I think the ratio reflects who was at a profit and who was at a loss and we can say it without any calculations. The actual ratio of A:B:C is 3:4:5 and the mistaken ratio is 20:15:12. Clearly A is at a profit as he has a greater share than B and C unlike the actual case. Similarly, C is clearly at a loss as he had the most share in the actual ratio and least in the mistaken ratio. As for B, he is at a better condition than C by 3 unit (compared to the actual ratio) and at a worse condition than A by 5 units (compared to the actual value). Since his loss is more than his gain comparatively, he is worse off as well. Please let me know if this approach is right or wrong.
your approach will be considered wrong because while comparing two ratios we have to look at both the numerator and denominator, I know sometimes it is so tempting to go with your way but it is a wrong approach to do so
Your approach is absolutely correct! I did the same with A and C, but with B i used calculation. After readling your comment I tried the approach with B as well, and took a few different examples to be sure, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it works! thank you :)
For that question regarding boys and girls, without calculation can we use logic as 30 girls joined and some boys left and total students havent changed so the no of boys leaving the school will be equal to no of girls joining. ( to save time and caculation) ??
It is not said that total no. of students did not change. If that was given this approach could be adopted. But in this case we need to calculate I guess.
33:41 Yeah you actually made me think 🤡 ..... ... . Jokes apart, I watch your videos and I really liked them. I was just trying to spread some laughing 🤣 gas ⛽ in the comment section.
was there any need to convert the ratio into fractions for the first answer first part the ratio were apparently enough to know who got most profit or loss ?
Prove you wrong 😂. You're already wrong, even a mentally challenged people can see that earlier A was receiving 141 units out of 564 units, but now he's receiving 240 units, so he's at profit. Similar to other cases. R u seriously preparing for some aptitude exams or just came here to spam the comments buddy? I mean what on earth you're consuming?
Thank you so much sir. You are the best educator. You explain in such a way that anybody can understand the toughest topics. The way you have been giving us all the CAT related content & that too free of cost is just truly commendable. We will be forever grateful for your hard work sir. May God fulfill all your wishes 🙏
If you add ratios of Actual its 12 and Mistake its 47 , it is not the same. Even though the amount should be same as ratios does not reflect the amount as for now ... once he multiplies it both with lcm of 12 and 47 it becomes same ... and then only ratios reflect the amount
The concept of Profit and Loss Questions have been explained in full detail in the below link in the most simple and innovative manner. th-cam.com/video/sK6SkqSI_Tc/w-d-xo.html
20×2 =40 ...so here we have 47 then it is multiple of 2-3 in-between so asume as 2.3 app not exactly, we are assuming to know which is big and which is small to know profit or loss that's it ,the approximation will not effect the sum😊
New content starts from 18:50. Thank me later.
Thanks

I would have skipped to the next one

@@parthchadha9676Is this enough 😅

Ratio 2 and ratio 3 part are both combined
Sir why b is in losss
It's in loss due to he should be getting 188 parts of 3000rs but only got 180 parts of 3000 so that's why he is in loss
Thank sir❤
