      I disagree. As Kreia explains in KOTOR 2, what the Jedi struggle to understand is that Revan never fell. Whether he aligned himself with the Sith or the Jedi, he was always himself.
      Both as a Jedi Master and as a Sith Lord, Revan was always the same man: his intended audience just heard one side of his philosophy, not the whole of it.

      It's because he was able to live two separate lives. One in which he became Sith, and one in which he faced his past without memory of it. Revan's greatest power came from the fact that both lives were a part of him, allowing him to retain the wisdom of both the Jedi and Sith and knowledge of their weaknesses. This is something few could ever achieve, Jedi or Sith, because it runs contrary to how one learns to wield the Force.

    “There can be NO COMPROMISE.”-Darth Revan
    I love this Revan more than the SWTOR version because he isn’t a damn fence sitter breaking the rules of Star Wars. Grey Jedi are for people who want power without the consequences that come with it.

    • @comradekolbot2220
      @comradekolbot2220 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @Exar kun The dark side cosmic entity Never said he wasn’t. I’m saying being a gray Jedi is lazy and defeats the purpose of why The Jedi and Sith exist to begin with. Or why the concept of The Dark side and Light side has been at war for more than thousands of years. Gray Jedi are for people who don’t want consequences in a story.

    • @ph0ax497
      @ph0ax497 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      The Gray comes from understanding that to break your own chains is to seek power to bring oneself into balance.
      To have power is to understand that force existed longer than ideas, and as old as it is, live beings are merely users of it. Balance comes with a cost of grasping the idea of how much insignificant one person against the tides of enemies trully is, and sometimes one act in a heat of a moment, can turn these tides against you, and crush everything that you are.
      But that cost comes also with a gift. Gift of knowledge, that not only you are so insignificant, but also are people that think they are not. And thats the most powerfull weapon a force wielder can have. This balance can push your own limitations aside, simply by accepting the fact, that light and dark has no meaning at all. All that really matters is what you trully believe you can achieve, and the force is simply a tool to create what you believe in.
      Thats the lesson of being gray. Embracing consequencess of being alive, and fighting for what you believe, and betraying ideas that are thrust upon you, spread by teachers of the light, and dark.
      The Force does not condemn darkness, and glorify light. The force stay with only those who are willing to use it. Ideas behind sides are only shackles for obedience.

      Wasn’t the influence of Vitiate gone when Darth Revan & Darth Malak were far from them?
      The mind to destroy the Republic was something Darth Revan twist into it being that he wanted to destry the Republic and rebuild an even stronger Republic that can face whatever Darth Revan saw and doesn’t remember.

      and not darth revan didn't want to destroy republic becose emperor vitiate did not plant any ideas about republics destruction in to revans mind and republic did not done anything to revan so thats that but darth malak wanted to destroy both jedi and republic.

    Basically, Darth Revan taught the Sith wrong, for the fun of it.

  • @BansheeKing22
    @BansheeKing22 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    And this sadly is why bane embraced the ridiculous rule of two and why the sith unfortunately will never truly return. Its why the jedi and many in the galaxy during anakins time either believed the sith to be a myth or extinct. Its why the jedi became so stagnant and believed they had the authority to dictate how the force should be used and what gave the jedi more leeway to destroy lives and potential families all because of thier ignorant beliefs regarding love and attachment. I love the sith but bane is the one I will forever despise. My hatred for bane is equal if not more than my hatred for the jedi.

      The Sith aren't all that great. Their's is a philosophy of achieving absolute freedom for oneself by enslaving literally everything else to ones own will. Such a path has one ultimate ending. A single sith lord on a throne on a mountain of corpses, surrounded on all sides by millions of angry slaves and vengeful enemies. Also the nature of the force doesn't really lend itself that because it connects all things together making it ultimately impossible for one creature to maintain control over it because they're only a small part of it no matter how much they're able to pull on it.

      @GrantKP you need weapons to to show potential dissenters that there's a price to be paid for disobedience. Fact of the matter is there wasn't any wars until that pitiful rebellion stuck thier noses into things they had no business getting involved in.

      1. Peace doesn’t need force in order to be secured. The fact that the Galactic Republic existed for a thousand years with peace and harmony is proof of that. The Clone Wars only broke out because the Republic was discriminatory against aliens in the Outer Rim. No discrimination equals no war. Problem solved.
      2. The Empire did NOT bring peace to the galaxy. What is peaceful about invading sovereign planets that just want to be left alone? What is peaceful about massacring unarmed protesters? What is peaceful about destroying entire planets and murdering billions? What is peaceful about enslaving entire species or even making them extinct?
      3. “Stuck their noses in places they didn’t belong”? How would YOU respond if your hometown was nuked? How would you respond if your entire family was enslaved or murdered? How would you react if all of your freedoms were taken away?
      I hope that you are joking, because if you aren’t, you have some deep moral and spiritual problems and you should go live in Saudi Arabia or North Korea. I wish you luck man. Good day.

    Wow. These are terrible ideas. I tell you the only reason the rule of two Sith ever succeeded in conquering the galaxy was sheer dumb luck that the inevitable death of both Master and apprentice didn't occur until their plan was complete. Once they had a power structure underneath them, they lost any hope of long term survival because there was suddenly a bunch of ambitious military officers working under them with every incentive to see them both dead. Before that, the risk was mainly that in an entire galaxy if there's only two of something, it's only a matter of time until that's whittled down to 0.

    • @seekingabsolution1907
      @seekingabsolution1907 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @GrantKP yeah but that idea of living on through your legacy is similarly unmatched with Sith philosophy, that's why so many of them ruin their organisations, families and legacies trying to cheat death or reach for greater power.
