Hi, thanks for posting all your mod videos. As an SR+ owner, I really appreciate them. I saw Part 1 and for some reason I was hoping you figured out a way to get power through the footwell ambient lighting connector and would use the same pigtail to connect to the RGB. Wishful thinking I guess. I love that you make custom 3D models for everything. It'd be super cool if you shared them on Printables or Thingiverse for other owners. My only bit of advice is your videos are so calming and chill but your intro music levels are too high and it's kind of jarring.
Thanks, I'll adjust the levels, or get a better mic since I'm just rocking an iPhone for recording. Yeah it'd be nice to get power there, but the Tesla is switching that off, so not easy to do that. I'll gladly share them online!
This looks great! I just got a ‘21 SR+ and I’d love to install this in my own, would you be willing to share some more details? Do the footwells turn off and on with the car?
Yes and no, they were wired into the 12V power in the center console, so as long as power is on to that circuit, they are on. Typically it does turn on when you open the door and sit down, but it also stays on if sentry mode is on.
