What he said at 37:30 and on resonated so much with me. This is probably my favorite Ryan interview. Good job!

Same, it is kind of sad that churches have become so worldly and repetitive that we have a better spirituallity on our own side

@@SwissFenyx Well, we've also watered down the word "church". The "church" is the body of believers, not 4 walls, a door and a steeple. We are the body of Christ, his bride. When people treat it like an organization instead of an organism, then there's problems. That's why Paul got so upset with the churches in his letters in the Word. When we deviate away from the Word of God to fit and form to the world to make them feel better in their sin, then we have issues and "churches" like Hillsong and Bethel and the Joel Osteen's of the world.

Thanks for opening up both Tommy and Ryan. Growing up in the church, I don't have that "Come to Jesus moment" either. But I am lock step with you in feeling stronger in your faith. And thank you both for giving us hard music fans something to turn to.

So much Truth ! I feel the same way on these topics when it comes to the church

Yeah, I am just not a religious type, and I get so frustrated with people who seem to just want to do "things," but without Christ's values and leading truly in them. They like to build cardboard structures, but I care about Christ and souls and hearts and healing... and unseen things. It takes so much force of will for me to go to a church, even though I love my bros and sisters in Christ sooo much. I think there's a concession + submission, just remembering I was born here and now, and God knows what He made me to be, prepared works ahead of time "that you might walk in them."

We live in a fallen place. God's word is full of wisdom. What pleases Him? We have to trust in Jesus, and not man's way. It's all about Jesus.

Which Jesus you follow matters, though. We need to not worry so much about what people think.
2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

In regard to children, it has come to a point that homeschooling is almost necessary, which I never agreed to in the past. You have to instill Godly values while they are young and God says they may go wayward, but they will come back to it.
