KAPLAN AMERICA glad to finally see these ZRX’s get the value they deserve, I remember them not being popular a few years back, no one wanted upright hyper bikes but now people are hip to their reliability, comfort, torque and control.
I have a 2000 ZRX 1100 with 21,000 miles. Love it. Have the Mean Green and never getting rid of it. This looks very nice. The color combo is awesome.
Sweet machines. I saw Eddie Lawson race his mean green #21 Kawasaki superbike four times, and he won all of 'em. Legend!

I have had a few of these over the years. I currently have a 1999 ZRX, wifh a fully built 1224 engine. Fun bike, lots of torque, its not a high speed top end type bike. They are limited by the stock gearing and the 5 speed. I want to upgrade mine to a 6 speed from the zx11.
And thats not a full yosh exhaust, it's just a yosh slip on, thats definitely the stock header.

A friend of mine had one of these he rode everyday. He was a Harley/Buell factory tech. A quality bike, nice to see one.

That looks like a nice example. I've never seen a black one before looks smart. I normally love these done in lime green but looking good in black, best corbin seat I've seen suits bike well other mods perfect yoshi & pods sound right on point discs rotors in great shape indicative of milage, how can you not love an old muscle bike, looking ripped yourself today Mr kaplin"
The black looks sweet, I had 2 of these bikes, a 2000 ZRX1100 that I was rear-ended while riding, then after insurance paid me I got the ZRX1200 witch I believe came out in 2001. Both where green I mis either of those bikes more than any other bike I had, ran great and very comfortable. Let JR buy it, he is awesome rider.🇺🇸

They are quite addictive, I could see how you enjoyed it. So much power, and with just a few twists they easily run 200 km/h
Saw this bike yesterday during my visit to the museum. My thanks to Carl and Ken Jr. for all their advice and help, with my Yamaha FJ, They pointed me to a local parts shop to get a new battery, My stator failed on the way down, and my bike quit less than one mile from the museum. Thanks guys!!
Rode on the back of one a few years ago. Great looking bike if a little short on leg room on the rear and I'm only 5'4" myself.
Love this bike. Always wanted one, but I would get a Green, Blue, and White one, like Billy has. I'll gladly take the black one though, if somebody wants to give it to me. Lmao.

Thats what i like about Ken,, i always wanted to see someone gas one of thesr bikes and no one will but heres Ken out pullin wheelies on one. 57yr old dude showing how its done. Kens the King,, only man that loves bikes as much or more than me. I envy him and his job.....
These bikes never did much for me but this one looks fantastic.
I just bought one like this. Same year and color, several upgrades. I was going to teach my 17 year old to ride it but then after the first time that I hopped on it and took it for a ride, maybe not.

One of the most underrated bikes out there to this day. Zero rider assistance, you better know how to ride if you plan on playing with this Big Wheel and I'll take this over the ZRX1200 all day and twice on Sunday.

@@brianyoung4863 cylinder liners, cheaper to mod using zx11 or zzr cams, 190 rear (these are better built straight line bikes) easier to tune, slimmer engine, the later 12's forks were cheap, shorter wheel base and it's just my personal preference.

Are they reliable?
My dad had a Norton Commando he just bought it and had a car tag on it . The law pulled him over and told him that is not an automobile Sun. So his brother came and they put the bike in the back of a 66 Chevy 2 station wagon. I guess where there's a will there's a way have a good day God bless America
my buddy got one of those when I got my 2000 zx12r. no comparison. but it's a nice bike
So I bought a green one of these for my first bike. Ive been driving it around but not gotten crazy with it. When he said its a bit too much of for any 20 year old even one that races I felt guilty because im 22 and I do not race haha Well I guess i have to sell it now 😂
Stay safe while riding, I had one of these and they are quietly fast which is deadly, it’s like pressing a fast forward button on a remote, human instincts and muscles aren’t use to the quickness of them , these are basically street legal track bikes

Yep! The ZX cams will drop right in but not in the 1200.If i told you the before and after dyno hp gain , you would not believe it so i'll keep it to myself !
@@richardmerrifield8186 I dropped zx11 cams in my 2000 ZRX1100 years ago....stage 3 jet kit, full muzzy stainless exhaust and modified air box =125 HP, 86ftlbs torque. It has been a blast ever since!
I had a 2002 ZX12R id probly be in love with a ZRX12 better cause of the riding position. I recently picked up a 2000 Valk but ride it like a sport bike. Maybe next yr I'll get rid of it and pick up a ZRX 😀😀
