      A fan since the debut and the album that I listened most to was The World Is A Thorn. For several reasons. One for the collab with Björn from soilwork and i think that album hit a higher gear compared to the other ones. So fuing heavy! The production, lyrics, the band sounds epic and no filler whatsoever. A fantastic album! They evolved big time after that one and I listened to it for month. It had/has so many layers. To this day I can find textures in the background that makes a song refreshingly smashing again. Demon Hunter have always been ahead of the time.

      Those two albums are sooo solid. Their self titled record is also amazing. They remain some of my go to albums when I’m needing some type of of pick me up or when I need to slow down and get in my feels.

      @@Keith-thegoodfight While I agree, I sing and play music as well. It seems to come up in live concert more than a handful of times. I love his voice, but I am being objective. • @Keith-thegoodfight
      @Keith-thegoodfight ปีที่แล้ว

      @@undericesinger well I didn’t bring up subjectivity or objectively, but no you being a subject giving your opinion about another subject and his voice is the very definition of subjective. If you had ever recorded a album in a studio you would understand why his screams and voice sound different live. Once again, the vast majority of all bands do not sound the same live as they do after recording in a studio. No reason to point it out when a artist is being complimented. It’s unnecessary

    • @undericesinger
      @undericesinger ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Keith-thegoodfight No, you are being defensive. I have seen many live bands. I have recorded and played live for many years. You can look up multiple videos from 10-11 years ago shot by fans with no pitch correction where he is flat live. Now, he's improved on that. I love him as a person and a vocalist that I'm not going to sugar coat it. When someone is flat in pitch, it's an objective truth. You can love an artist and be honest.

    Great interview. It's so true about Korn. I remember as a little Christian teenager being so wowed by their sound and drawn to their raw, visceral energy. It was bad of course so I couldn't listen to everything.... but yeah, Ryan, I think you're right too! You guys are still in your prime, and yeah, you guys keep getting better (although I'd argue you guys have always been at a really high peak -- I'm going back and appreciating your earlier stuff like Triptych... so good...)... Definitely defying the odds. I always wondered why you guys didn't tour more, but now it all makes sense. God's definitely got a plan through all of it, and I'm glad you guys are still kickin' it. Korn were the band who inspired me to start playing guitar back in the late 90s! I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the inspiration hit me. I was listening to their song Got The Life, and it was that lead guitar part that Brian plays during the intro/chorus part, those octave chords he plays, that was the moment in time I decided I wouldn't look back and I decided to buy my first guitar!
