Nice review! Just bought a 2023 version and get it tomorrow. Previously owned a 2018 A5 and nothing has been able to beat what it offered. Thanks for giving this an honest once over.
Just bought a 2023 A5 S line, cannot be more pleased with it! it's a great car and has more power than I expected with the 2.0 TFSI engine (It's more than sufficient power for my needs, in any case.) Also, it is very comfortable has all the technology and build quality that you would expect from Audi.
Just bought couple of days ago new A5 200hp/FWD in red. Enjoying it every second! It has a sporty look but it is also very practical with this trunk space, can't wait to star the ski season with my new A5. It is amazing how 6 year old design still looks up to date. The only downside is that I have to turn off the auto start stop system but I will get used to it.
@@masamarc7910 bought it for 43k usd, but year was 2022, 0 mileage. Spec wise it’s not the best, but I only missing ventilated seats, panoramic roof and seats with extra leg space
Looking at the A5 to replace my Alfa Romeo Giulia as it nears lease end. The Giulia was a head turner and so much fun to drive. But they don't hold value well, so I have no interest in buying it after the lease (and leasing another one seems silly, since it hasn't been updated in nearly a decade). The A5 Sportback seems to be the perfect blend of sport, luxury, and practicality as a car that can be a commuter, family car, and even road tripper. Your review is really selling me on it!
I had rented both and I went with the A5. From a handling and driving perspective, they are very similar. Both feel nimble and light on their feet w/ a low slung driving position. Where you'll notice a big difference is the cabin and mmi, and in my opinion, a better engine sound. The thing about the alpha is for how sporty it was and fun to drive, the engine note was really lacking. Maybe it's just a German thing to make better sounding engines.
Michael, A thorough and enjoyable review as always. Looking for a sportback. The Integra looks nice but with no AWD, factory heated steering wheel or spare tire it’s a pass for me. The A5 has all of that plus but are Audis unreliable as some say. Thanks! Joe
Great review, goes over each and every aspect. Nice to the point comps with BMW and Merc. Overall, I liked this car very much over Merc , BMW and Lexus.
Thinking about trading my 2019 A5 Cabriolet on the new A5 sport back. More cargo room same sport/ luxury feel! I would miss the rotary nob, quite convenient,

Thanks Gary!
Room for driver is bigger than A4?
@@tiengnguyen4192 I think driver space is about the same. The interior overall feels bigger. Go test drive both.
Really? Even cheap KIA offers remote start, yet you cannot start S5 remotely.
@@sunshadow9704 well I guess that's the car you should get.
This is great!! Great job!! I'm always impressed with the research you do and present in your videos. Concise, seamless, and very user friendly!!
Thanks @WithACapitalJ!

Comprehensive objective review, what I was looking for. Thank you for your great effort.
Very well done. Comprehensive and well choreographed.

Awesome car dude.
Great review. Subscribed
It’s a great car. I test drove one the other day…. My only reservation is that it’s an old design and the redesign is coming in 2025

Going to look at a ‘24 a5 sport back and a 430i tomorrow. We’ll see…
Fixed or adaptive suspension on this car? Is adaptive generally must have with 19 inch wheels regarding comfort?
What is the difference between the 23 and 24 yr models?
Nothing besides more standard features. Same powertrains, same design, same interior.
Audi g-TRON 😎👍💪💪💪CNG
Why is it called a sport back if it isn’t tuned to be driven sporty 😢
