- After a brief hiatus for boom boom pop day, I knocked the cobwebs off the fitchin' stuff, and headed up to an OG spillin'way. This place has always been on the tougher side of things, but it looks cool, and there is a lot of different species. Maybe just the usual amount now that I think about it? Who knows. All I know is nothing gets me wetter than a bluegill under a bob. PAAA POWWW!!!

For wacky rig 5” worms, if you wrap the middle with a short piece of electrical tape, go around one time. I use red color tape but black seems to work fine. Put the hook through both sides of the tape. The worm lasts much longer and does not tear as easily. I’ve also used a short piece of 3/8 clear tubing in the middle. That’s harder to get the hook thru but it also works. Try it out.

The slime on the line and the bluegill being gone is my life story. I had a smart one go straight to the only obstacle in the whole water hole, a floaty buey thing, break my line and then drag the buey thing around for 15 seconds until it freed itself. Yep after that time to go

"Hard in the Paint" is basketball terminology about driving to the rim Hard for a dunk or layup. Also could refer the defense. They paint the inside of the free throw lines, and "the lanes" on a court

Josh! You are fishing like I fish every weekend. Except I use whisker seeker bobber's to catch catfish and bass with small bream or minnows. Sometimes I have 2 poles on the bottom with live bait or liver or crawlers, and a bream on a float and a badass light weight pflueger ,8 pound line for bream or 6 pound catfish for supper. I do use plastic, caught 5 out of 15 on plastic last week but nothing catches a 9 pound bass like a bream on a bobber!!!

I started using weighted bobbers a couple years ago and love them. Casting an unweighted bobber is like tossing a whiffle ball by comparison. I also like the way the weighted bobbers react to bites. Thanks for the video Josh !
“Hard in the paint….” Is a basketball term when you playing down low in the painted area in front of the hoop. Holy shinto.

Josh, bro, I had the biggest walleye I've ever seen on my line while feeshin in the Ohio the other day. I yanked it all the way up to the rock that I was standing on, I went to lift it out of the water, it came off the hook, rolled over, and swam off. It was right at my feet and I screwed it up. I was so jacked o*f.

Josh....be careful around those wet spots. Looks like algae was growing where the water was draining and that stuff is dangerous. Many years ago I was fishing a culvert that had the same system as this one and I had been fishing almost all day being careful when stepping in the wet areas and not all wet areas were the same. I stepped over one area to land a fish and boom......fell and cracked my head on one of those deflection walls. I had been there all day and none of the areas I had walked over were slick but for some reason that one spot was bad news. Great video Josh. Love fishing areas like you were in this one.

As a life long bobber fisher, you want that bobber to barely stay on the surface with just the bait. A guy don't wanna have a big fish feel that bobber.

Yee 'ol Bust-Your-Ass spillway. I use harnesses on my wacky rigs. Helps save your baits a little bit. You can get 3-4 bites instead of 1 or 2 lol
I think it’s normal for us fishermen to not be in the mood to fish after taking a couple L’s like that. Kinda how I been feeling lately until I finally caught a decent smallmouth for the first time since April today. 19” 2.5-3lbs ish. It can be tough sometimes bank fishing in PA
That's a dandy smallie for PA. Back in my younger years I used to wade the bigger creeks in SC PA and catch some beautiful smallies. I'd tie a bucket of minnows on my belt loop and fish for hours. Still bet some of those holes haven't been touched in 20 years.

I dont know shit about it and just remember the small experience of it and fell in love. But trout fishing. I've done small bits. But his very first setup I wonder id that could be useful for trout. I've only caught the with live bait but id love to work for one of a jig of aome sort
