You're absolutely right. A blocked drive reversal, on a burnt out opponent, is -2 now.
It's pretty safe to say that recklessly burning out, to put the opponent in the corner, is a thing of the past (I'm looking at you Luke).

@@PrecludeLP akuma raging demon technically EMPHASIS ON TECHNICALLY can punish drive reversal in burnout being a 0f command grab but thats the only possible way and is still extremely difficult to pull of
Problem is they buffed everybody else. Her biggest combo starters got scaled 20%. I’ve been finding workarounds, but gaining is tough at the moment. The ‘hard work’ gettin put back in Kung Fu FR.
You just have to sub out the stand heavy kick from your combos and change your routes it's not the end of the world. The characters that got stronger this patch were also the ones that were already weak and needed buffs so it's not like a character that was in her tier placement last season got buffed and surpassed her in fact Deejay, JP, Luke etc all got nerfed harder. The only thing that will probably be different this season is the bad characters that already lost to her probably just lose slightly less now.

@@paulc7400Ikr, it had that "oomph" you could feel the impact and the animation looks powerful too, a strong high kick to the face, it was fun and satisfying. Now I have to punish a DP with weak ass crHP (does only 100dmg less than the old bnb, it is not weak on numbers, but weak on animation and feel of impact).
I don't think stHK nerf was necessary.

Chun main here, I honestly don’t mind the damage nerfs because lots of other characters got them too, kind of a universal change, but I’m really feeling the extra 3 frames of recovery on whiffed air legs. So many situations I was able to recover in time to do something, now I get thrown.
this is litterally her worst nerf.... the HK and jab scaling is nothing and can be worked around

Modern chun is unplayable now because the damage nerfs stacked on the modern penalty and air legs is her only modern overhead.
As a mediocre player, Chun Li is impossible to get to master now.

@@nelliel If you open your phone there should be a music symbol you can select. Select that, then go to playlist and add desired songs to the playlist(s). You can then set that playlist as background music.
But, if you're looking to add songs to the background in matches, then it's done in character settings where you can change their costume, change fighting controls, etc..
It’s amazing how much it adds to the game when you load up the jukebox with all the old themes. I had to turn down all other sounds to like a 5 so I can properly bang to that shit 😂😎

Oh yeah, people tend to do that. Remember SFV Akuma introduction? Two weeks after Akuma launch, and people were dropping him like hot coals, said Akuma weak. Come first tournament where Tokido brought out Akuma and he absolutely wiped the floor with the competitors and took the win home. Opinion on Akuma changed overnight, lmao.

I really felt the changes the first day I played Chun. I still think she's 100% viable, and honestly I feel like at least most of the changes were fair, but...feels bad to have your main lose power.

Chun’s themes were added in season 2, that’s a buff imo. Cue the alpha 2 and 3rd strike themes 🕺🏽.

The thing is that almost everybody got buffed and they barely toched Chun Li. They need to fix that.

I felt that Lily match, We try to play honest neutral but other characters buttons just outclass ours so it's just more effective to play degen.

Did her damage get seriously nerfed? Her combos do not seem to be doing as much damage as the rest of the cast in S2.
They increased scaling on some of the combos. Interestingly some of her damage got buffed if you look at the patch notes, but off of St. HK, they upped the scaling a lot, which you really tend to feel in matches.

It really doesn't matter what tier does Chun belong to knowing a Blanka, a Gief and recently a Lily player won a world-wide tournament. SF6 has probably the most useless tier list in the franchise.
Some of these tourneys are missing viable big names though . While obviously impressive, it’s not that simple imo

I said on patch she's low A or B tier now and everyone calling me crazy. 20% for 5hk is insane. That's her best combo starter + anti air. Plus all the hurt box stuff and sa2 meter gain nerf. She's cooked. And for what? Got her old 5hp back and a easier mid screen launcher combo? Naw not worth.
Still playing her but I'm lucky Akuma came out.

Ok y'all can anyone help me figure out how he hits the combo at 1:04? I do it like he does but then the stance cancel heavy kick always whiffs and I've tried it on several characters just to make sure it wasn't character specific. It looks simple but I feel like there's something I'm missing. EDIT: I figured it out, it's crouching only

Because Manon can stuff most of her moves with ease. Her and Luke are nightmare matchups.

We can now chip the drive gauge with it and still be safe (-3 on block now).
Also great button to whiff punish with safer hurtbox, and is now + on block after drive rush !
@@TabootrinketI have to respectfully dissagree on the stHP buff, it feels unnoticeable and was definitely not worth the trade of losing stHK dmg. StHP was always unpunishable before with the minor sense of spacing, you never did it point blanc where it was punished by light buttons anyways. And the being + on block with drive rush I thought it was gonna change her meatie game specially midscreen since drive rush stHP leads into bHP and it is too good a combo, but guess what? That was only some training mode stuff, in practicity, her old meaties are still better and need no drive rush. You just have to see any pro-Chun matches now and see nobody is using stHP neither as a neutral tool nor as a meatie, it is just not better than what we had before.
I would trade back old stHK for this new stHP any day of the week tbh.

I notice youre not letting LKicks finish before you hit the level 3. Did that get changed or it's because youre not going for the heavy version for whatever reason? Like @1350 since it's a combo/punish counter you can go for the heavy LKicks version at the end and then immediately level 3 after of done just to squeeze a little extra damage or am i off?
He did use Heavy Kicks but you have the option of canceling it early instead of waiting for the entire move to finish. For some, it's a safer way to go into level 3.
@@theJondar gotcha. I noticed that if I let it finish you do more damage, but then there's the first like in any combo where you mistime it and whiff the lvl3

Also OD Air legs buff is good for Modern since they have to do legs after stomp instead of having jHP
While the Gief are a laugh riot, its always nice to see classic Chunners
Chun-Li is stiil top tier to me despite the netfs. Her back or forward mp can go into drive cancel combos.
Or you can save three bars and do a stance combo for similar damage

How do you add the other street fighter games music after you buy them? I was only able to switch it training mode and it resets after each battle request. Thank you
When changing stuff for each character before a ranked match, like title etc, you can press Y I think to set up a playlist. Then somewhere where it says "battle bgm" you change it to "your character". I dont remeber exactly how but its more or less like this

chun li nerfed? man you put those legs to work man. You should play Touhou Hisoutensoku, and kick some asses and film it to perform Dominance in the enemies
Personally, I've always felt that nerfing is the laziest way to "balance" a game. I think the better way of handling things is to leave the high tiers alone, and buff the low tiers up to match. This way, you achieve the balance without completely screwing with peoples play styles. But, I'm just some guy on the internet.
I think its good to nerf in this game because most characters feel pretty strong and fun to play, but the top tiers have game changing moves like amnesia, luke cr.mp, dee jay drive rush, that separate them from everyone else
@@SuperShado101 I get that. My point is that instead of nerfing those moves, or taking them out completely, why not give the other characters something they can do to even the odds?
That is what capcom exactly said some months ago, that they were rather gonna focus on buffing the low tier than nerfing the top tiers, and they did buff the low tiers, and ended up nerfing the top tier just as they have always done, essentially having the same balance approach they have always has in their fighting games.
I was excited for the new balance approach they said they were gonna take, only for them to backtrack on that statement and doing the same.

Which they did. Sure they nerfed Chun, JP, etc, but they moreso buffed Ali, Ed, Ryu etc.
@Beauleidig it's not lazier to do one or the other. It requires about as much thought on the devs part.
Now, it is less satisfying for a player to see their main nerfed (something even a casual like me can understand), but sometimes a nerf is necessary, if you just attempt to buff everyone you could just end up making the whole game more chaotic. And sometimes a character is legit doing stuff that weren't intended.
But I'm just some casual on the internet. I make no claim of speaking the undisputable truth.

You can't play standard against low MR players. They are just spamming buttons even when they are minus, or even when they get hit. They don't respect the frame advantage you have. Shimming them would work against you.
She's definitely not bad and still top tier imho.

I don’t think you can be low tier with a fireball into drive rush or a cancelable crouch medium kick. Chun just has to work a little harder for her big damage and her amazing neutral is slightly more whiff punishable. Maybe she’s not in the top 3 character debate anymore but you can’t argue she’s trash with characters like Manon or Kimberly still out there fighting for their lives in these streets.

I (diamond) went into battlehub last night and got absolutely smoked (by 2 masters). I couldn’t do anything. Tried to be patient, tried to be aggressive. Tried everything as they were long sets. I literally got fullscreen punished whiffing a jab at the wrong time. And I watch Justin sit in the same spot and whiff crouching heavy punch 3 times consecutively in a Master Akuma’s face and he does NOTHING. I DO NOT GET THIS FUCKING GAME!!
I was playing a master (if I remember correctly) in BH the other day and while he definitely whooped me in our 20 games, halfway through them, they started to get more paranoid of doing certain moves because I think I was punishing them a bit. Conditioning an opponent seems to be a key in gameplay because I’m able to get away with much more from them being afraid of making the wrong move and respecting me lol.
I’m only a platinum so take any advice from me as you see fit but over time with getting better, I’ve learned to look out for their favorite things to do instead of just looking for my own openings to do something. Like how they setup their favorite combos. Stop them a bit playing good neutral and they gain the paranoia/respect towards you making the fight a little easier. Hope that helps!
