I've broken that same tool in the same spot. You might want to mention how you separate the link plates slightly so the chain isn't pinched in that spot
The direction of the chain is because of grinding. When you hit a curb with it. The smoother side is then on the lower side below the sprocket. So it wont break that easy when you are failing or touching the curb or whatever. If you are just grinding on the oppo site to your chain, it does not really matter which direction the chain goes. At least that is what I always thought.
I got a new 1 recently and tightened my chain tight and now when I pedal it makes a pop or click noise you can feel in your feet when rotating sometimes / even when it’s loosened does anyone know what it might be ? I even took it to a shop and the noise went away for 2 days then came back it’s really annoying feeling the pop randomly. - I think it could have crushed my bearings when I tightened my chain but the shop guy said not really possible cuz I have sealed bearings but idk what the pop could be coming from I even checked chainring and tightened it but the noise and pop feel is still there and this is on a New Kink Whip BMX
Chain is upside down. Check to see if the logo is facing up on the topside when your bike is on its wheels. If the logo is upside down the chain will pop on one complete turn. Hope this helps. Ride safe.
Sup! I also broke a chain breaker when replacing the half link (they are very resistant) ...you must use pressure pliers and slowly put the link in ... use the breaker just to finish the process..
I've had someone hold the chain over the gap of a bench vice and I used a hammer and drift. Not ideal but it will work with a little patience and a steady hand.
Use a socket extension and a rubber mallet. Put the socket extension up against the bear from the other side of the frame and start lightly tapping it with the rubber mallet to pop the bearing out. Use more force if needed.
Pickup a bearing reace remover. Looks like a chisel/punch. I picked one up at an auto parts store for 10$. We'll worth the money. It varies in size. 6 inch to 12. Whatever works for you. I have the 12 inch and works perfectly.

Can you do an actual review on the fiend type B in the day gloss blue I can't find kids on it and I got one on the way
Just a little bit of machinists oil (sewing machine oil works) makes the pressfit work 100% better bro.
WAP Wet Ass Pressfit
Next can you do a tutorial how to remove bearings from frame? Its always a pain to remove them

@josiahrides_bmx Thank you! I'll try next time
@deeplookman No worries bru 👌
