    I bought an RS5 and never even drove the S5. Honestly, the debate was between RS3 and RS5, both of which I liked for different reasons. Was I too focused on the "R" and not the car itself? Probably. But I think the dealer was willing to give a better deal on the RS models compared to the S models because there is a significant gap there and the S is more "attainable" so to speak.

      If you have an "A" car with the sports suspension, it's very close to the "S" cars in terms of handling, AND might exceed a comparable S car due to lower weight/better center of weight vs. the larger engine. I considered the S, but with a stage 1 tune, the A w/ sport suspension is in the same league in terms of the usable/daily power, and the MPGs still stay over 30 on the highway.

      @gamebrigada2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I went this route and kept going to stage 2. It ruined the car. The cats, engine mounts, cooling system just isn't designed to make more power. So you start making more power and things start to break. The tuners don't tell you that, and fixing some of those is a royal pain and is very expensive. If you go to Audi to replace the cats, they pull the engine. If you go to Audi for the engine mounts, they pull the engine. At least the cooling upgrades aren't that bad. If you do have a lift or a mechanic that knows Audis very well, then it isn't terrible. Otherwise you will easily spend more money than the RS in a few years.

    I have a 2023 RS5 Vorsprung coupe...I test drove the M4 which is dynamically a better car, quicker with much more steering feel but I chose the RS5 because I drive on UK roads & don't live next to the Nurburgring. It looks amazing & the RS badge just has that extra gravitas over the M cars. As a daily, it is absolutely fantastic. No regrets whatsoever
