Trevor is surprisingly tame since his time in Los Angeles. I think the fact that he knows everyone he's ever hated and loved is now dead, gives him some sort of clarity lol.
Simon is a character like Daryl Dixon. Neither exists in the comics, and are TV series exclusives. The character of Daryl was created for Norman Reedus after he unsuccessfully auditioned for the role of Merle Dixon. AMC wanted someone older and more recognizable for that role, so they went with Michael Rooker. But Norman was too good to leave out so they created a role for him. That role turned out to be FAR more important than the role of Merle. Steven Ogg auditioned for the role of Negan, but didnt have the look or the voice they were looking for, but was too good to not include him. So, they created a role for him.
I hope he sticks in, but I dont know if his character can have a redemption kinda like Negan and Dwight in the comics, or Daryl and Merle in the show, hes a bad guy that doesnt have any good side in him

Really cool to see they were that invested.

Honestly, Simon and Gregory is my favorite dynamic in the whole show, with the possible exception of Abraham and Eugene. Gregory squirms and kisses ass like his life depends on it, while Simon is plays along while pushing Gregory into corners every chance he gets.
People are saying that Simon is almost the same character as Negan, but I'd have to disagree. Simon is not a natural born leader like Negan (granted method of leadership is unorthodox but leadership comes in many many traits and personalities.) I think without Negans guiding hand, compassion towards others of a disturbed nature and stern leadership, Simon would be nothing but a demented lose cannon with zero and I mean zero boundaries and limits, useful for nothing except killing a lot and eventually dying in some vain and useless incident, it is imperative that he remains under some sort of control by someone he fears to act as a sort of bulwark. While Negan is in control he is effectively able to use Simons issues as a helpful resource. Where as Negan is in complete control of his sociopathic tendencies, he knows there is a time and place for everything and still manages to navigate between rational and irrational at any time he so chooses. I genuinely believe Negan would have been a great general or leader in the civilian world if not for the apocalypse and if he had gained some sort of help during his childhood. Here you have the perfect example of when sociopaths meet psychopaths
If Steven Ogg shaved his mustache and did his hair, somethin tells me he'd make an exceptional Joker, I mean his voice is just perfect, I just knew it when I first heard him as Trevor

The taller you are, the more stretched your muscles are. That means the people that are tall are stronger than they look. His arms might not look big, but he can still put out a lot of force with them.
Simon has become one of my favorites in the show. Sad this will be his last season. He owns every scene he is in. Perfect example of how characters not in the comic can be fantastic additions.
Simon has GOT to be the best right hand man anyone could ask for. Every scene he's just KILLIN it. He even brings Negan some scotch and lets him know he got it for him. What a champ!
Yeah, one great quality of The Walking Dead is that there will always be a great cast and characters (Andrew Lincoln as Rick, JDM as Negan, Ogg as Simon and everyone elseee..., even Austin Amelio as Dwight is awesome.)
