Squirt bottle with 70-90% alcohol to get them on and off. Putting them on, squirt inside grip and vigorously shake out excess, slide on right away. Wait a minute or two. Thank me later. Done it like this for decades.
All I did was ride my bike to the local family owned mechanic shop and ask them if I could use their air compressor with blow gun attachment for 1 minute to put my grips on. The response I got was "yeah no problem!" "Thats a nice bike, what kind a bike is that?" It was all smiles and they were happy to help me.
You can use alcohol, WD-40 it dries out pretty quick or 5 zip ties or hairspray, but it takes a lot longer But recommend to use an air compressor. That scene too many people using glue are a hot glue gun I’ve actually seen people use Lactate or water. I’ve actually seen it one time where someone was using Pam that you cook with for some reason I used to work in the shop so I’ve seen a lot of crazy things that people have done.
Use wd40 and squeeze the end under the handle bars and spray it in then pull the grips off clean where the grips go and put them back on or throw them away and the next day the grips wont move.

I use alcohol
I’m a bike mechanic by trade and I 2nd @supernoobsmith5718 - alcohol is WAYYY easier/better than zip ties.
ISO alcohol is the best but you have to be assed to put it into a squirt bottle, I just use a small amount of Windex. (windex to remove them too)

i use a can of compressed air and and they come right off.
I have an aircompressor but i still use the zip tie method its superior.
