What a fantastic museum! WAY more stuff than I was expecting. I still haven't looked up the little topside rocket device on that one tank barrel. Also, here is the Tom Scott video about the very same Panzer Simulator seen in this video: th-cam.com/video/AcQifPHcMLE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QuOSUI7XNGazP7SK Thanks for watching!
It is a Bloodhound. The same as we're displaying in front of the building, except the one outside is the original display model from the "Expo 64", so an inert one. The one inside is the real deal.
Really enjoyed watching your video about our museum mate! Thank you very much and come back anytime - there's always sth new to see in our collection! 😎 I also think you even missed out on our WW2 fortress in the nearby village - maybe worth a separate video...
@@yeahprobably I'm glad to hear you had such a good time here! 😎 Actually, until 2026/2027 the whole museum will get a complete overhaul plus even a new building since there's already so much more we simply can't display right now due to too little room in the existing museum halls. I can also very much recommend visiting our tank weekend that happens once year, tho there are no fixed plans for 2025 yet. I can also highly recommend visting our WW2 fortress. Maybe let me know if you're back and I'll happily give you the english tour (which btw is also sth we're currently working on to have english explanations and texts as well instead of only german ones).
@@dome1075 That sounds awesome! We were aware that the museum is growing, did not know when the completion date would be. If we have time to come back we will for sure reach out! Thank you!
@@yeahprobably Also if you go to the Chicago science museum they have one of 3 left in the world WWII German "Stuka" dive planes hanging up in the ceilings. i think that Tiger II has been as 12 or 20 year restoration to even make it running.

Hi. That 'massive' missile looks like a 'bloodhound'. Good ole British design. Cracking video btw 😊
Awesome! Going to google it now. Thanks!

Super rad video. Def now on my bucketlist!!!!
Awesome! They're expanding the museum in the next year or so as well with a third building.

We had a fantastic time! What an astounding amount of history in one place. I've recommended the museum to several people already.

No they don't do maintenance. What you see here is the restoration to running order of the second Tiger II in the world 🙂
That's fantastic, I didn't realize! Thanks for the info! Maybe we'll see it running someday.

@@SchnelleKat We plan to visit the Museum in Chicago someday, we have heard of it and it looks very cool! I did not know they had a Stuka.
Why do they have a war museum? 😂
it is NOT a war museum, it is a military museum.
