Luna Light Perfume: you get a summon AND a search off the same card. It's an easy 3-of in the deck :) Zero cost for the Reborn, and a trade-in effect to search (discard 1 to add 1) and zero restrictions for either effect.
Actually will of the salamangreat doesn't need you to send the link monster to the GY, you only need to target a reincarnated link salamangreat and send the spell card itself to the GY, the monster remains on the field. So its second effect is even better if you can activate it
It's still limited, as it is not once per turn. It can also be searched within its archetype really easily with Infernity Archfiend, that can search it multiple types per turn

"Possessed Partnership" from the charmer archetype deservers a worthy honorable mention. it reborns (or summon from hand) any spellcaster* with 1500 def and it doesnt negate their effect. AND if you have two different attribute, its a non target destroy 1 card. although, it is a trap card
Also it can banish itself to set a continuous charmer spell/trap from graveyard face up. Either on quick effect buff monsters by 300 atk for each attribute OR get the other card that summons a 1500 def spellcaster from deck.
@@krystal2445 I actually have had an idea for what they need to bring them up to speed for a while now: Xyz monster based around the Awakening of the Possessed cards, that mimics the effects of its Xyz materials. This would give us a Rank 5 that could: Non-target send a card back to the hand. Monster Reborn. Burn the opponent for their highest attack monster or remove one card from their hand.
"Gateway of the Six" is a legend, it's basically a situation similar to Snake Rain, it's not doing anything special right now, but as soon as something happens that makes Six Samurai a more consistent strategy that card could instantly become a problem.
Yeah I have a six samurai deck in legacy of the duelist.. and I tend to draw it AFTER I've already played my six samurai's annoyingly. But if I do get it, yeah it's a powerful card. Even if I only get one copy of it
Witchcrafter Holiday!!! It also has the effect to return to the hand. It got limited in Duel Links when Witchcrafters were considered broken when used with Grass and Lightsworn

My recomendation: Top 10 "Double Helix" I saw some videos back in day from 2017/2018 and it was used as a term for monster that on Release changed their archetypes and made them "playable" just like Double Helix did. I saw it being used the most as a term for monters that were not "Double Helixes" actually.
Halqifibrax would be number one because it brought back A TON of archetypes to the point those had cards banned because they were not future-proofed (see mecha phantom beasts and blackwings). Union Carrier did as well, and it got banned because non-machine decks also used it to its full power. Modern harpie support made harpies worthwhile as well. Azure Eyes or the floodgate Blue Eyes synchro. Destruction Sword monsters revived Buster Blader.
@@shis1988 I disagree on Halq, the "Double Helix" thing should be for its own archetype. Crystron is only in its name, it could've been literally anylhing else like "Exodia Halqfibrax" and nothing would change in the last year meta. { Double Helix took his archetype to Tier 0. To this day that deck in full power would be a meta contender. Union carrier makes sense for ABC, but it's not an archetype per se. For Blue-eyes I would the Alternative was their Double Helix, because without it, Blue-eyes would be way weaker than they are.
I’m glad that my Goukis made a top 3 spot. Re-match is hands down the best card in the game. You have a way to recycle it (gryphon or tagpartner) you got a consistent machine there.
If I may say some honourable mentions in my opinion? -Bujincarnation: +1 that also recycles Banished Bujins. -Viper’s Rebirth/Ogdoadic Water Lilly: Both similar to White Mirror, but Water Lilly is better +1 due to Reptiles now loving the GY. -Ghostrick Shot: Yet again, like White Mirror. But it benefits a come back more.
White Mirror is actually part of the "White" series. For those who are unfamiliar, it debuted in Arc-V manga and their gimmick is when the monster are revived from the GY, become Tuners.
I recently made my own Six Sam deck, and i'm telling you guys; i usually end my board with double Shien, full powered Appolusa, Beronne de fleur, Destiny Hero DFE and some Solem strikes on a good day too with a tons of cards in hand and bushido counters on my spells. And for OTK The first effect of Gateway is always ready to boost my shien to a ginormous amount of attack point. NOTE: six sam deck can easily get over a thousand counters on gateway so in real life event you just announce that you made the loop (red and blue) and you choose to have a million counter on gateway and the card i forgot to mention that field spell that can place bushido counter on itself to decrease the attack of opponent monsters by 100 for each counter (basically anything the opponent summons has 0 attack lol).
You can't make a play that causes a infinite loop, if it loops and adds infinite counters into the card you can't play the card that causes the loop or you will get a DQ.
@@Nythand it is actually doable it doesn't cause an "infinite loop" it simply allows you to do it as much as you want, so in that case you "Declare" that you did that interaction a million time and you'll get a million counter indeed.(it's not a frozen game state like in the "Pole Position" case).
I know you have covered the topics in the past a few times by now, but seeing all these infinite loops come up over and over again makes me want more videos specifically on them, and why they are or aren't banned (yet)
Comeback is one of my favourite spells in the game. It doesn't completely hand you the win on a plate, yet it has everything it needs to complete massive combos if you get it right.

I know they’re a tiny archetype - there’s like, 6 monsters, and 2 of them are in the Extra Deck, with just enough Spells and Traps to hit a 40 Card Deck at all 3 of’s - but Evil Eyes have a decent Revival card in Evil Eye Awakening. Let’s you Special Summon an Evil Eye from the Hand or Graveyard, or your Deck if you have their Equip Spell on the Field.
Doctor D is already becoming one of my favorite Monster Reborn-like cards, but it’s still pretty new to the TCG, so I can understand why it’s not in the video. Plus, there were a lot of good choices for this topic

battleswaps are not as bad as you implied they actually seen lots of competitive play currently in beetropers deck and they topped second on the most recent YCS remote duel
They aren't what makes Beetroopers good though. Sting is great, but the rest are just blank extenders (as much as that kills me to say, given Pin is my favourite monster in the game). If the Insect type was more supported they'd probably be dropped by Beetrooper decks. Love the Battlewasp representation tho, both competitively and in discussion like here (even if I disagree with its spot on the list), they were the deck that got me back into the game and it's cool seeing actual comments about them, even defending them!

It’s nowhere near the best, but I love Magnetic Field. You can activate it with any Rock type monster and not just Magnets, plus it provides a nice bit of non-destruction removal that you can trigger during both turns.
When you mentioned how well their revival spell works with Darklords, I have to admit I blanked on the whole "copying spell effects" gimmick they have nowadays and my gut reaction was remembering two of the first ones had effects on revival.
"Hieratic Seal of Creation" is a good monster reborn card. I know it's technically a RUM card, but still, being able to mill it and banish for a GY Special Summon is something the archetype needed.
Months ago I bought 3 cyber revsistem at 0,20 €. Now it is a lot more expansive (1 copy=7 €). In my opinion it was a good card. In all the decklist online it wasn't used. Now everybody use it and its price went up. Don't lissen only to online decklist. Use also your mind when making a decklist
Genuinely pretty surprised to not see Infernity Launcher on this list. It’s a +3 when used to summon archfiend and necromancer due to the +1 from the second monster, necro special summon and archfiend search, is searchable itself by archfiend and is not once per turn so can be looped into itself to create massive boards which is why it’s limited
Oh yeah, your right! It is at least 95% as good as Gateway if not better, and had to be limited for the same reasons since two of them could cause infinite summon loops to make super boards.

I would've put Magistus Vritra in Darklord Contact's spot. You get to reborn the monster but then while Vritra is in the GY your magistus cards in your S/T zone get destruction protection.
Mayhem Fur Hire, Quick-Play Spell card: Allows you special summon any Fur Hire monster from your graveyard in defense position. Its pretty straight forward monster reborn card that can set off an explosion of effect whenever u want. You can use it during ur opponent's turn to disrupt plays and give u card advantage if you have any of the level 4 or lower monster on your field. Beat can get u another monster from ur deck. Seal can get u a card from the grave to ur hand. Filo can special another monster from ur grave. Donpan can destroy a face up card, combo that with fulgo and you'll get to draw three cards during opponent's turn which can get u more card advantage in the long run
I really enjoy your videos and they've gotten me back into casual Yugioh, I was wondering if you had any ideas to do a series like the card logs, but instead analyzing an archetype over time, Like seeing how the decks have evolved over various releases and bannings. I myself look at a bunch of decklists and can barely string together why decks play the cards they play.
Mayakashi Winter, Reduces all your opponent monsters by 100 Atk/def for each Mayakashi with a different name in your GY (usually 800 min by doing regular plays), can send itself and a Mayakashi from field to GY to draw a card, and while in the GY you can banish it and 1 zombie to monster reborn any Mayakashi (and they get to trigger their effects). I thought it'd be at least worth the number 10 spot since Yuki makes using either effect very versatile
Not sure if this was a big brain release because Monster Reborn just got announced in Duel Links, which will have it trending in searches and thereby make your video more likely to be discovered by new viewers. If it was, I tip my hat to you good sir for knowing how to play the algorithm game. If it's just coincidence, then I hope it still brings you new viewers; you deserve them.
"Top 10 archetypes in Duel Links released before their extra deck mechanic" For context, a lot archetypes in Duel Links end up getting introduced into the game way before they can use the extra deck mechanic they were created for. One example that come to mind are Bujins, who were first put into the Duel Links in Jan. 2018, over two years before players could use XYZ summon. A current example is Gouki, who despite having some of their best main deck monsters, cannot link summon yet. Thanks for the consideration.
(12:50) As a note, Kizan isn't in the only monster that can special summon itself from the hand to extend combos *INFINITELY* in a Six Samurai deck. There is Grandmaster of the Six Samurai who share's Kizan's summoning condition, but you can only control 1 at a time. Legendary Six Samurai also has Mizuho and Shinai, who can summon each other infinitely. With Mizuho, Shinai and Kizan it is possible in the OCG to summon Heroic Champion Rhongomyniad and use Bamboozling Gossip Shadow's effect to give it 10+ materials on the first turn of the duel. Mizuho and Shinai also have an interaction (that also isn't a hard once per turn) where you can tribute Shinai to destroy 1 card on the field then add a Six Samurai from the grave to the hand. Or alternatively if you control 2 Mizuho and 1 Shinai you can tribute the second Mizuho to a destroy a card, then use Gateway of the Six to return the second Mizuho to your hand and summon her - then you can use the second Mizuho's effect to tribute the first Mizuho and destroy another card on the field. Then you can use Gate of the Six, ad the first Mizuho back to your hand, and basically just repeat infinitely if you generate an even or greater number of Bushido Counters to destroy every card on the field infinitely. Bushido Counter turbo decks are basically "disrupt my plays or I win" decks - and with three copies of Battle Shogun it has ungodly consistency, especially with how easy infinitely looping those three for more Bushido Counters is with Gateway of the Six being able to return them to the Extra Deck. (Other varieties of Bushido Counter infinite loop decks include Toon Cannon Soldier FTK - which can be pretty ridiculous in its consistency - and Warrior Extra Link setting up a field of 7 Link Monsters on the first turn of the duel. They can also use three copies of Saryuja Skull Dread to cycle through the deck - or 1+ Skull Dread, 1 Daigusto Emerl and 1 PSY-Framelord Omega to infinitely cycle through the deck.)
the monster reborn part of gateway played a big role during M4. six sams where able to end the board with 4 syncros pretty easily if they go uninterruptedin the first turn by summoning Shien's Footsoldier Lv1 Tuner over and over again.
I think a better exception for a non-archetype would be Rekindling, since it let you summons as many as you can as long as they have 200 def, and as we know, there are many FIRE monsters with that def, including most of Laval monsters
I used Six Samurai years before the Legendary Samurai were a thing and Gateway wasn't broken but absolutely necessary to make the deck work as they were the quintessential hit hard and fast to OTK before the opponent had a chance to build their board up since the best we could do was Great Shogen Shien who only has 2500 ATK so if we ran into multiple monsters with more then 2500 ATK we often lost and we were super vulnerable to Lightsworn and Dark Armed Dragon. But outside of those meta decks at the time, I had loads of success using Six Samurai as a rouge deck but nothing I did would often be good enough to beat the top-tier decks at the time save for Monarchs which I could beat on a good day with trap cards.
Gladiator Beasts Comeback is also good for recycling destroyed Extra Deck gladiators since the card works on all of them. So if you lose Gyzarus, for example, Comeback can bring him back, then you can contact fuse with him for Tamer Editor, then use him to summon Gyzarus back and proc his effect.
I think an interesting Top 10 would be Top 10 Monsters Effects that allow you to Fusion Summon Also Salamangreat in #2! (Though you read the effect wrong)

Witchcrafter Holiday. On top of being an archetype reborn card, if this card is in the graveyard with a witchcrafter on the field, it returns to your hand at the end phase, unless it was used that turn. Since witchcrafters require a spell to discard, discarding this card means you get it back at the end of that turn, and can use it on your next turn if needed. And if you already used it, you can wait until the end of your next turn to get the card back
For a top ten idea, how about cards that 'cheat' summoning conditions? Like True Dracos using there Spells and Traps to do their tributes and their backrow themselves give them more Tribute Summons, Flundereeze having their continiuos spell that allows you to pay half their tribute cost by sending opponent's cards to the graveyard and their whole Normal Summon spam gimmick, Shinobird Baroness letting you Special Summon Spirit Monsters from deck, etc.. It's a pretty broad idea, and I'm not sure you covered it before, but its still food for thought.

Yes, We also remembered Rekindling and were sure it would be on the list if "White Mirror" but perhaps because Rekindling can target monsters that don't belong to a specific archetype, it wasn't counted.
Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine - it may not be a spell, but it's a staple trap card which lets you either Monster Reborn or SS Eldlich from the deck and banishes itself from the GY to search a Golden Land card - which themselves self-banish from the GY to search an Eldlixir card, giving Eldlich its famed resource efficiency and board presence Other Eldlixirs are Black Awakening, a normal spell which summons from the hand or deck, and White Fate, a quickplay spell which summons from the hand or GY, which both also self-banish to search a Golden Land card Scarlet Sanguine is the most splashable because all 3 Eldlixirs lock you out of summoning non-zombies for the rest of the turn - this doesn't matter for Sanguine or White Fate as both can summon during the opponent's turn and Sanguine can do it from the deck. Also as a trap, it synergizes with Lord of the Heavenly Prison nicely However, all three Eldlixirs can be used to bring out another zombie type should Eldlich itself already be on the field. So if I were to bring out Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower and Hajun, the Winged Mayakashi, on top of another Eldlixir or my normal summon for the turn... EDIT: also Eldlich itself has a hand effect to discard itself + a spell/trap from the hand to remove a card from the field, plus a GY effect to tribute a spell/trap to return itself to the hand and SS a zombie (like itself) from the hand with +1K ATK/DEF and destruction immunity for the turn. And with all Eldlixirs + Golden Lands being spells/traps which search each other out via self-banish from the GY...
The Tindangle archetype has two of their own Monster Reborns: Tindangle Delaunay, which can banish itself from the GY to summon three Tindangles with different names in the GY to the field face down. And Tindangle Angel, which special summons a Tindangle from the hand or GY face down and if it was activated during the opponent's battle phase, it automatically ends the battle phase
Kind of surprised Trickstar Reincarnation didn't make the list, I guess the list stipulation is for it to be a Spell card and not a Spell/Trap with a Monster Reborn effect Trickstar Reincarnation not having a hard once per turn on its graveyard activated effect - that as a bonus can be activated during any turn phase of either player's turn - made a go-to combo extender for some of my resource intensive gimmick decks. Also the fact you can use its field activation effect to sometimes permanently banish your opponent's hand and mill a potentially substantial number of cards from their deck makes it pretty darn powerful already. Then you add on top of that the droll and lock combo and you have a Monster Reborn that can be activated from the graveyard without a hard once per turn which can banish your opponent's entire hand and maybe even leave them with no hand at all. As a Six Samurai infinite loop deck enthusiast though: I do 100% agree with Gateway of the Six's placement on this list.
2:10 don't forget that Desert Locust is an insect tuner synchro, and the restriction last until our end phase, (pretty niche but I expected that since I'm a synchro bug enthusiast...) But is awful that it's available when the opponent has monsters And for ideas: Top of foolish burial (& Goods) targets
When you brought up Ally of Justice, I got the idea for a video about the best cards in the worst archetypes. Your choice for high spots too, either good cards in unplayable archetypes, or amazing cards in okay archetypes
Idea for other video: First one or two cards of different game characteristics e.g. first hand-trap=Kuriboh, first trap-monster=Embodiment of Apophis, first searcher, first negate, first token etc etc, whatever first comes to mind..! Or also present them and then compare them to latest equivalents.
Super All-in: Select 1 synchro Flower Cardian monster you control, return it to extra deck and if you do. You can special summon 4 flower cardian monster in GY(They must first summon properly b4 send to gy) and draw 1 card reveal it, if it a flower cardian monster. You can special summon it, ignore it summon condition. if card you draw are not flower cardian monster, destroy as many monster you control and if you do cut your LP by halve
Top 10 best defensive cards. (Cards that reduce incoming damage, negate an effect during the opponent's turn, keeps your monster alive during the damage step, etc.)
The Creator is a good card with 3000 defense that can monster reborn. So you could easily recycle any monster you send to the graveyard by actually sending monsters to the grave from your hand. So you get to choose which strong monster to special summon.
FYI you can have infinite counters with Gateway with one Six Samurai United. Though you need to run two copies of Mizuho and one copy of Shinai. Then one Mizuho tributes Shinai to destroy the other Mizuho, Shinai's effect returns second Mizuho to your hand, Gateway then returns Shinai to your hand, special summon Shinai and Mizuho, rinse and repeat.
Rekindling. Like White Mirror, it's not achetype, even though it has a Flamvell monster in the art, but attribute, but it's similar enough. Special summon as many Fire monsters with exactly 200 Def as possible but they're banished at the end of the turn is super strong. You basically have a full board of either extra deck fodder or beat sticks, and the banish is only if they're still on the field. They keep printing Fire monsters with exactly 200 Def specifically for Rekindling.
Tokens are always normal monsters and are given lingering effects by the cards that summon them. So I guess it could be something like 'Top 10 effects given to tokens'.
Some white mirror trivia: while it does target all fish type monsters, it does technically come from a small archetype, the white/white aura archetype, a fish tuner/synchro archetype which is all about reviving its monsters from the graveyard. There, it's intended use is to bring back the archetypes main tuner white stingray. So in that sense it makes even more sense to appear on this list

My recomendation: Top 10 "Double Helix"
I saw some videos back in day from 2017/2018 and it was used as a term for monster that on Release changed their archetypes and made them "playable" just like Double Helix did. I saw it being used the most as a term for monters that were not "Double Helixes" actually.
Halqifibrax would be number one because it brought back A TON of archetypes to the point those had cards banned because they were not future-proofed (see mecha phantom beasts and blackwings).
Union Carrier did as well, and it got banned because non-machine decks also used it to its full power.
Modern harpie support made harpies worthwhile as well.
Azure Eyes or the floodgate Blue Eyes synchro. Destruction Sword monsters revived Buster Blader.
@@shis1988 I disagree on Halq, the "Double Helix" thing should be for its own archetype. Crystron is only in its name, it could've been literally anylhing else like "Exodia Halqfibrax" and nothing would change in the last year meta. {
Double Helix took his archetype to Tier 0. To this day that deck in full power would be a meta contender.
Union carrier makes sense for ABC, but it's not an archetype per se.
For Blue-eyes I would the Alternative was their Double Helix, because without it, Blue-eyes would be way weaker than they are.

I’m glad that my Goukis made a top 3 spot. Re-match is hands down the best card in the game. You have a way to recycle it (gryphon or tagpartner) you got a consistent machine there.
If I may say some honourable mentions in my opinion?
-Bujincarnation: +1 that also recycles Banished Bujins.
-Viper’s Rebirth/Ogdoadic Water Lilly: Both similar to White Mirror, but Water Lilly is better +1 due to Reptiles now loving the GY.
-Ghostrick Shot: Yet again, like White Mirror. But it benefits a come back more.

White Mirror is actually part of the "White" series. For those who are unfamiliar, it debuted in Arc-V manga and their gimmick is when the monster are revived from the GY, become Tuners.
Yeah, that's where all those Water Fish synchros that turn into Tuners come from.
I think another very strong card for this list would be Dragonmaid Hospitality. Just to be considered.
I recently made my own Six Sam deck, and i'm telling you guys; i usually end my board with double Shien, full powered Appolusa, Beronne de fleur, Destiny Hero DFE and some Solem strikes on a good day too with a tons of cards in hand and bushido counters on my spells.
And for OTK The first effect of Gateway is always ready to boost my shien to a ginormous amount of attack point.
NOTE: six sam deck can easily get over a thousand counters on gateway so in real life event you just announce that you made the loop (red and blue) and you choose to have a million counter on gateway and the card i forgot to mention that field spell that can place bushido counter on itself to decrease the attack of opponent monsters by 100 for each counter (basically anything the opponent summons has 0 attack lol).
You can't make a play that causes a infinite loop, if it loops and adds infinite counters into the card you can't play the card that causes the loop or you will get a DQ.
@@Nythand it is actually doable it doesn't cause an "infinite loop" it simply allows you to do it as much as you want, so in that case you "Declare" that you did that interaction a million time and you'll get a million counter indeed.(it's not a frozen game state like in the "Pole Position" case).
I know you have covered the topics in the past a few times by now, but seeing all these infinite loops come up over and over again makes me want more videos specifically on them, and why they are or aren't banned (yet)
Comeback is one of my favourite spells in the game. It doesn't completely hand you the win on a plate, yet it has everything it needs to complete massive combos if you get it right.

I know they’re a tiny archetype - there’s like, 6 monsters, and 2 of them are in the Extra Deck, with just enough Spells and Traps to hit a 40 Card Deck at all 3 of’s - but Evil Eyes have a decent Revival card in Evil Eye Awakening. Let’s you Special Summon an Evil Eye from the Hand or Graveyard, or your Deck if you have their Equip Spell on the Field.
Doctor D is already becoming one of my favorite Monster Reborn-like cards, but it’s still pretty new to the TCG, so I can understand why it’s not in the video. Plus, there were a lot of good choices for this topic

I was looking for this comment. Battlewasps have performed admirably lately, so saying they're not competitive is soooooo wrong!
They aren't what makes Beetroopers good though. Sting is great, but the rest are just blank extenders (as much as that kills me to say, given Pin is my favourite monster in the game). If the Insect type was more supported they'd probably be dropped by Beetrooper decks.
Love the Battlewasp representation tho, both competitively and in discussion like here (even if I disagree with its spot on the list), they were the deck that got me back into the game and it's cool seeing actual comments about them, even defending them!

Mathmech Equation (special summon a mathmech from your gy, it gains 1000 atk) is great for securing otks if you used Magma to summon Final Sigma
I'd like to share some fan cards of mine that could fit in the theme of this video and hear your thoughts on them :
_HORROR Reboot : HORROR is an archetype whose main gimmick is having low level monsters destroyed in specific ways in order to cheat out the High level ones who have protection against said ways of destruction.
_Bomber Reload :
It’s nowhere near the best, but I love Magnetic Field. You can activate it with any Rock type monster and not just Magnets, plus it provides a nice bit of non-destruction removal that you can trigger during both turns.
Same with me and fabled regicide, a monster reborn combine with a pop (2 if you discard caithsith)
When you mentioned how well their revival spell works with Darklords, I have to admit I blanked on the whole "copying spell effects" gimmick they have nowadays and my gut reaction was remembering two of the first ones had effects on revival.
"Hieratic Seal of Creation" is a good monster reborn card. I know it's technically a RUM card, but still, being able to mill it and banish for a GY Special Summon is something the archetype needed.
Months ago I bought 3 cyber revsistem at 0,20 €. Now it is a lot more expansive (1 copy=7 €). In my opinion it was a good card. In all the decklist online it wasn't used. Now everybody use it and its price went up. Don't lissen only to online decklist. Use also your mind when making a decklist

Six Sam are always just one or two cards away from being absolutely Meta relevant.
Genuinely pretty surprised to not see Infernity Launcher on this list. It’s a +3 when used to summon archfiend and necromancer due to the +1 from the second monster, necro special summon and archfiend search, is searchable itself by archfiend and is not once per turn so can be looped into itself to create massive boards which is why it’s limited
Oh yeah, your right! It is at least 95% as good as Gateway if not better, and had to be limited for the same reasons since two of them could cause infinite summon loops to make super boards.

I would've put Magistus Vritra in Darklord Contact's spot. You get to reborn the monster but then while Vritra is in the GY your magistus cards in your S/T zone get destruction protection.
The speedroid engine is pretty good in duel links for the raid battles. Speed recovery is sick.
I love junk box, no restrictions since the whole archetype is under level 4, and with Celfon it can lead to pretty strong combos

As someone who enjoys playing Six Samurai, seeing Gateway of the Six at number 1 is surprising yet gratifyingly.
I would like to see more lists like this for other common things like archetypes specific searchers, boss monsters, combo starters, etc
Mayhem Fur Hire, Quick-Play Spell card: Allows you special summon any Fur Hire monster from your graveyard in defense position.
Its pretty straight forward monster reborn card that can set off an explosion of effect whenever u want. You can use it during ur opponent's turn to disrupt plays and give u card advantage if you have any of the level 4 or lower monster on your field. Beat can get u another monster from ur deck. Seal can get u a card from the grave to ur hand. Filo can special another monster from ur grave. Donpan can destroy a face up card, combo that with fulgo and you'll get to draw three cards during opponent's turn which can get u more card advantage in the long run
Infernity launcher deserved a mention at least

I really enjoy your videos and they've gotten me back into casual Yugioh, I was wondering if you had any ideas to do a series like the card logs, but instead analyzing an archetype over time, Like seeing how the decks have evolved over various releases and bannings. I myself look at a bunch of decklists and can barely string together why decks play the cards they play.
Mayakashi Winter, Reduces all your opponent monsters by 100 Atk/def for each Mayakashi with a different name in your GY (usually 800 min by doing regular plays), can send itself and a Mayakashi from field to GY to draw a card, and while in the GY you can banish it and 1 zombie to monster reborn any Mayakashi (and they get to trigger their effects).
I thought it'd be at least worth the number 10 spot since Yuki makes using either effect very versatile
Not sure if this was a big brain release because Monster Reborn just got announced in Duel Links, which will have it trending in searches and thereby make your video more likely to be discovered by new viewers.
If it was, I tip my hat to you good sir for knowing how to play the algorithm game.

For context, a lot archetypes in Duel Links end up getting introduced into the game way before they can use the extra deck mechanic they were created for. One example that come to mind are Bujins, who were first put into the Duel Links in Jan. 2018, over two years before players could use XYZ summon. A current example is Gouki, who despite having some of their best main deck monsters, cannot link summon yet.

I had an idea for a top 10 video. Hear me out. Top 10 BALLS in yugioh (any card with a ball or sphere in the artwork)
(12:50) As a note, Kizan isn't in the only monster that can special summon itself from the hand to extend combos *INFINITELY* in a Six Samurai deck. There is Grandmaster of the Six Samurai who share's Kizan's summoning condition, but you can only control 1 at a time.
Legendary Six Samurai also has Mizuho and Shinai, who can summon each other infinitely. With Mizuho, Shinai and Kizan it is possible in the OCG to summon Heroic Champion Rhongomyniad and use Bamboozling Gossip Shadow's effect to give it 10+ materials on the first turn of the duel. Mizuho and Shinai also have an interaction (that also isn't a hard once per turn) where you can tribute Shinai to destroy 1 card on the field then add a Six Samurai from the grave to the hand.
Or alternatively if you control 2 Mizuho and 1 Shinai you can tribute the second Mizuho to a destroy a card, then use Gateway of the Six to return the second Mizuho to your hand and summon her - then you can use the second Mizuho's effect to tribute the first Mizuho and destroy another card on the field. Then you can use Gate of the Six, ad the first Mizuho back to your hand, and basically just repeat infinitely if you generate an even or greater number of Bushido Counters to destroy every card on the field infinitely.
Bushido Counter turbo decks are basically "disrupt my plays or I win" decks - and with three copies of Battle Shogun it has ungodly consistency, especially with how easy infinitely looping those three for more Bushido Counters is with Gateway of the Six being able to return them to the Extra Deck.
(Other varieties of Bushido Counter infinite loop decks include Toon Cannon Soldier FTK - which can be pretty ridiculous in its consistency - and Warrior Extra Link setting up a field of 7 Link Monsters on the first turn of the duel. They can also use three copies of Saryuja Skull Dread to cycle through the deck - or 1+ Skull Dread, 1 Daigusto Emerl and 1 PSY-Framelord Omega to infinitely cycle through the deck.)

I think a better exception for a non-archetype would be Rekindling, since it let you summons as many as you can as long as they have 200 def, and as we know, there are many FIRE monsters with that def, including most of Laval monsters
I used Six Samurai years before the Legendary Samurai were a thing and Gateway wasn't broken but absolutely necessary to make the deck work as they were the quintessential hit hard and fast to OTK before the opponent had a chance to build their board up since the best we could do was Great Shogen Shien who only has 2500 ATK so if we ran into multiple monsters with more then 2500 ATK we often lost and we were super vulnerable to Lightsworn and Dark Armed Dragon. But outside of those meta decks at the time, I had loads of success using Six Samurai as a rouge deck but nothing I did would often be good enough to beat the top-tier decks at the time save for Monarchs which I could beat on a good day with trap cards.
Gladiator Beasts Comeback is also good for recycling destroyed Extra Deck gladiators since the card works on all of them. So if you lose Gyzarus, for example, Comeback can bring him back, then you can contact fuse with him for Tamer Editor, then use him to summon Gyzarus back and proc his effect.

Witchcrafter Holiday.
On top of being an archetype reborn card, if this card is in the graveyard with a witchcrafter on the field, it returns to your hand at the end phase, unless it was used that turn.
Since witchcrafters require a spell to discard, discarding this card means you get it back at the end of that turn, and can use it on your next turn if needed. And if you already used it, you can wait until the end of your next turn to get the card back
For a top ten idea, how about cards that 'cheat' summoning conditions? Like True Dracos using there Spells and Traps to do their tributes and their backrow themselves give them more Tribute Summons, Flundereeze having their continiuos spell that allows you to pay half their tribute cost by sending opponent's cards to the graveyard and their whole Normal Summon spam gimmick, Shinobird Baroness letting you Special Summon Spirit Monsters from deck, etc.. It's a pretty broad idea, and I'm not sure you covered it before, but its still food for thought.

Yes, We also remembered Rekindling and were sure it would be on the list if "White Mirror" but perhaps because Rekindling can target monsters that don't belong to a specific archetype, it wasn't counted.

Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine - it may not be a spell, but it's a staple trap card which lets you either Monster Reborn or SS Eldlich from the deck and banishes itself from the GY to search a Golden Land card - which themselves self-banish from the GY to search an Eldlixir card, giving Eldlich its famed resource efficiency and board presence
Other Eldlixirs are Black Awakening, a normal spell which summons from the hand or deck, and White Fate, a quickplay spell which summons from the hand or GY, which both also self-banish to search a Golden Land card
Scarlet Sanguine is the most splashable because all 3 Eldlixirs lock you out of summoning non-zombies for the rest of the turn - this doesn't matter for Sanguine or White Fate as both can summon during the opponent's turn and Sanguine can do it from the deck. Also as a trap, it synergizes with Lord of the Heavenly Prison nicely
However, all three Eldlixirs can be used to bring out another zombie type should Eldlich itself already be on the field. So if I were to bring out Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower and Hajun, the Winged Mayakashi, on top of another Eldlixir or my normal summon for the turn...
EDIT: also Eldlich itself has a hand effect to discard itself + a spell/trap from the hand to remove a card from the field, plus a GY effect to tribute a spell/trap to return itself to the hand and SS a zombie (like itself) from the hand with +1K ATK/DEF and destruction immunity for the turn. And with all Eldlixirs + Golden Lands being spells/traps which search each other out via self-banish from the GY...
The Tindangle archetype has two of their own Monster Reborns: Tindangle Delaunay, which can banish itself from the GY to summon three Tindangles with different names in the GY to the field face down. And Tindangle Angel, which special summons a Tindangle from the hand or GY face down and if it was activated during the opponent's battle phase, it automatically ends the battle phase
This is good timing, since DL is about to give us 1 copy of MR next month!
Kind of surprised Trickstar Reincarnation didn't make the list, I guess the list stipulation is for it to be a Spell card and not a Spell/Trap with a Monster Reborn effect
Trickstar Reincarnation not having a hard once per turn on its graveyard activated effect - that as a bonus can be activated during any turn phase of either player's turn - made a go-to combo extender for some of my resource intensive gimmick decks.
Also the fact you can use its field activation effect to sometimes permanently banish your opponent's hand and mill a potentially substantial number of cards from their deck makes it pretty darn powerful already.
Then you add on top of that the droll and lock combo and you have a Monster Reborn that can be activated from the graveyard without a hard once per turn which can banish your opponent's entire hand and maybe even leave them with no hand at all.
As a Six Samurai infinite loop deck enthusiast though: I do 100% agree with Gateway of the Six's placement on this list.

2:10 don't forget that Desert Locust is an insect tuner synchro, and the restriction last until our end phase, (pretty niche but I expected that since I'm a synchro bug enthusiast...) But is awful that it's available when the opponent has monsters

Idea for other video: First one or two cards of different game characteristics e.g. first hand-trap=Kuriboh, first trap-monster=Embodiment of Apophis, first searcher, first negate, first token etc etc, whatever first comes to mind..! Or also present them and then compare them to latest equivalents.
Super All-in: Select 1 synchro Flower Cardian monster you control, return it to extra deck and if you do. You can special summon 4 flower cardian monster in GY(They must first summon properly b4 send to gy) and draw 1 card reveal it, if it a flower cardian monster. You can special summon it, ignore it summon condition. if card you draw are not flower cardian monster, destroy as many monster you control and if you do cut your LP by halve
Top 10 best defensive cards. (Cards that reduce incoming damage, negate an effect during the opponent's turn, keeps your monster alive during the damage step, etc.)

Searches as a graveyard effect
Yeah, I figured this would be here...a relevant deck with an excellent spell.
That battleswap sting the poison is actually seeing competitive play in beetroopers the most underated deck right now it is almost tier 1 deck.
The Creator is a good card with 3000 defense that can monster reborn. So you could easily recycle any monster you send to the graveyard by actually sending monsters to the grave from your hand. So you get to choose which strong monster to special summon.
FYI you can have infinite counters with Gateway with one Six Samurai United. Though you need to run two copies of Mizuho and one copy of Shinai. Then one Mizuho tributes Shinai to destroy the other Mizuho, Shinai's effect returns second Mizuho to your hand, Gateway then returns Shinai to your hand, special summon Shinai and Mizuho, rinse and repeat.
Top 10 cards with negation effects in Duel Links. Feel like this one would be interesting since negations are the meta in the TCG. Also
Rekindling. Like White Mirror, it's not achetype, even though it has a Flamvell monster in the art, but attribute, but it's similar enough. Special summon as many Fire monsters with exactly 200 Def as possible but they're banished at the end of the turn is super strong. You basically have a full board of either extra deck fodder or beat sticks, and the banish is only if they're still on the field. They keep printing Fire monsters with exactly 200 Def specifically for Rekindling.
I would also include Bootsektor launch since technically it does have an effect that can summon from Gy that does come up sometimes
Top 10 Tokens. Not the cards that make tokens, but the tokens themselves (Like the Emissary of Darkness Token Gorz makes)
Tokens are always normal monsters and are given lingering effects by the cards that summon them.
So I guess it could be something like 'Top 10 effects given to tokens'.
Some white mirror trivia: while it does target all fish type monsters, it does technically come from a small archetype, the white/white aura archetype, a fish tuner/synchro archetype which is all about reviving its monsters from the graveyard. There, it's intended use is to bring back the archetypes main tuner white stingray.
So in that sense it makes even more sense to appear on this list
Even so, white mirror was used by Ryoga Kamishiro in the manga.
