Not really like others online are but for over here where it really truly is hard im proud
it seems a lot harder to go into a thrift store, with a mindset of only picking up “safe” items. a lot of thrift stores near me sell the obvious flips (phones, game consoles, designer) at 60-110% the ebay price. it’s easy to go in, see those and think that it’s not going to be feasible but I find when i slow down and check the comps any thrift store feels much more abundant. it kind of feels unreal the difference your own mindset makes while sourcing but i enjoy that you touch on that in the videos. Thank you Jride
This I exactly what I needed to hear. I live in Canada and always just told myself you only get deals like this in America. I’m gonna check out my local thrift shops and give eBay selling a try.
Hey jride, just wanted to say thanks for your content. I had my first $500+ sales day yesterday and I just started a month ago. I'm having a lot of fun and really enjoying the process! Learning to find high sell through rate items is truly the key to success. Wishing you and your family all the best into Q4!
I started reselling my grandma’s jewelry on eBay for the first time in September this year and I’m happy that I’ve had sales with it! Been starting to try to branch out to other things besides jewelry, and I’ve sold some stuff locally on Facebook marketplace, and I want to begin to try electronics and stuff like that, that you say sells. My husband has a hoard of electronics, cords, all kinds of stuff like that, etc. and I’ll see if I can sell some! Selling electronics is new to me though, so it’ll be a little bit of a learning curve. At least I can go to my husband for help with testing stuff out to see if it works before reselling!
Because of your channel, I've reached outside my comfort zone. I've added new items I never would have grabbed before and have added 15% more income. Once in comfortable again, I'll add a new category! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it's helped a ton!!
you’ve opened my eyes to look in other areas and I’ve been looking up, buying and adding more hardgood to my store and it has helped tremendously. I’m still learning and have made a few bad buys along the way but it’s helped so much - thx for the content
Dude, you are not arrogant or negative. I am only 5 months into this and watching you and others has taught me so much, and I am constantly evolving based on the knowledge you and others pass on. I had a slow week last week, and as of now (Tuesday) I already have more sales than last week. Because I made the adjustments and kept pushing. Anyway, thanks for all you do and keep crushing it!
Northern NY and no issues finding good stuff to resell and I am strictly a retail arbitrage reseller... sales are a little slow every now & again but that's reselling
At least five full time resellers in my area, small town that I just moved to of about 25,000. We run into each other everywhere. The nearest Target, Ross, etc are 45 miles away but there is a Walmart, Safeway and Ridley's here, as well as Sportsmans Warehouse. I prefer to sell clothing, but look up and pick up everything. Even in this little town, we are all finding good stuff. The yard sales are great as well, although that will give out shortly due to winter coming soon. I left a town of 450 six weeks ago to come here where I could be closer to sourcing possibilities. Winter tends to shut us down at times, but I don't believe that will slow us down because the donations pour into Goodwill, and the other two little thrift stores we have here.
I just wanted to thank you for your pep talks. I recently went to an estate sale where I was searching for my usual repertoire items when I saw a big paper bag with FREE written across it. Low and behold, the bag was completely full of name brand sun glasses, glass frames, etc. (i'm talking Oakley, Ray Ban, etc). If it weren't for you, I would have waledk on by because frames are pretty much out of my wheelhouse. I figured I'd take a chance and have been stunned by the crazy numbers I'm finding for this stuff that they were giving away. Long story short, thank you very much.
I agree that we can all find the goods. I do have to say though, that every person you say is killing it, also has a huge TH-cam following. I'm not struggling, but I don't have the reach that TH-camrs do. I'm actually okay with that, though. I'm making more than I ever did as a teacher. Now I'm retired and doing this full time. My town has 3 thrift stores that are okay, but I have found my best flips at yard sales and estate sales. I look up everything! Thanks for your frank and helpful tips.
Your knack for creative sourcing and the follow up on the the net sales is great. I have picked up some good tips here. One question. Do you have liability insurance? An attorney friend of mine strongly suggest Ebay Sellers always have it. Especially if selling electrical gadgets.
You are correct. Its the person not the area. Just like every job out there everyone plays on different levels. Of course people can get better if they learn and try. Thanks for the great content
Yes. While this video does make some good points, survivorship bias is a real thing. Most of the items he demonstrates never appear in vast swaths of the country. And it's not that other resellers are just beating you to the item. Many of them were never distributed to the retail stores there in the first place.
Earlier this year, I started concentrating on items with at least 80% STR. For the last 6 months, I've been lucky to get 1 to 3 orders per week. And it's been 1/3 of the high STR items. I'm rather frustrated. All I know to do is to keep listing.
@@Rescued_Goodies I promise those with an “overly optimistic” view are the ones crushing it in all of these areas. That why there’re the ones crushing not getting crushed. I had surgery at the end of aug and haven’t listed anything since then. I have around 100 items listed. I’m still selling roughly 5 items a week!! I’m pleased with that number overall. Going to get back at listing this week. I have LOTS of Xmas ornaments to list!
Good info. I have been looking at electronics more. I think my east coast location makes shipping expensive for much of the country, so it takes longer for big items like DVD players. But I got a good 5 disk one recently 🤞🏼I’ll see.

Hey Jride, just want to start off by saying thanks so much for putting this content out. It's nice to see a reseller than consistently shares EXACTLY what they're doing. This is Too funny , and sad , have you ever asked how many people are doing this on their own by themselves but you have your wife your mother your father and a few others helping so of course you have more time and other people you can't even compare yourself when you don't know what other peoples lives are like , although I do not have any issues with any of the stuff yet just you calling other people basically lazy not everybody is like you sir maybe use kind words instead of arrogance it only takes a few nasty words, for the whole world to come crashing down around you .hahahaha gb
Funny stuff how many unsubs you'll get now
,not everyone is the same and a church going god fearing man should know this , .but your still a very young pup ,
Good luck
