there's two important things i liked about this stream, one is the amount of thought you used in your diagnosis and the second is your determination especially that it's a gift for your kids nice work 👏
Thanks mate, I do have an analytical diagnostic ability but the problem is it's rare I need to use it these days because I kinda memorised all the symptoms, causes and solutions to the older generation lol. The good thing is as we see new problems on current gen we can do it all over again lol
@TheCod3r Thanks a lot. Watching your video I was able to fix my broken PS5. I had exactly the same damaged chip. I solved it by putting 2 diodes in series to reduce the voltage from 5v to 3.6v
Good to know that even after finding the blown fuse, you still went further to see why the problem in the first place and discovered more issues. Lesson noted
Indeed, it's always best to figure out the root cause of a blown fuse, since they won't just blow on their own and there's always a reason for the issue :)
It was more the fact I know my kids are going to be incredibly happy to be honest. I knew if I got it working they were getting it so it meant a whole lot more to me

Hello friend, I'm from Brazil. my ps5 these days is making noise in the cd drive looking like it was ejecting disc, but there was nothing inside it. every 10 seconds it made this ejection noise. now I restored to see if it would work again and stop this type of ejection but the system does not turn on and does not install. gives error SU-101312-8 when trying to install the system without the drive connected and Su 101326-3 with the drive connected. I don't have any other disk drive to test in place just to install the system neither as shops here nor technicians don't sell the part and don't even know what is available. the play is no longer under warranty even because it has already been opened.
