I very recently hit 20k VR, and it’s brutal. Things that used to be auto wins for me are now barriers to entry (such as knowing the tech on Wii Rainbow Road), and the Japanese lag is hard to get used to. But it’s honestly a lot more fun than the 10k VR lobbies. Back there my results were mostly top 3 with the occasional bad luck result. Now it’s a fight to even get top half, but I honestly love the challenge now that it’s not a guarantee that I’ll win unless I get Mario Karted. Definitely hoping to see Shortcat at some point

The other day, I FINALLY pulled off the DK Summit shortcut and won my first online race. You are an excellent teacher just by explaining and talking through what you do. Glad you make videos and that you're an awesome resource! I've also now come across my fair share of 'shortcat' racers but my VR is so low, no way it was you, ahaha. Maybe one day!

TH-cam shorts feeds are much more random and less selective than the normal video feed, which makes your videos much more likely to pop up there. The best way to get started in youtube is to make videos about something people are likely to search.
The compilations are great for new viewers, probably. But me, someone who watches your normal videos 4-5xs, this may be the only one i dont watch. I like the story elements of the full video and how you make references to other previous videos or things that happened. Like the fabled Pax for example. Or the imposter shortdog that appeared. Loved the last clip! I'm excited for more content from you. You're my favorite Mario Kart TH-camr!

42:00 Can confirm, boos cannot be stolen by boos. I believe the only other steal-proof item is the crazy 8, but it's a lot harder to tell, so I can't confirm. Also, having those items in your first slot makes you steal-proof, so your second item can't be stolen either

Video 16 of commenting my video idea: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I only take the slowest routes in the race. You can take optimal lines around corners, but for example in sunshine airport, you take the boost through the plane instead of dropping below it. I think you're good enough to still win :)
