I have the same head lights on my Frontier. I have LED’s for the high and low beam. How would I get the dual function since my lights are not HID’s for the low beams.
The relay system doesn’t know if the lights are HID or LED. So using the relay mentioned, it will work exactly the same for running LED in both hi and low beam. The only “down side” to running this setup, if your headlights are off and you go to flash someone (which typically engages just high beam), then the low beam will now also kick on. This really is not an issue if you’re running LED for both beams. It’s more an issue for HID systems that aren’t designed to be kicked on/off. I don’t flash people very often, so impact on my HID’s is minimal. And if it looks like I may need to flash someone (or multiple someone’s) then I would turn on my lo beam and then flash, which would just kick the high beam on/off.
I'm using hid for the low and led for the high do have another link for the harness, the link in the description is dead or could you point me in the direction to make the low beam stay on with high beam
I have made an update from the Morimoto website so anyone can use the link and then search Amazon or ebay from there to find it cheaper if they like. You need a 9007 D2S Relay harness kit. IMO, the Morimoto is the best option. Just keep in mind that the "projector" plug is not the correct sized plug to perfectly fit the H9 high beam bulb. You can spreak the terminal apart and get it to work. However, I do NOT recommend doing that. Better to just go ahead and wire it up correctly with an H9 plug from the parts store. www.morimotohid.com/morimoto-9007-motocontrol-wire-harness?quantity=1 Let me know how it goes!
Looks like the link to the harness for the high and lows to be on together is no longer available. What exactly should I search for, I'm currently running LED for both high and low in stock light housing. THX
Apologies for missing your post. Work and life has been very distracting and I don't get notifications for some reason. Basically, you are just looking for a Morimoto bixenon relay kit. There are cheaper kits, but (at least the ones I've seen) the wiring is suspect and of a smaller gauge compared to the Morimoto. I would also expect the relay and soldering to be better as well - so to me, it's worth more to avoid wiring issues to include overdrawing on too small of wire. This link should be good for a long while and allow you to reference. www.morimotohid.com/morimoto-9007-motocontrol-wire-harness?quantity=1
There is actually. An innovative guy on the Facebook pages, Matt Moo. Check for his thread on Nissan Frontier Club (dated November 5, 2021). He details everything you need to wire up a way for the fogs to not only remain on, but still be controlled by the fog light switch. I have ordered the parts to build this myself, based on his information. However, with work and other time limitations, I've not yet had the chance. But this is absolutely on my "to-do list." I was just looking at these components yesterday. It's not an expensive mod. He estimated $35 in parts. I'd say that is about right - or less.
@@AlexSagisi They are sold under a few different names = different sellers. However, if you look at the lens upon receiving them, they all say Eagle Eyes. So it really doesn't matter the seller, you will get the same headlights, just do what you can to get the best price possible.
@@blackrocknissanthanks.. I wasn’t sure if it was a specific one since you said version 2. But yes I seen all the different brands but same product. Thanks. I’ll be watching this video again when I get them
@@AlexSagisi Ahhh - I see. There are indeed two versions of these lights. If I remember correctly, the original version made available were initially referred to as the c-mod lights as the LED formed along the top, bottom, and outer edge (3 sides) of the lights. Sort of a C shape on the passenger side and reverse C on driver side. So I referred to this design as "Version 2" because it only has the LED on the top and bottom (above and below the headlights). If I am not mistaken, they are both still made by the same manufacturer (Eagle Eyes) but sold/distributed by a couple different sellers. Both versions are still available from time to time - they do tend to sell out fast.
Any link to the HID conversion kit you mentioned you had previously installed for the morimoto’s? I believe you said “blesk” bulb but in order to make that bulb work I would need the hid conversion kit? Very confused due to not quite understanding the names you said. So bulb company name and hid conversion kit that wasn’t shown on video plz. I want to do this exact set up. Thank you.
I’d also like to figure out another relay to keep the fog lights on also. So I’m hi-beam position, I’ll have low beam ON AND fog light ON. It shuts off just like the low beam bulb when hi beam is engaged. I’d like ALL of em.
Blesk is a name that doesn't get thrown around a lot and so I understand it is not familiar. Also HID is the best low beam, and LED is better than the high. After this video I'm sold on getting a set
