One of the most heartbreaking goodbyes and we didn't even know it! 😢💙
It certatinly hits differently after those few years later! 🥲
Or just how many times we'd have to say goodbye
That's time travel for ya.... nothing more than a headache....
When Moffat writes well he doesn't just make a good episode but a truly great one. This is one of his best.
Such a heartbreaking episode, especially after we see the beginnings of that night on Darilium. Steven's had ups and downs as a writer, but I will always be grateful that he gave us River Song. What a perfect opening episode for the love of the Doctor's lives. Also, the subplot with Donna's fictional family happening alongside the Doctor meeting his future wife is so so sad, but good.
This episode brings so much more impact after living through the adventures of River with the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors.
My regret is that back in 2008 I wish I had at least drawn a vision of the future incarnation of the Doctor that would give River her Sonic Screwdriver, in an attempt to show I had predicted the future if my drawing ended up resembling either Matt Smith or Peter Capaldi.
No matter how many times I have seen this scene, I cry every time 😭 I love the character River Song and was ecstatic when she came back to the show. I will always love Moffat for her 🥰💙💙
I love this episode because it told us a plot that wouldnt happen for nearly 8 years.
And then we had years to prepare for it and it still hurt 🥲
Whew.. David's performance in episode this is emotional. His expressions say so much. One of my favorite episodes and truly a tough one.
This scene hurts a lot more with the established Smith/Capaldi era knowledge
Can we talk about HOW MUCH I LOVE DOCTOR WHO
"Why would I give her my screwdriver? Why would I do that?" 🥰💙💙
One of the best episodes. When River died, she left an impact.
"Now and then every once in a very long while every day in a million days when the wind stands fair and the Doctor comes to call, every body lives." What a lovely ending line, calls back to the end of "The Doctor Dances" with the same line of every body lives.
The library and River Song. My wife’s favorites.
This just proofs that no show in the world comes close the brilliance of Doctor Who.
I literally cry every time I watch this part of the episode 😢 I cried the first time but now, after watching all Doctor and River’s story is so emotional ❤
The Doctor and River just fits.
Definitely one of the best episodes of Modern Who.
I had on the TV one weekend afternoon
and this show was on. I thought it was a movie. I thought it was a great movie. That is when I became a fan of this show. I had never seen doctor who before. What a wonderful introduction to this fantastic world.
This episode was my introduction to Doctor Who, too! It'll always hold a special place in my heart.
I love doctor who so much.
I wonder will they add a subplot in the new season to save her physical body from the library, Or is this a “fixed point”
@Poke-ladd, good question, I always wondered that myself. My head cannon is 11 was able to join her in the Library and they're happy together again
I will never be over this episode, or this scene 😭❤️
One of my favourite two-parters
We are including what River said about donna in the new story arent we? Wow, you really know how to tease! This is going to be the best episodes yet!
Is this the sign we all wanted ??
RIVER IS COMING BACK !!!
…….spoilers
Such s great hearbreaking and yet heartwarming introduction to a brilliant character we would come to love.
I must have rewatched this two parter more than I can say. MOFFAT at his very best this is Prime Writing
Doctoe who is the best show 💙
I AGREE 👍
Her last word was "spoiler" 😅
My order of doctors were 11, 12, 9 and then 10. So when got to this episode, I knew what would happen, but not how... I wept
I love River SO MUCH!!!!
Top5 episode for me
I wish Donna didn't have to think her hubby wasn't real. Loved Rivers intro but we forget about Donna.
Is River gonna be in the 60th?
Doubt it. Just hyping the donna return
This show will never be able to match this type of storytelling. You can feel the true acting and scriptwriting combined. It's amazing, but it's sad to see the show and the main character becoming less of a male role model in 2023. Where has the masculinity gone in the doctor?
I don't care how many girls he ends up with, the Doctor had better come back here and live with River when his final time comes. Whenever that is.
I like Forest of the Dead
Catherine Tate Who Played Donna Noble I Loved Her Loads Lots and So So Much as The Tenth and Fourteenth Doctors Companion in Doctor Who ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Still one of my all time fav!!!
What a Night that was!(24 years)
Plus the TARDIS was still there, so who knows how many adventures they went on 😘💞
Time can be written.
Don't you dare.
Doctor and riversong timeline:
12th doctor: first met
11th doctor met again
10th doctor last time seeing each other before river song kills herself to save the library
It goes 11-12-10. 11 was there when Mels regenerated into River and was "her" doctor for most of her life, 12 only met her (in her timeline) right before the library.
@@ospero7681 oh,ok that's right I forgot about that part
I watched this series today😍😍😍
Why am I weeping 😭
David Tennant The Tenth and Fourteenth Doctor is My Favourite Doctor in Doctor Who 👍
Donna, the jealous type.
Donna. What about me?
Dr. She's my wife. you're just the help.
Who has the original release future sonic . Fond memories.
Who put the screwdriver and book their and in a place where the doctor would find it?
He put it there then came back when he realised. There is a scene in the full episode where he puts it there
This was a Good One...
Stay Gold.
This two parter is by far the worst episodes of Series 4
No way 💀
How. Unicorn and the wasp was the worst for me although midnight is practically equal.
@@nathanwhitehouse8237 Midnight is one of the best episodes of the show
@justsomerandomguyonline1144 No. Its dull and boring. No running round, bunch of characters I don't care about as they haven't had time to be developed
But rewatching the episode after you know what's going on and his relationship with River makes it a lot better
River song has really kept this series alive.
