Mr. Beekhuyzen, you are a wonderful educator and reviewer. Thank you for your numerous videos which have helped me immensely as I become involved in the hifi hobby.
Hello Hans, thanks again for sharing. I am currently fine tuning the position of my speakers, based on your past videos and the help of a friend with mirror and some string ;) If it is appropriate, I would be interested to see how you have positioned your speakers in the room for the reference systems that you mention. It would be interesting to have you describe any room specific challenges and compromises that you have made. Thanks again John.
I used my two step system for my loudspeaker placement. Since placement is room specific (including furniture), showing a specific setup only could give false references.
Hello Hans, Thank you so much for your efforts in compiling these TH-cam articles. My go to track at the moment is O hur Saligt att fa vandra Leis Strans Kammarkor. Hopefully, someone reading the comments will enjoy it too.
I am very curious how the Set 2 would compare to the Dynaudio Focus 30 active speakers, as they are in a similar price range. That would be an interesting comparison. Regards 👍
Thank you for the walk through of your impressive systems. When you recently added the PMCs were you contemplating their active speakers? What are your thoughts on active speakers for home/Hifi use? Apologies, if you discussed this elsewhere already. For reference, one of my set-ups has active ATC 150s and I enjoy them quite a bit.
No, but the reason is that for a reviewer it limits the flexibility of changing and reviewing equipment. Reviewing an amplifier isn't possible if you have active speakers, for instance.
Hello, Hans. Thanks so much for all the content. I am an automation installer from Brazil and I am getting into 2ch quality audio. I’ve been watching and learning much from your videos. So far, I have really liked the Tannoys (system 800, 1000, 1200) for ear training and Martin Logans and Magnepans for audio enjoyment. I’ve been thinking of pairing Arcam’s ST60 to the PA240. Would you be so kind to tell me what you think of this? Another alternative I thought was the Hegel h360 (h390 is out of budget). Thank you so much for the content you put out.
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel Hello, Hans. Thank you so much for the reply. Yes, I came across your video in which you explain why you can't comment on theses matters. Hi Hans, I've searched you back catalogue, but you don't seem to have done anything on Fuses or Grounding Boxes. Are these things you have explored/tested? I'd be interested in your view on their impact.
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel no problem. You certainly cover a lot of ground. In pursuit of audiophile nirvana, it might be worth you having a play though. A respected friend of mine with a very keen ear was surprised the difference both items made to his high end setup.

@The Hans Beekhuyzen Channel thanks Hans… assuming the EtherREGEN gets connected to the nuc as the audio serving device? Or the DAC or NAS. ?? Thanks again!!!!
Hi Hans. Thanks for Your informing review as always. Could You please comment Your choice of the specific ethernet switches in the network (the Zyxel GS1900-10HP and the Netgear Prosafe GS418TPP (which seems obsolete now)) other than they both have 2 SFP-ports?
that is the only reason. in front of my setups 2 and 3 I use the TherREGEN and in front of my setup 1 the Network Acoustics MUON Pro. Together with the fibre that works fine.
Im in the market for a good sub, mainly for music. Our livingrrom is 35 square metres. I use the Bluesound Powernode Edge with Dali Oberon 1 (it was an earlier vid you did which made me by this setup - love it!). Now to the sub. I´ve tried to read up on the subject but its hard and mainly are two fractions, those who love REL and those who hate it for not going low enough, low watts etc and rather suggest svs. How big is you room? Which sub would you consider I look more in to?
I see the Scorpios are gone, or did I miss something? I've done that with my Focals, they're in a storage room. I kept going back to the Wharfedales and PSB Alphas.

Hallo Hans , I am delighted following your Channel , you are a great Professional giving reviews and WISDOM with VERY SOLID ARGUMENTS in TH-cam, Thank you !! Looking for good music , after a long research of quality and Cost / benefit , I finally decided to bought the NAD C368 with the Bluesound 2i Card , paired with Dali’s OBERON 7 to enjoy HI-RES streaming music through TIDAL and QOBUZ in my Living room . ( My new cave) To be Honest the NAD 368 sounds good , BUT I am not completely Happy with the result , I Don’t like the Class D AMP, and looking your SETUP 3 in your Channel and other good reviewers , I started feeling something special with the NAD C 316 BEE V2 simple Analog Amp class AB with the beautiful power Toroidal Transformer , plenty of energy and with this nice simplicity. I am planning to change the new C368 80 W Class D for the old Analog C 316 BEE 40 W Class AB , and adding the NODE Bluesound Streamer, Say me please , Am I crazy ??? This is my First question . Second Question , I like the DALI OBERON 7 , What do you think about the NAD C 316 with only 40 W Class AB paired with OBERON 7 ?? Should I Change the speakers too ? Or may be I have to experimente the result first ?? ThanK you !!!

Indeed. The PMC’s took their place.
Hi Hans, could you please give the dimensions of the various rooms in which your three set ups occur? Thanks!
System 1 is in a room of about 150 m3, the others are in the attic and I have no gear to measure that. The roof top must be 4 meters or more….
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel That's a big living room Hans
It’s a living with ‘open kitchen‘. Acoustically it’s about 150m3, visually it’s two rooms.
I am a Little confused that modified RPI based Mano Ultra MK3 sounds better then a Innuos solution for instance
I just judge the sound quality 🙂

The DAVE does 192 kHz on AES/EBU.
Their website shows:
Digital inputs:
4x 75Ω S/PDIF BNC Coax - 44.1kHz to 384kHz
1x AES XLR - 44.1kHz to 96kHz
2x Fibre Optic TOSLINK - 44.1kHz to 96kHz
1x USB Type B - 44.1kHz to 768kHz (16 - 32bit) - PCM and DSD
I’m looking at my DAVE now, connected to my MU1 over AES/EBU. The display of the DAVE shows 192 kHz😁
That's great news. The website's wrong. Thanks, Hans.
