruce Springsteen I love to listen to his song's
Thank you. ?
How is it underrated though. Have you listened to the radio in the 80s after the album released?
The Boss obersuper 😄
How can u say it is underrated? It is a class song that many loves, but not underrated at all, sorry man get ur comments right next time
this is a timeless song. you can feel it.
This song has haunted me since I was a kid. Still does. So good!
I resemble that remark/ people still think I’m around at all the places I’ve been.....
It feels a bit weird seeing this song being performed during the daytime, as I've always associated it with a hot summer night, just like "Dancing in the dark". These two songs manage to capture that feeling of freedom and blooming nature so perfectly somehow.
I think this was the transition to evening, he was just settling everyone down for the rest of the ride.
One of the best he does
Never new a cross earring could look so badass
This song is a masterpiece!
Indeed
But now he's different! tierd ...
Amazing how effectively seductive this song is, without a lot of lyrics. That’s one heck of a large crowd. Thank you, love that wordless part at the end.
It truly is breathtaking
Nothing more than a nod.. Coolasfuq
I was there!
He has that whole crowd in the palm oh his hand on this song. He is the piper.....
The simple Melody, the calm flow of the music and the steady relaxing singing.. just something you don't hear anymore these days. A great classic hit!
This song makes me melt
Wow ...The Boss ..The Legend... I love this song so much...
Me too; not as good as 'Glory Days' ....
Bruce you have the power to set EVERYONE on FIRE with this song!
Adore!!
Except the Viet Cong you gave them a boost with your cowardice
💋❤️💋❤️💋
Uu
LOVE IT!!
I love this song, it reflects the atmosphere of loss, parting that has passed and will not come back
He sings every song like it's his first time.
Beautiful, haunting, peaceful, dramatic, all at the same time. Has other artist wrote so many classic songs? The sound the band got at a outdoor event was also brilliant. He ain’t called the Boss for no reason!
Yeah Bruce is the only Artist of whom I can listen all songs, ain't one of them is bad or boring. The Boss forever 🤘🏻
This is the music that saves people.
No idea how many times I have watched this video. But having a possibility of writing 1000th comment, I thought I should go for it. A short song giving feeling of joy and sorrow at same time. Amazing camera work and wonderful singing.
I‘m on Fire evrytime I Hear the BOSS!!!🌟🌟🌟👍❤️❤️❤️Klaus S. Blechner🕊🎻🌟
After all these years, I still get the chills when I hear this song. There is nothing like it, I imagine every bit of this song and replay the scenario in my head over and over. He is an incredibly sexy man, even at this age.
70 years old and still got it. Love you Bruce. Happy Birthday.
From algeria 70 years old and still got a talent because simpley he s a boss
Looks 50
People don't understand how hard that drum part is.
I've been a drummer for the past 30 years and still can't keep time like Max on this track. He's the Boss of drummers!!
It is easy in the beginning, but the cramp in ur arms in the Middle is huuuuurting. Max is the best comp drummel out there no doubt
You got that right brother.
Truth
Played it yesterday and my arm nearly dropped off. It's a killer.
Always get a goosebump from watching this beautiful performance.
Totally get lost in this wonderful song … the melody and feeling is just pure perfection.. kudos to THE BOSS
This was my first gig 😍 lucky enough to see Zac Brown, then Alabama Shakes, then the Black Crowes, and then Springsteen blazing through the entire Born in the USA album. Felt like the luckiest kid in the world that night.
The best song ever, made even better by his vocal lifts at key points. Just outstanding.
Mein Handy Song ❤❤❤
My favourite of his haunting and beautiful ❤i love to sing the harmony
I dont know why, but this song makes me cry. The lyrics, beat ..melody is so friggen amazing.
Bruce is king and his drummer is killer i seen him do some crazy stuff.

Algum Brasileiro ouvindo em 2002?❤❤❤❤
Penha Luiza ,2021/03/Brazil Bruce forever ❤👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷
I have a heartwarming memory attached to this song. A few years back I went to my friends bachelor party for a weekend then family vacation then a personal vacation. I was on the move for 2 weeks and the day I finally got back home there was a beautiful thunderstorm for the whole day. It was that sweet late summer rain. So the girl I was kind of involved with hits me up and I wasn’t home for 2 weeks but I said screw it so we just talked and chilled watching the thunderstorm together while this song was playing in the background. We’re
Not together but still a wholesome memory regardless
This song gets more powerful with every second more on fire 🔥
Number One Bruce Springsteen .🎼♥️🇦🇺💋🇺🇸🕺🏻💃💯🎆
Really handsome man
Happy 35th birthday to Born in the USA
How haunting is this song... Masterpiece of writing

Good Lord, we need to listen to good music. Here is the proof of it. I want to tell the whole world that he is unique. Bruce, thank you for all the work you've done and making us happy with your music. You provide good times and bring us hope in these days so much in need of you. I hope to see soon on stage. Take care, Bruce. Be strong and may God keep you in good health. I could be listening to your music 24 hrs. a day non-stop. Thanks, you make everything a lot easier.❤❤❤
I listened to this repeatedly on my way to/ from basic training in ‘85. Music strikes and stokes emotions beyond the senses!
Yes more emotional
Oh man love this song you’re on fire all right love❤❤❤❤
This song has saved me from multiple suicide attempts … now it’s the song I wish to be played at my funeral
That effortless little run at 0:47. Come on now! 🤙🏻
I love the fact that Bruce doesn't water his vocals down and hits every note just as he did on the studio cut.
lol what? his voice is nowhere near as good.
@@hotchowder I guess what I am saying is that he didn't shy away from attempting to hit the notes. Lol
actually i thought he made up for what age might've done to his voice with experience and little improvisations that elevate the whole thing.
Bruce brings you to church with this one.
Me and my best friend loved this man lost my best mate still have the man and and him in my head
I'm on fire watching him sing this song. ❤

Dad for you in Heaven ❤
The best music in town, The music of the 80' s with great artists such as The Boss, Madonna, Michael Jackson, etc. Great times to listen this magnificent music. Great singers with magnificent performances in concert. Thank you for the music of the 80's . We'll never forget these concerts and songs.
This IS one his best songs... it hurts and pleases at the same time... I love it

This is the only men in the world who brings tears to my eyes!
Same here. Although Prince is the other exception. Especially with 'Purple Rain'.
He is the Boss for Everytime
🎸🎤🙏This was my mums favourite Springsteen song , lost her battle with cancer on 18 01 2023 , RIP Ma keep it turned up to 10…… always in my thoughts 🙏
Max Weinberg... Grandmaster drummer.. Enuff said
People who know drums know not to underestimate the difficulty of this drum part
A master of his craft
Absolute. But max is a little dragging here, but this song is hell, really straight 8th without any pause at 88 bpm.
Max plays for the song, not to be heard
Je l'adore ce batteur 🥁🥁🥁
I have great memorys of that song when it came out and on the born in the usa tour. This is where i came in.The first show i ever saw in my life was,a show in Frankfurt Germany where Bruce and Band played the song.
I remember the intro and the story that Bruce where tellin before he started singin.Still it sends shiver done my spine which happens to me always when a song touches my soul from way down inside.Later i saw the video and it is absolut realistic.
You know this kind of feeling, when you don't know what to do and you full of expections, emotion, passion and fear to do the right thing.
Like 》Should i call her up,...No i don't call her up,maybe shes bussy, maybe shes not alone.Should i wait or should i go.Should i listen to my heart or should i listen to my head..Thats exactly what this song means to me...
This song really helped me with mental health a few years ago,,
Thanks Bruce
Lovely .
His voice only gets better with age.
But today a long time ago I found the answer in your eyes and in the wonderful person that you are I discovered that love doesn’t need to have a reason for your existence and that’s why I love you without knowing
🎉Love you Bruce Springsteen ❤
Bruce, du bist mit deinen Songs schon immer meine Nr. 1 gewesen und das bleibst du auch immer, Namaste 🙏
Has this guy gotta a voice or WHAT!
Respect for the palm-muted guitar 😃 its very hard to keep it going on and on for 3-4min 👍
The Boss ❤
Simply the best.
I love you boss. My dream is to have the possibility to see you here, in my town... BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA.
Yes Bruce, you are on fire. All your last videos are pure joy and art, thank you
This fabulous song gives me tingles every time I listen to it. Alone and with good headphones.
